Description of Work: My Pfaff was not able to be used because sewing on sticky velcro gummed up the works in the bobbin area.

+ -1 moreI reached out to Berger's via phone for assistance. He told me he could look at it right away if I brought it over. I took it as soon as I got off the phone. He was able to determine that the lever was not broken but needed to be adjusted. Less than five minutes, he had it working again. Mr. Berger was friendly, professional, and identified the problem very quickly. Additionally, he did not charge me for fixing it. What a blessing to find folks who are willing to help out!
Description of Work: While working on a school project, my take up lever stopped working on my Singer sewing machine.

+ -1 moreI was told it would take about a week and I was called back 4 days later to pick up both machines! When I picked up my machines, I asked if he would mind teaching me how to thread my serger. ( I have never been able to do it bynmyself.). Not only did he take the time to show me how to thread the machine, he explained why it has to be threaded that way. He sent me home with a sample of what the stitch should look like. This is a family owed business that has been in Manassas for over 50 years. It is a wonderful family owned and operated business that takes the time to take care of your needs. I would highly recommend this business without reservation. I will certainly continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: Serviced my Huskylock serger I.e. Sharpened lower blade, checked timing and feeding, check and balanced stitch reset Also serviced checked and cleaned my Bernina sewing machine The charge for each machine was approximately $ 90.00 each

+ -1 moreWhen I dropped off the machine, the man was very rude. I was going on vacation and the man told me he didn't like anything there for more than 30 days, I said fine. He did complete it on time. I went to pick it up and he had closed his shop early, with a sign on the door.
Description of Work: I took my sewing machine in for routine maintenance, and for a baby lock surger.

+ -1 moreI've been only there once and I ended up not repairing my machine and no pressure from him, I really can't blame the man. I didn't get my machine fixed, I ended buying a new one. The store was very nice, the man was very nice. And the price is within range of that machine.

Description of Work: Serviced my Viking sewing machine. The stitch width dial would not turn and the housing for the stitching cam was cracked. It works beautifully now. This is the second machine he had worked on for me. The other was a clean and oil for $68.

Description of Work: Brought my Kenmore sewing maching in for broken spool holders and was told there aren't any replacement parts. He then told me he could fix it by permanently installing spool holders but the holders would not go up and down. I was so happy as I did not have the $$ to buy a new machine and I do a lot of sewing prior to Christmas plus he reset the tension. Then in November had a tension problem so brought it back in and he explained to me the different typess of needles for different materials. and that is all it needed. YES, I will definitely use Berger's sewing again and have told my daughters and will when I meet other sewers.
