Clean Cut Tree Services LLC

I purchased the big deal on tree services from CleanCut Tree Services. I never heard from CleanCut. I left messages on their voice mail. An Angie's List representative said they would try to contact CleanCut for me. Finally the Angie's List representative said they would issue me a refund and offer suggestions on another tree services provider. Angie's List has been helpful. However, this is the second time I have tried to use a big deal for tree services. I had the same kind of experience with Out on a Limb about two years ago. The owner of Out on a Limb told me he had been overwhelmed with the response. I suggest that Angie's List investigate big deal candidates beforehand to determine if the company CAN indeed handle a rush of business.

They were slow at answering my request but finally called. It took them 2 wks to finally get to the job. They said they would be here by 10am but were delayed by having to finish a job they didn't get finished the day before becuz of the rain and thunderstorms.. Once here one guy did the work of grinding down the stumps and leveling them below the line of the lawn. Took him 2 hours plus. We are happy with the work and would consider them again..

Would not hesitate to use them again. Top notch service, very competitive prices, and very friendly and responsive. Mark is one of the better people I've worked with from Angie's List. Highly recommend.

Provider said he would call to schedule appointment week of September first- never called, I called and he made an appointment for the 6th of September, 10-11. Never showed up or called. Finally left message at 2:30. I called back and said I did not want to go through with service.

It took awhile to schedule the appointment for the estimate but once that was done, everything was great. The estimate was reasonable and they performed the work as requested.

I called to get an estimate and was told that they had a tree removal crew in my neighborhood a few days later and that they could remove the trees the same day if I accepted the quote. They assured me that I did not need to be home to meet them, so I marked the trees with ribbon and awaited their call day-of. Mark called me when he was on his way and I talked him through what we wanted done. They removed both threes on the spot for the Angie's List coupon ($99 for $200 worth of services) and followed up with an estimate for tree pruning. Overall, I am pleased with the service -- CleanCut was quick to respond and offered a reasonable price. The arborist called me back with a quote for pruning another tree the following morning with options and recommendations. I'd use them again.

The crew arrived on time and ready to go. We took a tour of the property to review the plans we had gone over previously. They worked efficiently and meticuously cleaned up all items when they were done. Mark was very personable with my 4 year old son as he was fascinated by the workers "climbing the trees to cut the trees" The team was eager to make sure everything was as expected. Follow up emails to make sure things went well was pleasantly received.

I got an estimate from Mark for removal of 3 tree stumps. We agree on $300.00, but when he was doing the job one of the tires went flat on the machine. He got side tracked with that & forgot the stump in the backyard. I emailed him & he came out the next day promptly and got the job done. He was friendly, professional and did all that we agreed to. I would hire him again!

It was an easy experience with this company, but he didn't tell me what it would of cost for the future!

I would highly reccomend Clean Cut Trees and I am very happy with their professional manner and the great work done. I had a small job that they treated with all the importance of a huge job. He trimmed and shaped my overgrown townhouse tree with thoughtful consideration and good advice. He took his time and cleaned up beautifully. Thanks again.

Before work was done, provider needed to be called to remind him of his appointment. He also stated that it was a 1 or 2 person business and that he needs an assistant to help with his scheduling. After making contact with provider, he arrived within 20 minutes to do the work. He completed the job in 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Work was done to my satisfaction. I would use him again.

Excellant contractor and services. I would not hesitate to refer them to others.

I have used Cleancut Tree Service in the past and I am very happy with the pricing, honesty, and overall quality of the work. Mark arrived on time and did an excellent job of removing a massive root system from a large white pine and he also ground-up several other smaller stumps. Mark also took a look at some other tree problems and gave me some advice about the nature and remedy of the problems. Mark also raked the grindings and smoothed the surfaces so that we can replant at some future date. It is always a good experience working with Cleancut Tree Services and I highly recommend them.

They were very polite and professional. I was just unable to use the deal due to the company not servicing my area.

The white pine was cut-up, removed and Mark and his team cleaned-up the area. I am working with Mark to schedule the grinding of the remaining stump and some smaller work in the near future. Mark is very knowledgeable about trees and he gave me some good advice concerning other work that I need done in the future. Mark is also very honest, professional and reasonable to work with in terms of price and otherwise.

