Description of Work: Put in recess lighting. I was charged more than original quote. They told me they would include some things and gave me the impression it would be free, but I was charged fully ( another $600) for items that I did not need once it was time to pay. Irritated, but I paid for the extra stuff because I didn't clarify at the time if it was in fact going to be "thrown in" for free as I was told verbally. I learned a lesson with sales people. I won't make this assumption mistake again. Nothing is EVER "thrown in". They'll tell you that to get the sale and then look at you funny when you're surprised you were charged for the item(s). | |The work seemed to be done properly.

Description of Work: Replaced my 1969 electrical panel with new, upgraded one that complies with current codes for Fairfax County, VA. This included the addition of a main shutoff valve, which older panels don't have. I used Beacon before for extensive electrical work in a rental property and would have no hesitation using them again. The new panel passed the county's electrical inspector with no problems.
