CARDINAL CHEM-DRY

Expect to pay much more than the advertised $120 for 400 square feet. Carpets dried fast and looked clean, but I wasn’t expecting the very heavy perfume scent.

We needed a cleaning of our basement carpet because of bad pet staining. We were initially looking to just do a cleaning to push off needing to replace the carpet. After talking to the Cardinal representatives, who talked about the fact that the pet stains also go down to the concrete, and we ought to have them come in and clean the concrete in the middle of a carpet replacement. The costs of this added up, but were going to be significantly less than replacing the carpet. So we had Cardinal come in to do a 2 step process to clean the carpets. The first was to do their process to remove the ammonia stains from the carpet/padding and concrete. When this was being done, the stains were disappearing like magic! Over the next week (like we were told), some the more stronger stains came back a bit. We then had a 'regular' cleaning and the carpet looks new.

When I called, I told the person on the phone that I wanted a basement rec- room, 24 stairs, a landing and 1 average-sized bedroom carpets cleaned. I was quoted approximately $150, so I scheduled the cleaning for the following day. The two gentlemen showed up on time, at the early end of the time window I had been given. After a grueling and long up-sales pitch, I settled on having my stairs and landing cleaned for the price of $185 (tax included). I was told the basement was larger than 400 square feet (it isn't, i measured it), and that it needed a $250 treatment and to be cleaned at a later date (that didn't include the cleaning!!) The stairs look much better after the 15- 20 minutes of work performed, but I certainly feel like I got duped. As I rarely get time off work, I didn't want to hassle with scheduling another cleaner in my home just to go through the sales process again, lesson learned.

They said i would need 6 bottles of cleaner, costing approximately $90 each. They would not simply clean my carpet per the BD i purchased. They would only do it if they were going to up sale me on all the spot cleaners. I would like a refund.

It was good experience. They were a lot cheaper than other Chem Dry. The other Chem Dry charge me every little thing with every little process. I would definitely use them again.

I have had good experiences using Cardinal Chem Dry.  I have used them multiple times.
I have had other firms come to my house and tell me that they couldn't clean the carpet for the price quoted the minute they saw I had a dog.  With Cardinal Chem Dry, I spoke to them upfron and told them that I wanted the price quoted and was not going to negotiate when they got to the door and they were upfront that all the stains would not come out.  Fair.
The carpet looked like new when they were done and lasta a while.   

When Miguel and Orlando arrived, they proceeded to tell me how my carpet couldn't be easily cleaned and I needed extra work done.  I had had the carpet cleaned a few months prior.  I have a problem dog and she pees the carpet.  They told me that they wouldn't guarantee the work unless I added $270 more to the coupon I bought earlier.  This was counter to the earlier cleaner.  I was over a barrell, I had company coming in two days, so I had to go along.
.In short, they are sheisters and rip-off artists.  If I hadn't been in a bind I would have kicked them out of my house.

We have used Cardinal Chem-Dry a number of times and have generally been pleased.  We had six rooms plus a short set of stairs
that needed to be cleaned before our open house.  We found a voucher online through a daily deal site that gave us a discount from the regular price. The team arrived on time and were friendly and professional.  They did charge a bit more for the steps.  I
use Chem-Dry because the carpet dries much more quickly than steam cleaning. 
If you need your carpet cleaned in the near future look out for Val-Pak coupons and internet deals you can purchase in advance. They should save you quite a bit of money.

I had surgery on my foot on 04/15/2011 so I had them come a week later to take care of the tile and grout. I was told theywould be here at 8am. This erquired me to get up very early as it took al ong time to get ready not being able to bear weight on one foot

The work crew was an  hour late. I called and the owner was a bit snippy and advised me there was a window of time for arrival. I advised him this was not informed to me.

It went downhill form there. The crew came and spent porbably about an hour. I was upstairs at the time resting. Prior to their arrival my enite kitchen was empied of furniture and everything else that would be on the floor. I was advised that I could not walk on the floor for four hours. I slid down the stairs at 1 pm and went out the front door to the doctors to return at 6pm. That evening I saw a white spray over ALL the cherry cabinets below the counter. I thought it may be just residue and I had a cleaning team coming on Friday to clean for me. They couldn't get the white off. I called the owner. A worker was sent out one week later to look at the cabinets. Two weeks later I called repeatedly to talk to the owner and was advised to get an estimate to repair all my cabinets that were damage but the entire time he argued with me that they did not do that to the cabinets. A cabinet builder came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate of about $1000 to repair the acid etching spray in the cabinets.  During the next 5 months the owner never would get back to me and calls were made repeatdly to get the cabinets repaired. He tried to bargain with me and pay me $200 as he insisted that they did not do that to my cabinets. Finally I called corporate Chem-Dry. All I wanted was the cabinets to be restored to how they were before his crew came into my home. After corporate intervened the cabinets were firnally repaired on September 20th 2011.