Clearing of dead wood from two trees was a huge job. The silver maple is roughly 70 feet high, and was full of dead branches. I wish I could include a picture here of the before and after, TERRIFIC job on both trees. The both look beautiful. Mark came out the day I called him for an estimate, talked through everything, and was very professional. On the day of service, there was barely a wood chip left in the yard, you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for the beautiful work on both trees. I have a total of 9 mature trees in my back yard, and Mark from Clean Cut Trees will be the first person I call in the future. They are scheduled to come back within a month to grind the stump, I told Mark there was no rush, and agreed that he could do it on a day when he had a few other stumps to grind to make things more economical for the crew/equipment. Update: Mark came out a few weeks after the initial tree cutting to grind the stump. Another FANTASTIC job. Stump was completely ground down, along with the protruding roots on that were on the top of the yard. Left behind only mulch from the stump, very clean job. Highly recommended.

These guys were terrific- they were able to come to my new home quickly to remove the tree, and worked hard to safely take down all the branches and dispose all of the waste. They were friendly, courteous, and quick. I'd absolutely look to use them again.

Mark and his crew spent three days clearing out the back woods and side yard of dead and fallen trees. They chipped everything and created a very nice path down to the creek behind our house. Timely in responsiveness and finished the job in exactly the amount of time allotted. Very pleasant to deal with and worked harder than I've seen folks work in a long time. Among the best contractor experiences I've had.

I wasn`t exactly sure what i had growing...it was a tree of sorts but it was growing in an unruly kind of fashion. Mark was able to determine that the tree that had once grown there had been chopped down and four volunteer trees had arisen in it`s place. He salvaged the tree with the sturdiest trunk and cut away the rest. He anchored the trunk with ties and advised me to leave them in place a couple of years.He widened a hole in my deck to allow ample growth for the trunk, trimmed leaves and branches and generally made the tree look like the tree it was supposed to be. He cleaned away all the debris including some of my own making. I don`t think it took him much more than an hour. The tree makeover was great and I couldn`t be happier with the results.

Very nice person to do business with. Mark was friendly, professional and reliable -- everything you would hope for from a service provider. Mark did most of the work himself but had helpers who were equally professional and friendly.

Mark was very responsive and helpful from the beginning. He provided an estimate over the phone because he already knew the neighborhood. His estimate was the final charge. He arrived on time, worked efficiently and took all tree debris with him, leaving both the tree and front yard in mint condition. He followed all of my instructions perfectly. I would use Mark again without hesitation and would highly recommend him to others.

I contacted Mark twice (about a week apart) and both times he promised to come look at the tree in my back yard and give me a price to remove it. Not only did he not come, he never called to say that he did not make it. After not hearing from him I called him back, at which point he apologized and rescheduled, but he didn't make it the 2nd time either and again he never called. I called him a third time and he just said that he'd been too busy.

I contacted Mark to inquire about getting an estimate for pruning my trees away from the house. He came out personally, reviewed the situation, offered great advice, and took the time to get to know me and answer all of my questions. A week or so later, he and his team came out and did a fantastic job pruning the trees. They were done quickly, and they did an awesome job cleaning up all of the debris. The job was done exactly as we discussed, and it looks fantastic! I'll be using them again in a few years when one of my trees will need to be removed. Mark is an awesome and trustworthy person & he and his team do a fantastic job! Thanks, Mark!

I contacted CleanCut Tree Service on Tuesday morning, 4/23/13, and Mr. Hawthorne came that afternoon to give me an estimate of the cost for removing a tree, the stump and roots. Within a very short time after his arrival, he provided me with information and a satisfactory price. He removed the tree that I wanted taken down immediately and removed the limbs and trunk the very same day. He told me he would come back Wednesday and grind the stumps and begin removing the roots since he did not have the necessary equipment with him. He and Matthew arrived around 8:00 AM the next day and began work. They completed most of the work, but said he would have to have Matthew come back on Thursday to remove the remaining roots since he had another appointment and did not have time to complete it that day. The next day, Matthew showed up in his car and removed the rest of the roots. He said he would have to come back on Friday with the truck to take the roots away. He showed up on time and completed the work. Everything was done very professionally and exactly as indicated it would be done. CleanCut Tree Service's price was more than satisfactory and we were extremely satisfied with the service and staff. They left the yard clean and removed the roots and the stump grindings and then took everything away to recycle. Mr. Hawthorne told us what we needed to do re the holes left by the stump removal and said he could help us with that also. My husband and I were very impressed with the service and the staff who were very professional, polite and very knowledgable. We have referred CleanCut Tree Services to several neighbors and I think they will call them to help them with tree removal. I would continue to highly recommend them and will definitely call them for additional services when needed.
