They are very qualitative and have been using them for over 20 years.  He is very skilled and even built small airplane motors.  He is a master auto mechanic.  He is an expert with motors.

We originally brought our vehicle to HAAS Auto Service on or around August 23, 2013 to have a problem looked at by the owner, Bill Haas.  The problem was what appeared to be black oil/fluid in the coolant system.  Bill Haas told us that he was certain that the problem was a bad oil cooler allowing oil to seep into the coolant system.  He diagnosed this without performing any tests.  This is an internal oil cooler that requires extensive work to be able to access the oil cooler and diagnose the problem.  This was explained to us by an Isuzu dealership service manager and a certified factory trained Isuzu technician.  Bill Haas of HAAS Auto Service verbally quoted us a price not to exceed $1,500.00 to fix the problem.  I verbally agreed.  It took approximately 10 days to finally complete the repair.  On September 4th, 2013 when we received the invoice, it was $665.00 higher than what was quoted. (Please Note:  $188.00 of that was for an unrelated tail light repair).  We were never notified of the additional cost over the price quoted.  I did not make a big deal out of it and just paid the total bill of $2,165.65.  Bill Haas assured me that the problem was fixed.  After only a couple hundred miles, we noticed the exact same problem, black oil like fluid in the coolant system.  We brought the vehicle back to HAAS Auto Service immediately.  The owner was very defensive and said that it is now something totally different causing the problem.  The owner, Bill Haas put his hand on my shoulder and told me verbatim "Don't stress over it Ron, I'm going to take real good care of you."
Our vehicle sat in his shop for nearly a month. Although it looked EXACTLY the same as the previous problem of black oily fluid, the owner said that this was a totally different problem now and that it was in the engine head allowing carbon, fuel, etc. into the coolant system. We were very skeptical, but allowed Bill Haas to make the "new repair" to the vehicle.  Please keep in mind this was only a couple hundred miles after we paid HAAS Auto Service $2,165.65 to fix this problem.  They parked our vehicle in his  shop for nearly a month before completing the "new repair".  The work was completed on November 19, 2013.  We were handed ANOTHER bill for $2,865.45.  I was shocked but paid the bill.  That is a total of $5,031.00 to "fix" this problem. In addition, when they put things back together, they did not secure the clamp on the turbo intercooler or properly attach the starter wiring harness, causing us to break down on 2 occasions.
Speaking with several Isuzu dealer service managers in this region, they have never recalled seeing the 2 common causes of this black oily fluid in the coolant happen nearly simultaneously and that most likely one of the diagnosis was incorrect.  Again, I just paid the bill and wanted our vehicle back.  This vehicle is typically not driven in the winter.  Recently, we drove the vehicle and noticed the exact same problem again!  This time we took the vehicle to an Isuzu truck dealer specializing in this type of vehicle for a complete diagnosis at a cost of $360.00.  The problem that we specifically paid HAAS Auto Service $2,865.45 to fix was indeed not repaired correctly.  We brought the vehicle back to HAAS Auto Service the next day, on February 11, 2014 for the owner to once again, for the 3rd straight time, fix the same problem.  Instead of being apologetic and trying to make things right, we felt his response to us was very elusive and dishonest, as he was looking for something else to blame the problem on so he could charge us for another repair to correct the original problem.  The owner, Bill Haas was not willing to acknowledge their mistakes, as doing the right thing would have required a lot of his free labor to rectify the problem.  VERY DISAPPOINTING AND DISHONEST!  Their warranty on their invoices clearly states "Warranty on parts and labor is one year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first."  We have driven the vehicle a total of 668 miles since the initial repair in September.  At this point, we have no choice but to pay another company thousands of dollars more to properly fix the problem.  I have never posted a bad review on Angie's List or any other website about anyone or any company as I understand that this is how he makes a living, but his lack of integrity and honesty warranted this action.

My experience went well overall. The staff was friendly and professional. The pricing was reasonable. The job was a slightly above their expertise, but they were able to install the battery in the end. I really appreciated the effort he put into the repair of my vehicle. They also paid for my rental car on two occasions. I would highly recommend this company.

HAAS Auto Service is great. He has very extensive knowledge. He is honest. His rates are good. We had a vehicle towed in and another company was honest. We have the starter replaced. We had it replaced a couple of months earlier. They kept insisting it was the starter and then we got it towed to his place. It ended up being a $5 part. It's a big difference. That's how we ended up starting to use them because we have a Subaru and this guy knew all about the Subaru and he and my husband got connected. We have Ford and other vehicles as well. He knows about all of those. He is good. If he runs into a problem, he is really good about calling and letting us know. He says "Hey, I need another day on this. Do you need it back now? Can you give me another day?" I would absolutely use them again in the future.

the mechanic was thorough and patiently explained all the problems he found, even took me under the car to show the oil leak and gave me the information I needed to make a decision about whether the car was a good deal or not.  The office was great at getting me in and out on time and also going over the pros and cons of this vehicle.  I wish I lived closer so I could use this service for all my car needs.

If you're going to wait, bring a good book to read.   Location is in a warehouse district and parking is problematic so I would recommend to make an appt and get a recommendation on where to park.

I have used this repair shop several times since I discovered Bill Haas.  I have always been totally satisfied.  The price is fair and the service is always done as promised.  Bill has never tried to up-sell me on anything, unlike other dealerships.

The experience was great.  They were able to fit me in the next day and performed a substantial amount of service in one day.  They are a down to earth company who is very honest.  They applied the Angie's list discount generously and kept me informed throughout the day of the particulars with my truck.  The identified several critical issues and repaired them quickly.
I was very pleased with my first experience at Haas Auto.  My truck operates much better and smoother.  Just what a 160K mile vehicle needed.

I have used Haas Auto Services for the last twenty years. No matter where I have lived I have taken my car to them. About eight months ago I had an oil change, wiper blades put on and tires rotated. They are great with all types of cars. They are honest, totally dependable. They take their time to explain - especially if you are a woman. They do not try to oversell you on things you do not need. They are totally honest. I have trusted them with all my cars. I have a whole lot of friends that go to them now and they all love them.

I have used Haas Auto several times since my first visit to repair my BMW.  Now I bring it and my Explorer and BMW there for all  general service and repairs..  It has always been a good experience time wise and price wise.  The owner is friendly and keeps you informed.  They  will troubleshoot problems rather than just jump in and start replacing parts.  I highly recommend this shop for both foreign and domestic cars.

Throughout the 2 days it took, they kept me informed of the parts status and when I could expect the work to be complete.  It great to find a local auto repair shop I trust to do what they say and only do what's required.

While driving on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, my brakes started to go soft in my car and the low fluid indicator light came on.    Having seen some fluid under the car that morning (assumed wrongfully that it was air conditioner condensate), I realized that my brake system must be leaking.     I called Bill Haas and, since it was closing time, made arrangements to drop the car off over the weekend so that it could be repaired when they reopened Tuesday after Memorial Day.    As promised, Haas diagnosed the problem (a failure of one of the front brake lines), let me know that the replacement parts had to be ordered, but would be in the next day and the repairs would be completed as soon as the parts were in.   True to their word, the repairs were done and all is now well with my car.    I have been using Haas for my car repairs and servicing for the past 6 years, and though it is an inconvenience to travel from Haymarket to Manassas to have them do the work, I would not think of taking my cars anywhere else.    Quality, honesty, and fair pricing have been the hallmarks of Haas's service and the peace of mind I get in knowing that my car and, more importantly, the cars of my wife and children are serviced correctly are well worth the inconvenience of the drive to get to Bill Haas's shop.   I highly recommend Haas without hesitation.
