Excellent experience from the initial reservation until the job was performed.

I found this company through Angie's List and because of their great reviews, decided to give them a try. When I called to schedule an appointment, the representative who answered the phone was very professional and was able to schedule a technician to come to my house the following day. The technician who was scheduled to come to do the work got delayed on a job and it is was looking like we were going to have to reschedule the appointment. Another technician named Milton offered to come to my house to look at the project even though it was late in the afternoon on a Friday. Milton was extremely courteous and knowledgable and knew it would take a couple of hours to complete the work. He offered to come the next day to complete the job even though he doesn't usually work on Saturdays. He showed up earlier than planned on Saturday (after calling first to make sure it would be okay) and did all the work in a timely manner. Milton's work was excellent and he was an absolute delight to work with. He takes pride in his work and goes out of his way to make sure the client is satisfied. I am so glad we found Milton and will definitely make sure to request him the next time we need electrical work done. He is a gem!

After experiencing a lightning strike, we had several issues. Nelson from Beacon Electrical came out and was able to quickly find the issues and suggest the repairs. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. All repairs where done to our expectation and satisfaction.

Milton Iraheta was very professional, patient, smart and detail oriented. I was very concerned of the issues at home and he guided me on what to do. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything. I was very impressed of your company about how good was your customer service since the time I called. Once the technician arrived I was even more impressed of the quality of the work. I also was given 10 years warranty so that was amazing. You have a very good employee in your company. We could not be happier about the outcome and process. It was a 5 star job. We have an early 1980s build home. Our outlets and switches were an awkward combination of beige switches and painted over plates. Recent remodeling in sections of the house that used white switches made the old switches even more awkward. Beacon replaced all of the switches and plugs with white "Decora" style plugs and rocker switches. The uniformity outlets as well as the upgraded styling really contributes to a much more updated look. Although we love the look of the new outlets, we hired Beacon for the quality of their approach and workmanship. I spoke with 5 different electricians and got 3 bids. There was a huge variety in pricing and proposed approach. Some proposed to price per outlet and others provided a whole house firm fixed price. When providing a whole house approach, some other firms presented short cuts that would have reduced costs, but also compromised the overall integrity of the job (eliminating dimmer switches). When we found another firm that provided a comparable approach, we found Beacon to be very cost competitive. We selected Beacon to do the job because of the quality of their work. We got good value. Milton and Danny were a pleasure to have in our home. They walked through and checked every outlet and switch before they left.

William of Beacon Electrical was top-notch in this one-day project at my house. He and his colleague demonstrated professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge throughout the entire project. William's attention to detail resulted in pinpointing the source of repeated circuit and sump pump outages over the past several years--something other electricians had failed to find and isolate. Along the way, William identified problems with old circuits (house built in 1962) that would need to be addressed sooner rather than later to ensure the safety and integrity of the house. This was the first time I've used Beacon, but I don't plan on using any other company after the great experience I had with Beacon.

Zach was my electrician. He came to check and replace a gcfi outlet and performed a free full house inspection. We decided to address many of the issues that were identified (3 gcfi outlet and multiple light switch/outlet replacements along with a new electrical outlet box. We were fortunate that when he had complete the initial work and was turning back on the breakers he noticed there was a flicker in the lights and a breaker tripped. He did a thorough investigation and discovered that one of our main breakers was going out. We was able to replace that before leaving. I loved that through each phase, he presented multiple options of service and there was absolutely no pressure in the decision making process. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot), as well as, helped me to educate on the different brands and gave me things to considered when researching our future projects. Some may consider the price on the higher end but I prefer paying a slightly higher price for better quality and work that has a lifetime guarantee.

Beacon electronic did a great job with our replacement of halogen spot lights with LED. Beacon was quick to respond for a price quote and followed up the next day for installation. My wife and I are very pleased and will not hesitate to use Beacon for our next electrical project. Very professional and friendly service by Milton.

