Create A Scene

I gave Create a Scene a B for punctuality only because I had emailed the information and a picture after I talked to Ruth.  I never heard back from her but I did have fair warning that technology wasn't her cup of tea.  Luckily for me I called her back and she was in the neighborhood and came right by to look at the chair.  She took the fabric I had and the furniture straight away to get started and saved me the trouble (and delivery charge) of getting it out to the workshop.  I had 10 yards of fabric that I had bought a long time ago....it was discontinued so getting more was out of the question.  The fabric is a tapestry design that repeated itself in squares and straight lines so getting everything lined up was critical.  Ruth and George were incredible!  The worked that fabric and got every last inch out of it and had everything lining up beautifully!  Ruth recommended cording for the chair and had not only selected the perfect complementing color, but even dropped off a sample to make sure I was okay with it.  The seat cushion was a bit worn so George worked a little magic and was able to plump it up and with Ruth's sewing, everything looks brand new!  The whole job was done in a week and I could not be happier!  Both are conscientious workers and proud of their craft...as they should be!  All of my future reupholstering will be done with Create A Scene!

The seat were picked up from our home on the 17th.  We were told they would be returned in no more than a week.  The seats were returned on the 20th.  Both the pick up and return were timely and the work was excellent.  Further, the price was very reasonable and we couldn't recommend Ms. Moore's services more highly.

Fabulous job. Much faster than I anticipated. Ruth came to my home and picked up my fabric on Thursday and returned 2 large floor pillows to my home that Friday. Work was amazing! Will be calling her again soon. She also gave me a couple decorating tips.

She comes and gives an estimate with a price quote.  If you accept she tells you approximately when the work will be done.  You can call her if you forgot something or need something else added.  She calls when the work is done and asks when it is convenient to deliver the finished product.

She was good. She came out. She was timely. She provided a timely estimate and she was fair.

Ruth is fantastic! She did an outstanding job altering curtains for my office. She came on the same day that I called her for service to measure my windows. She was extremely helpful providing suggestions on how to maximize the look of my windows. In less than two weeks, she finished the alteration and returned to hang the curtains. Finally, the price was extremely reasonable - I paid much less than I expected to. I definitely will be contacting her in the future for help with additional window treatments. I highly recommend her services. She is outstanding! Thank you, Ruth.

Create A Scene was good. They were timely, the cloth fit well and it was just overall great. They did a good job.

Ms. Moore came to my home with sample books and measured for the cushions.  She advised me on colors and helped to pick the best color for my deck.  She also suggested using the easy dry fill so when it rains the cushions dry quickly.  We have talked about window treatments and more cushions for my home.  She was timely in her delivery of the finished cushions.

I contacted Ruth to see if she had time to make pillows and cushion covers for a beach condo.  She came to my home and together we picked out indoor/outdoor fabric online for multiple pillows and cushions.  I was playing it safe with colors and her suggestions were much better, her experience is that extra you get when working with her!  I had the fabric shipped directly to her and within ten days had the pillows and cushions.  Her work is the best.  Last year she made slipcovers for a sectional couch for me, five different pieces, and it is fabulous.  She also made slipcovers for eight wooden dining room chairs.  The chairs looked sort of "country" and I wanted to update the look.  She took a picture I found online of something I liked and took a chair and that was all she needed.  This lady does beautiful work and I'm so glad I found her!

Ruth was very professional, punctual, and pleasant to talk with.  At our initial meeting she listened very attentively to what I needed done and offered her professional advice and recommendations.
Ruth went the extra mile by re-doing the work she had already done to ensure that I was pleased with the final product.  She is a gem!  I would definitely refer her and work with her again.

Ruth visited my home to take measurements.  When I tried to give them over the phone she wanted to make sure they were exact.  She came with fabric samples and also met me at a local fabric store to get just the right fabric.  She was there from the start through installation.  I will be working with her again soon on my living room renovations.

She works out of her home. She just comes to me whenever I have something and we go over it. She had to come in and fix the curtains that I had someone else do it initially. The quality of her work is excellent. She suggests styles and ways of doing things that I would not consider. When she made that duvet cover, she sewed it in such a way that whatever she put in got attached to the duvet itself and didn't slide. Those little touches mean a lot. Her prices are very reasonable. She is very prompt and professional. I don’t have to wait long and I understand that if she is backed up sometimes. You need to wait a little bit when you want somebody who is that good. I have used her several times and I would use her again.