Needed carpet, sofa and love seat cleaned. Prior to them coming I moved quite a bit of furniture as to expand cleaning surface of carpet. For example, I moved the coffee and end tables, and removed all small items off the carpet. This greatly gave way to more carpet being cleaned. When I mentioned their ad for cleaning the carpet on the staircase, it was honored without me having to put up a fight. Initially, before the cleaning began I did receive the typical "Value Packages" sales pitch which would have been costlier, however, I stuck w/ the Basic Package and was very satisfied. I will certainly invite them again and hope to have Raul & Denis. They were professional and terrific.

Would only use them if I had to do something based on price.  Absolute cleanned my new home and would rather pay them the extra dollars to do a more thorough job.  Good for a rental that needs to be cleaned if your turning in a lease.

Horrible experience, I feel as a customer I was taken advantage of. I called the main office, and gave them the opportunity to make things right, of course I was told I was out of luck, have a nice day....

I must first mention that I paid less for this service because I got it as part of a discounted promotion. I called, made an appointment for a carpet cleaning and was given a window of time. The person I spoke to on the phone was helpful, courteous and professional. I was called about 30-40 minutes before the cleaners came, which was helpful in making sure I was ready for their arrive. They arrive ontime, and took the time to review with me exactly what they were going to do. Now I must be clear, the following is the reason why my rating is so low. I purchased what I thought was a promotion for a carpet cleaning and it turns out I had to purchase additional "stain removing" treatments as part of the carpet cleaning. I wasn't prepared to pay the extra $75 each for the two treatments, especially when I had already paid $69 for the promotion and was told I needed to pay an additional $58 for my bedroom. I told them I just wanted a standard cleaning since I get my carpets cleaned about every 6-8 months because it's light colored. Well, the only good thing about the cleaning was that it was done quickly and the carpet did not take long to dry afterwards. The workers were courteous, not disruptive and focused on the task, reviewing everything they had done with my afterwards. Their customer service was great, but my issue is, I paid to get my carpet cleaned and there was no difference after they left and I essentially wasted my money on their service. Perhaps if I had paid extra for their treatments I might have seen more of a difference, but I have paid the same for Sears to come and clean my carpet with far, far better and noticeable results... after this experience I think Sears remains a safe bet.

Scheduled for them to come while I was out of town. They never told me the actual price, but I was quoted $99. They called me while I was on vacation (which I asked them not to) and tried to upsale me. I agreed to have a $100 pet treatment done. My total bill was $488! I am calling tomorrow to find out where the extra $288 came from. Very dishonest business.

Had a two hour window and they showed up within 40 minutes of the first hour. The crew was very polite and worked nonstop from the time they arrived until they left. Cleanup could have been a little better from the trimming on the carpet when it was stretched.

Great. The guys arrived on time. I was told between 8 and 10 a.m. and they were there at 8:30 a.m. It took them a total of one hour. The job was fine, although I can't say they were super, super meticulous. If it were my house (and not a rental), I would have asked them to go over some spots again. But they did get most of the stains out (not where it was "normal wear and tear") and the price was right, so I can't complain. The workers were very polite and professional and didn't waste time. In fact I was shocked at how quickly they worked. I would recommend them for a similar situation, but if I was having them work on my own house, I probably would have demanded more.

Went well, professional crew that was meticulous. It was still a little damp, 24 hours later, all clean though.

Carpets were returned in damaged condition (rippled and creased). I contacted the owner, Omar, who [rudely and defensively] offered a refund. I asked that the carpets be re-cleaned to remove the ripples and creases. The carpets were returned to me in the same condition with the ripples and creases. I called the owner, who was rude again rude. He said the were fine and that he couldn't do anything else. He refused to come to my home to observe my concerns.

The two workers were pleasant and courteous and cleaned the carpets quickly completing the work in less than an hour. There were several spots that required extra attention, and those were taken care of. Additionally, the lead worker gave me a can of spot remover that was 1/2 empty for any spots that I might find later that had been missed.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I THINK THAT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS PROFESSIONAL. MY CARPETS LOOKS JUST WONDERFUL.