These folks were great! Very responsive. Totally professional. I couldn't be happier with our technician and the work. It was pricier than I expected but I still consider it worth the expense.

The work itself was perfectly fine. However, after I had scheduled the day off to be there for the appointment, the scheduler informed me rather casually that she wasn't sure they could make it. Seemed they were on a big job. I said well then I'm going to find another company. Amazingly, I then received a call and someone was coming; a master electrician in fact. He brought along someone in training - also a very fine fellow and seemingly competent. The master electrician almost immediately upon looking at the electrical panel talked about needing to have the house grounded and when I said that was done years ago, he said well you should have all the panel checked at least every 5-years. Cost? Well about $500. Now when they got to the 'requested' work, it simply involved drilling a hole in the wall in one room and pulling the wire through to the other room to the intercom main panel. Took very little time. Cost was excessive and I didn't appreciate the coordinator telling me on the same day that perhaps someone would not be able to come, dd=id not like the sales pitch for work I did not ask for, and the price was way high. I thought their charges were excessive last time I used them (recently) and this is twice in a row. I wouldn't use them again.

I called to schedule the appointment. They asked a few questions about what was happening and offered a few times that were available. The electrician arrived on time (early actually!) and I explained what was happening. He took a few minutes (30-45) to explore what was happening. It seems that we had a 'builders grade' GFCI that was intermittently operational -yet never tripped. When it was removed, there was some melting of the contacts - I'm convinced an electrical fire was prevented by this service! We had a few overloaded circuits - that was isolated. We had one circuit in the kitchen that was on one breaker. The circuit was split and 3 separate circuits were in place when he was done. It did take the better part of 2 days. This also required placing 2 extra circuit breakers in the electrical panel. This was also done with minimal drywall damage. We also replaced all the outlets and GFCI's in the kitchen.

Replaced quickly and very professionally. Cost seemed high, however.

We provided the switches and outlet covers. Mr. Friday performed all the work perfectly. We also were able to use a $35 coupon from Angie's List. Knowledgeable, professional, and I especially appreciated that they were able to coordinate the appointment to precede the delivery of new equipment next day. We have used this company before and are always very pleased with the work.

Went very Well, Mr. Fry was punctual and efficient. I will definitely use Beacon again.

Work was done on 12/21/18 by Jimmy Page. We give him a rating of Excellent! and Outstanding! We are very pleased with the work that Jimmy Page did. He explained what he was doing, answered all our questions, and offered multiple options that we could choose from. He was pleasant and easy to work with. We were especially impressed when he vacuumed the area after all the work was done. He left the area clean and tidy. We will definitely hire Beacon Electric again.

Excellent scheduling and communication. Zach was well trained and did great job in explaining the work. He was thorough and efficient and gave a good presentation of options and Beacon’s pricing. The only reason I refrained from giving 5 stars is Beacon’s price: $605 for replacing outdoor receptacle, inspecting double tap on circuit breaker and tightening ceiling light fixture, less than 2 hour labor. I accepted this price because time was of the essence to sell the townhouse. For future work on my residence, I will be using another company to compare pricing.

Craig, was very professional. He gave me information about things I didn't need doing now but might need in the future. He was very polite and did a great job.

I was having a pottery studio built on my property, which would house not only a pottery wheel and associated fans and other electrical apparatus, but also a 240v 48-amp electric kiln with a specialized plug. There was no existing electrical service to the shed. I had called a couple of contractors, and they would not even come out and look at the property, instead giving me wildly inaccurate phone “estimates”. When I called Beacon, they immediately set up an on-site estimate for the following day. Jimmy arrived punctually and spent about an hour evaluating the job. Since the house electrical came in from the opposite side of the house from the shed, and since there was a driveway and other impediments in the way, he explained they would have to run the wires up the side of the house (3 stories), through the attic, out the other side (also 3 stories), through a trench they would dig, and into the shed. It would require renting a ditch witch as well as a bucket, since the terrain around the house did not support a ladder. Jimmy and Will arrived on the day of work, and it was beastly hot. They worked for three days in brutal conditions in the heat (130 degrees in the attic) and completed the work. They installed the conduits and wires, allowing for the distance involved, and brought the hookups through a breaker box in the shed. He provided one separate 50-amp circuit for the kiln, and two 20-amp circuits for the rest of the shed. He pre-wired all the outlets and hookups for ceiling lights and fan, as well as one outside outlet. The entire job took a few follow-up visits, but Jimmy was always helpful and prompt. After the shed interior was finished, he came back and actually installed the lights, fan, and outlet plates. It was a huge job, but Beacon accomplished it extremely well and in timely fashion.

