Michael Boyce the Project manager came out and measured the driveway and gave us an estimate. We signed the paperwork on September 16th and the new driveway was installed on September 24th. They excavated to the depth of 3 inches removing the old curved driveway, exposing the sub-grade and compacted to a uniform depth. Then installed the 3 inch new asphalt. It was nice that they beveled the edges towards the lawn so we will be able to have a clean edge on the lawn. Our old driveway was 27 years old and now it looks better than when we first moved in.

I had a 445 square foot concrete driveway installed. Tony, the project foreman, and his 6-member team were absolutely terrific. They arrived right on time -- a little before 7 a.m. We reviewed the plan, discussed the materials to be used which were top of the line (4,000 psi concrete with fiber mesh, as well as 6and quot; x 6and quot; steel wire, #4 rebar along the two sides, 5and quot; concrete depth with another 4and quot; of compacted gravel and control joints set no more than 8' x 8'). It is the perfect driveway and while it is in Washington, DC, it could handle any Chicago winter weather wise. The price was in the middle range of estimates but their quality is unsurpassable. The workers were impressive and customer focused. Tony consulted me at critical points in the day-long pour asking me to approve the forms and layout of the driveway before pouring it and after the job cleanup.
