Atlantic Duct Cleaning

When I called Atlantic Duct Cleaning, they were extremely helpful, were able to be flexible around my schedule and quoted us the exact price that we were charged.I was told the technicians would show up between 11:00 and 12:00, and at 11:01 the doorbell rang. When I spoke with Atlantic Duct Cleaning, they estimated that it would take about 2 hours, and i think it ended up taking 2 hours and 5 minutes. The technicians that came in were very courteous, clean, respectful, and efficient. They obviously knew what they were doing, but were happy to answer any and all of my questions. They did a great job of opening up painted over vents, and cleaned up everything before they left. Overall I could not be happier with the price, service, and knowledge of these technicinas. It has been a few days now, and both my husband and i can feel the difference in the air quality. Thank you Atlantic Duct Cleaning!

I would definitely recommend Atlantic Duct. They were very flexible in scheduling and planning. When they arrived, they were professional, were careful to be clean in their work and explained what they did. They spent a whole day at the house and worked through all of the various systems, cleaned after themselves properly.

Techs Tony and Randy arrived well within the allotted appointment time. They were very courteous and thorough in explaining what they were going to do. As I have light carpets, I was especially pleased that plastic shoe covers were used throughout the house. Great job.!

Tony and Randy came out today to clean the duct work in our newly purchased home. We hired someone to clean our carpets last week and he recommended we have Atlantic come out to clean all the duct work so dust and pet hair left behind by the previous owners didn't keep recirculating in the home. So glad we called them, they were on time, very polite, and took great care to not mark up our freshly painted walls! After they were done, they explained to me what they did and gave good tips on maintaining our system. I will be recommending them to everyone.

The 3 fellas were extremely professional & meticulous in their work. They ensured carpets were covered prior to bringing in equipment. In addition, they covered their shows. They cleaned up & did a great job! I would highly recommend this company & particularly the 3 fellas who did the work at my home!

They had a special, which was $50 off the cost. I decided to go with somebody that did nothing, but just the duct cleaning. It cost me $315 and that included the $50. They weren’t the cheapest, but I went with them because I talked to the owner on the phone and actually like how he sounded and decided to go with him. There were two of them and they just got there about half an hour early and it took about 2 hours. They also clean dryer vents, but I did not need them to do that because I had my dryer replaced a month before and the vents had been changed, so I knew that did not need cleaning. They cleaned all the ducts and I have been in this house for 3 years, but the people that lived in the house prior to me and they had a huge dog, so they got out a lot of dog fur and all sorts of stuff. They cleaned up pretty well after themselves and bring in a big huge vacuum cleaner that is about as tall as a van. They took that down to the basement and then cut two holes in the duct work, one in the return duct work and one in the regular duct work, so they can fit everything in there. They then used compressed air and then go around and go through all the return and heating vents. I was with them and they were pretty careful when it came to hoses against the wall. They clean up pretty well and they were friendly and they seemed to be efficient. I would use them again, but thankfully when I asked them how often I needed to have this done and they said every 5 to 8 years. I noticed a decrease in the dust and I don’t have that itchy feeling in my throat. I think it was in the bathroom and they took the ceiling vent down and cleaned it. They got some stuff out of there and put it in the waste basket in the bathroom and I saw that and it was like a huge fur balls and all sorts of things. They brought one of those big round industrial things and after cleaned the ducts they went around and vacuumed anything that might have fallen out or anything like that. It is loud because they are banging around and because of that duct work and stuff, but two hours is really not that big a deal. I live in a town home, so it is really not that big of a house. I did not have to cleanup and there was only one spot where they did not vacuum up very carefully and all I had to do is run the vacuum cleaner over it. I did not notice anything out of the ordinary and I was pretty happy with it because everybody knew what to expect. They weren’t the cheapest, but they weren’t the most expensive. They came early.

I am a recent, first time home owner and I have nothing to compare this experience to. The service was carried out effectively and on time. However, nothing about the procedure had been explained to me upfront and, although the staff were professional, they could have been more friendly. Also, the staff warped one of the ducts in an unused room without telling me so I did not notice this until after they left. $440 was the final price for this service after a $50 coupon through Angie's list. This seems to be an average cost for this type of service but I have seen other companies offer less (and I am not referring to the rock bottom sketchy offers).I felt my experience with this company was average-good but I will give another company a try next time just to see if I can find someone better.

I must apologize for the lateness of this report. The lateness has nothing to do w/the excellent service provided to me by Atlantic Duct; lateness is due to my procrastinating. With regard to my experience w/Atlantic Duct Work, everything went very well. Darrel & Nelson got to my house on time, and were very patient w/me regarding my questions. They explained how they were going to complete this task; how their vaccuum system works; the differences between the different hoses they used. Any question I asked, they provided a helpful answer. I even had a chance to see the crap that the vacuum "collected" -- if memory serves me correctly, they have 6-7 filters that are pink in the bottom section in their big vacuum machine. After they were finished, didn't see any pink. They said they have seen worse :-) Am glad I had this done, and would be glad to use this organization again.

