Description of Work: Fire and Ice HVAC, Inc. installed a new furnace and air conditioner, as well as an air cleaner and whole-house humidifier for us. We highly recommend them for their expertise and professionalism. It is always difficult and stressful to choose the right heating and cooling system, especially because of the cost, and we also had to make the decision quickly (our old furnace quit working unexpectedly as the weather turned cold, as furnaces like to do). Fire and Ice gave us straightforward advice and a very fair price, and they acted quickly over the holiday to make sure we could get the new systems in as soon as possible. We would definitely use them again.

Reused existing/compatible humidifier and purifier per our wishes. Replaced old pipes that looked bad. The new internet enabled thermostat is a fun touch.

Description of Work: Fire and Ice installed a multi-zone Mitsubishi ductless heat pump for our home. Two separate rooms are heated/cooled by the system. The installation took place at the day and time scheduled and all care was taken within our home. The end result was outstanding and the system is working well, particularly in our room above the garage that has always been difficult to keep comfortable. | |This is the second HVAC system Fire and Ice has installed in our home. Description of Work: Sold and installed new HVAC system. Overall the installation went well, but there was an issue that required me to call them back. Workers were very responsive to my call, even though I called back after hours, and they assisted me with a temporary fix. A worker arrived promptly the next morning to correct the issue.

Description of Work: Fire and Ice installed a new, complete HVAC system in my small house, including a gas-fired furnace and electric-powered air conditioner. They also replaced my very old hot water heater with a high-efficiency model. There were some problems with the installation in my house -- partly because of a very low crawlspace. However, Kal Davis was there all the time to make sure things worked and to respond quickly whenever I had problems. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and would certainly use them again.

Description of Work: I had a refrigerant leak in my heat pump (Goodman). Another company (top rated by Angie's list) had come out and found a leak in the inside coil but quoted a price of $2200 to replace it, saying it was a special coil that would take a week to get from the factory. I did some research, discovered that my coil might still be under warranty, and called Fire and Ice for a second opinion. From the model and serial number, they discovered from Goodman that the coil was in fact under a parts-only warranty and was in stock at the local distributer. They replaced it the following day. While I still thought the cost was a little high for a few hours of labor and a system re-charge, I was extremely pleased with the overall experience and will use them again.
