I filed a complaint against them with my home warranty company and I called them back to ask them how they could tell my warranty company it was a pre-existing condition. Now I have to find someone else to do the work and to state that it might not have been pre-existing. The cost of the service was my deductible, but he did nothing but come out and then lie to the company about it being pre-existing.
Description of Work: This company was sent by my home warranty company. The guy was at my house for about 5 minutes and I told him what part needed to be replaced. The service tech gave me a receipt that just said "need door latch" then submitted a report to my home warranty company that it was a pre-existing condition so my home warranty denied it. It was in reference to my washing machine and that machine has been working for many years and I've NEVER had an issue with the door latch...but he looks at my washer for 5 minutes MAX, I tell him what part is broken and he tells the warranty company that it's pre-existing. I filed a complaint against this company with my home warranty. If you warranty company sends you to this person...tell them you want someone else.

It took help from the home warranty company to get Global to answer their phone and set up another appointment, so we had to wait over a week for them to come out. Then they said the dryer needed a part that they had to order. We have been waiting now for 2 weeks since then and have spent $50 at the laundromat. Still nothing from Global. My dryer is not fancy, and the part is nothing special. This company may be too small to meet the demands of the home warranty company's workload, because everything takes so painfully long. Plus they ignored part of my original problem, drawing this out even longer.
Description of Work: Global came in mid-september through my home warranty company. I told them dryer took too long to dry, made a lot of noise, and that my clothes were getting stuck to the back of the dryer and being ruined. They cleaned the lint out of the back of the dryer, which they said is not covered by home warranty, so I had to pay extra. Either $150 check or credit card or $100 cash. I had to drive to an atm to get cash, because charging 50% more just to use a check seems outrageous. They did nothing about the noise or the clothes being ruined. A few days later the dryer stopped completely.

They were rude, insulting, and didn't fix anything. They were horrible and talked to me in a demeaning way. The tech didn't know what he was doing. He asked me to help lift an appliance; I told him that I couldn't help him due to back problems, and he responded that his back problems were worse.
Description of Work: Our home warranty company selected them to fix our fridge, dishwasher, and microwave; it was leaking. The warranty company kept sending the same company over and over again -- about 10 different times!

We learned about Global Appliance Solutions through our Home Warranty Company. When our washer broke, they were actually the second service provider sent to fix the problem (the first one was unable to accurately diagnose (let alone fix) the issue). We could not have been more impressed with Global Appliance, with whom we had a smooth and happy experience. It turns out that the issue with our washer was a fairly complicated one, and required ordering several parts to fix. I was impressed not only with how Ahmad, our technician, took the time to tell us what the potential issues were, but how he also sought options that would have kept costs to us low. Great business ethics. Ahmad's persistence was impressive, and he was extremely professional, very patient with us (hey, our washer was inoperable for a month because of delays on the part of our Home Warranty company), and also very, very nice. We were also impressed with the Customer Service Rep/ Dispatch that we spoke with, Sumaira. She could not have been nicer or more understanding of our frustrations, and did a great job keeping us informed about the status of our orders. We were extremely grateful that she worked with us to find the best times to schedule the service appointments, and she even made a special Sunday appointment, as she knew I was (for the first time ever) desperate to do laundry! In a way, we hope we never see them again (because that would mean that something broke)! But, we would absolutely use Global Appliance in the future, and would give them our highest recommendation.