Atlantic Duct Cleaning showed up on time, were very respectful and polite, protected my home with floor covers and wore shoe covers. The overall experience was great and I would recommend them to everyone.

..from scheduling the appointment (professionalism, time frame, special request, telling ME about the Angie's List discount) to writing my check for the EXACT AMOUNT of the quote, this company is top notch! Andy and Carlos explained each step of the process, had protective gear for their shoes and my floor, called to let me know they were on their way (special request), were polite, neat, professional and clearly take pride in their work. Andy offered to change my filter "while I'm here" (a thoughtful technician??) The equipment was well kept, neatly packed (not spread all over the room) and CLEAN; my past experience with a service like this the hoses were falling apart to the point the debris was escaping even with duct tape and DIRTY. I didn't want the "cleaning equipment" in my home! With no complaints and no expectations, Andy gave me a "finish time" half way through the service AND asked if that was ok with my schedule. (ARE YOU KIDDING?? I wish they painted and cleaned windows!!) Then while on schedule to finish right on time, these two gentlemen cleaned my registers and returns (to my liking) IN THE SNOW! I couldn't be more thrilled to have found a company who takes this dusty and distasteful task seriously. This is my first review for a company on Angie's List and it may seem silly or over the top to "glorify" a duct cleaning service, but they earned it and will retain me as a loyal customer who told 2 people about them tonight!

This was the best value I found for my 3 story Ashburn town house. Andy was very professional and even try to help me with changing my duct controls to help distribute my heat my evenly throughout the house. They were on time, wore shoe covers and laid down drop cloths through the house. Andy was very willing to show me everything that they were able to clean up and explain the entire process which put me at ease. The $50 Angie's List coupon already paid for my annual membership.

Excellent. From setting up their systems and computer, to cleaning the ductwork, to pressurizing the system to determined the level of air leakage, to spraying the adhesive throughout the system and then rechecking the air leakage after the work, the workflow was constant and managed very well. The workers could not have been more professional.

Technicians showed up on time and were very prepared for the service and for keeping my house clean. I appreciated the drop-cloths and booties that they used to minimize dirt and damage. The technicians explained what they were going to do, showed me where they were going to have to cut holes, how they were going to repair things afterward, and answered all my questions. They were respectful and courteous. Prior to the cleaning, I got to see all the dust that had accumulated and then got to see how it was all cleaned out before they patched everything up. They did not damage the walls. They vacuumed up when they left. They did a special hand cleaning on a few of the vents that were particularly dirty. The patching job they did was excellent. It was clear that they took pride in their work. I would enthusiastically recommend Atlantic Duct Cleaning. At one point prior to the service when I called to confirm my appointment, I spoke with the owner. They prioritize making sure that customers have an excellent experience and take these Angie's reviews seriously. That made me feel good about using this company. I have one suggestion. Paying by credit card didn't go quite the way I would have liked. Since my service finished up a little after 5pm and the main office was closed, if I wanted to pay by credit card I would have to write the card info out on the technician's copy of the paper receipt that would be turned into the office for processing the next day. If it had been before 5pm, I could have called in my number. I wasn't very comfortable writing down my credit card info. It would have been nice to get the heads up from the office at the time of making the appointment on how to pay by credit card. That would have made this an A++ experience.

The technicians did an exemplary job! They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do, and got to work. There was minimal disruption throughout the process. The cleaning itself was extremely thorough. No mess left behind, all vents secured. All in all, a very professional and effective job. I will definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Efficient, punctual and honest. Patient with detailed questions. No pressure for service even after arrival on premises. Saved us $2600 over quote from another company...however, they did do a sloppy job, damaging the paint on some ducts and finish on the walls when removing/replacing registers/vent covers.

The initial phone call to set up an appt. for air duct cleaning was why I chose this company. The woman on the phone (Ashley or Tonya) was very helpful, took the time to talk to me and explain the process and very personable. Not the experience I had when calling another company. They showed up on time and did the work as they explained it would be done. We were happy with their services and the price.

I'd heard about them from a neighbor who used them. Plus they had received favorable reviews on the local news station's consumer reporter, Liz Crenshaw. In addition they had a very high rating on Angie's List. It was easy to set up the appointment, the workers were courteous and efficient and were very careful with wall ducts when removing and replacing vents. I'll use them again.

We were about to have our entire HVAC system replaced and our contractor recommended we call this company to clean our ducts before the new system was installed because the coil was incredibly filthy. We called Atlantic first thing on the morning of the 15th, explained the situation, and they sent a team to clean our vents the same day. They did a thorough job--they said it looked like the vents hadn't ever been cleaned by the previous owners. We really appreciated their responsiveness and will use them to keep our ducts clean in the future.
