Description of Work: Steven Moore, the technician, was great. Arrived on time and performed the work. I purchased an Amazon deal for 4 recessed lights. Be aware that if you don't already have electrical in the ceiling, there is a up charge. Also they have to cut small holes in the ceiling that need patching to run the wiring which the electrician doesn't repair. I was fortunate enough to have a handyman working on another job in the house that day so no problem there. I would use them again but would ask more questions upfront to understand what all is involved.

Description of Work: It turned out the "deal" was for a low power switch that would not accomplish everything. The estimate for one that could cover my needs would have cost $4,000 more. Even then, the company's final offer was just hundreds more than I would pay. Bob at Beacon was really nice to deal with and assured me I'd get the refund.

Description of Work: I give them an A because they have done a great job so far in planning this job. But I can't give a full and final evaluation because the job isn't complete. I purchased a deal for the 7 KW generator, but then determined that I need a 17 KW generator. But I haven't started the job yet because I am short of the extra funds and could lose my job over Congressional nonsense which permeates every aspect of life

Description of Work: Technicians showed up as scheduled and called about 15 minutes before arrival. They performed all services requested in a prompt and professional manner. They answered all of my many questions and gave me a completed home inspection report with recommended work. The only additional cost for this visit was $25.00 for parts which was expected and warranted. I was informed of the price for the parts before they were installed, so there were no surprises. I will definitely use Beacon Electrical services to complete the recommended additional work.

Description of Work: The gentlemen who came in was prompt and acted in a professional manner. He was able to get the work that was needed done and asked the appropriate quetions regarding the regarding the location of the electrical box. He was thorough with having the proper equipment and the cleanliness was exceptional after all work was done. It was a pleasure to have the Beacon employee in my home and would recommend this company highly to others and will certainly used them in the future should I need to.

Description of Work: We used a Angie's List deal for installation of 4 recessed lights. Beacon came out and did a good job. We did have to hire a handyman afterward to repair the drywall - Beacon informed us of this in advance. In the end, the cost would have been the same if we had hired a full service company to do all of the work. I'd say the deal was not that great.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a Whole House generator from Beacon Electric. All the interactions with the company were great and I will use them in the future. They were very knowledgeable and thorough. Ultimately I did not use them for this project as we deciced against it due to the extra cost to run gas and electric due to zoning and HOA restrictions.

Description of Work: Upgrade 1935 era electrical system, including three breaker panels (Main and two sub), new ground, new service drop and weather head; plus upgrading several outlets to GFI standard, run circuit and install three new room outlets and replace two other outlets, replace wiring and install new outdoor fixture and flood light. Service technician was extremely courteous, prompt, efficient and accommodating to our additional requests beyond the original Angie's List Breaker Panel deal.

Description of Work: I had contacted Beacon Electrical to perform an inspection. They were very responsive. I did not end up having the inspection performed as I was able to identify the specific issue that I wanted them to look at. I will probably contact them again in the future as I'm looking to have a transfer switch installed in order to use a portable generator in case of an outage.

Description of Work: Scheduling was good. I had to re schedule and they were very helpful doing that. The young man who performed the work was late, but called en route. He seemed somewhat inexperienced, but the work was done. My contractor had set up the situation for him and was here when the work was done. My contractor helped him throughout. The young man was very nice and very polite. He left expensive wiring behind. My contractor urged me to call the young man because he didnt want the young man to get in trouble. I did that, but he never came back to pick it up. So my review is mixed. The work was done, but there were issues. The recesses for the lights were left with some flaky areas which should have been patched better. He was late, materials were left behind and the finishing details were not perfect.