Good. Turned out we just needed to replace the light switch. He also inspected the rest of the house for other needed work. Gave estimate on those other parts.

I recently purchased an older home that many of the outlets only contain two prongs (missing the ground prong) and most of my electronics require the third prong to even plug into the wall. I scheduled the appointment yesterday (9/18/18) and was able to schedule a window that would allow me to have someone onsite the next day and was not disruptive to my schedule. The work was completed quickly, affordably, and correctly. Additionally to this, the technician conducted a home inspection to determine if there were any issues that needed to be addressed. He discovered a loose outlet that could have been unsafe as well as a switch that was about to fail. I really appreciated that! Lastly one of the things that I like about the company was told to me by the technician, that they like to send out the same technician when you have multiple jobs done over time so that you know who is coming and you get someone that you are comfortable with doing the work.

I have an outlet that's exhibiting an odd behavior, so I took advantage of an offer for diagnostic work. The scheduling process went fine: the company called me promptly and scheduled an interview; I later found that I had to reschedule, and they accommodated the request. The electrician showed up exactly on time. The electrician checked the breaker box, the outlet, and a few other outlets, and provided some helpful diagnostic information that answered my question. So far, so good. I expected to be offered some choices for repairing it. I've had two other electrical companies perform work on my house before (which generally went fine), so I know how pricing goes. The prices that were offered for these services were way off the scale - at least x2 what I'd have expected. I politely declined all of them and said I'd like to settle for the diagnostic work. At that point, the electrician's demeanor changed to one of deep irritation. He put the outlet back together quickly and left in a huff - neglecting even to turn the breaker back on. (My wife, who was home at the time, observed all of this. I checked with her later to verify that it wasn't just my imagination - and yes, she had noticed the sudden temperature drop as well.) I had added a 20% tip to the total to acknowledge the quality of the diagnostic work. I don't think that he even noticed. I certainly wouldn't hire this company again for anything. Based on this interaction, I think they have a business model based on upselling and overcharging.

appt was for Wed, way behind in schedule, rescheduled for Friday, then rescheduled for Saturday, again late for appt from 8 to 12, showed up at 115. Did a little presentation, I had the ceiling laid out and ready to go, he came back with ridiculous estimate and I sent him on his way after paying $59 scheduling fee. never again

One time, on budget, professional, and courteous. Passed county inspection on first try.

The technicians were both professional. They tried to upsell on a home surge protector unit which I understand, but were misinformed on how long it lasts and oversold its benefits. They came to diagnose an outlet that sparked and blew off its outlet cover. They charged 380 dollars for it, which is too much. They also replaced a dryer outlet for 380 dollars. I was running on very little sleep and didn't think too much of the charges until after the fact. I would warn everyone to not use this company.

Canceled and rescheduled. I got a cost estimate after they arrived at the house. The cost estimate of $543 seems high for a fairly straightforward task - replacement of three exterior lights w/new ones provided by me - I agreed to it because I just wanted to get the work done. The attempt to sell me on a surge protector for my circuit breaker box (for an additional $375) didn't impress me. The work was done quickly after I approved the cost estimate. The quality of the work seems good, but it's only been two days. The electricians who came to the house were very polite, but afterword I felt like I'd been overcharged with an attempt at "upselling me" on the circuit breaker surge protector.
