Atlantic Duct Cleaning

They are so great and fabulous. We actually used them twice so far and once at our old house before we moved here about a year ago.

Excellent start to finish, no dirt, no dust, no odor I had two townhouses done with the same results in both places

They did a good job. I like that they were not trying to push duct cleaning, they wanted to make sure I needed it. Everything they said made a lot of sense. They were very courteous and I think they did good job. They explained everything to me. And, they just charged what they said they would. They weren't amazing but they weren't bad.

The two techs arrived on time, were very respectful to the fact that my husband was still sleeping and started with the basement furnace. They were very quiet and professional throughout the job and the air in our house is so much better now.

Atlantic Duct Cleaning was awesome. I did not contract with them directly, but my new heating and cooling service company, D&A Service Company (also awesome!) in Hyattsville, Maryland, had been using Atlantic for more than three decades and sent them to my home. D&A was able to get Atlantic out within a week of my call, and Atlantic did a fantastic job! They arrived even a bit early, which was just fine with me. I had a different company (my previous heating and cooling service company whom I had annual maintenance service with for nine consecutive years) attempt duct cleaning a week prior, but their equipment broke upon arrival, so they left and never came back or called to reschedule. Atlantic Duct Cleaning really seemed to know what they were doing, and even adjusted some of my vents for me that had been blocked off inside the duct system with wood blocks from the house's previous owners. It was my first duct cleaning, inspired after a horrid mouse invasion earlier in the year. I wanted the ducts cleaned before turning on the central AC, and Atlantic did a wonderful job. They even showed me the mounds of stuff that they sucked out of the duct system.

The individuals arrived on time. Work was completed in a timely manner. The individuals were not very social in the begining but after asking a couple of questions they livened up. They answered all of my questions in detail and explained the entire process to me. They cleaned up after they finished working and were careful not to mess-up or break anything.

This work was done exceptionally well. Everything was explained before the work was performed. I was permitted to inspect the ducts prior to/after the work was completed. All my ducts on the ceiling were caulked in place and the workers were very careful to minimize damage since my house had just been painted. Very little damage was done and was easy to correct once the work was completed. The job took about 3 hours for two workers. The time estimate was 2 1/2 hours. I think it took a bit longer since they needed to be careful removing the duct grates.

Well, although the air quality has definitely gone down for the two or so days afterwards.

Went very well, as expected from the great reviews already found here. I hired them at the recommendation of TwinTech Heating and Cooling, which I also found on Angie's LIst, but did check their reviews here before hiring them, so I was very confident of a good experience before they even showed up. When I told my neighbors about their great reviews two of them also wanted their houses done so my first experience with the company was working with Ashley in their office to line up back to back appointments on a single Saturday for us and two other homes on our block. She is very professional and accommodating and Andy and Nelson are doing my neighbor's house as I write this. They came to do the work, on time, and were very professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Also worked hard to take off vent covers that were painted on with no damage to the paint. We suspected that the vents had not been cleaned in at least 12 years and sure enough, they were able to tell by the thickness of what they found in there that it had probably been at least 15 years since they had been cleaned. Vents had suffered through refinishing of the floors with no protection, 10 years of cats and 5 children, and 2+ years of my own three border collies. Andy and Nelson clearly had their work cut out for them. I asked for before and after pictures to show my husband, who couldn't be there, and Andy obliged. They also showed me that we had the furnace filter inserted too far, and how to use that silver tape to prevent loss of air where the vent sections meet. All in all it was very well worth the cost and when they left there was no dust or disturbance to the vents/paint to even indicate that they had been there.

The two guys, Carlos and Marvin, that performed the cleaning showed up on time. They introduced themselves and were very professional. Carlos walked through the house and explained how they would perform the work. They wore shoe protection, worked diligently and completed the job in the amount of time estimated. Carlos showed me the return air duct to see how much dust had accumulated and what it looked like after the cleaning. They thoroughly cleaned up after the job. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.

We had just replaced our upstairs HVAC system and noticed large dust particles blowing out of the ceiling registers afterwards. Figured it was due to the new, stronger furnace that was installed. Atlantic sent a team out and did a complete cleaning. The team that came was on time, clean, and professional. However, even a week after they cleaned the ducts, I was still seeing the large dust particles accumulating on the floors and furniture. Called Atlantic and they sent another team out to do another inspection of the upstairs system. Learned that the first team was not a thorough as they should have been with cleaning the actual ceiling registers. The second team cleaned every single ceiling register and corresponding vent. One week later, was still finding large dust particles on the floor and furniture. Called Atlantic again, and this time, Dave, the supervisor, came out to inspect the problem. Dave was awesome -- within 30 minutes he diagnosed the problems. The main trunk line upstairs, which was original to our 20 year old townhouse, was made of fiberglass. Because the new furnace was so much more powerful, it was blowing all 20 years worth of trapped dust in the fiberglass trunk line through the branches up the upstairs vents. No amount of vent cleaning would be able to fix that. He discussed what our options were, and we opted to replace the fiberglass trunk line with metal duct work (this was completed with another contractor since Atlantic doesn't do this type of work). The rest of the duct and dryer vent cleaning was fine. Although we had some hiccups along the way, I would still have no qualms about recommending this company simply because of their outstanding customer service. The fact that Dave was so easy to work with and able to make it right within the company's capabilities speaks volumes. He even sent a team out to cover the ceiling registers with temporary filters before the other contractor came in to switch the fiberglass ducts to metal. Nelson and Santos are also fantastic!

I thought that our service was performed admirably. Quick, clean, professional; no complaints here.

We got the then-current Angie's List deal for whole house duct cleaning and sought an appointment on line. They called promptly to set the appointment. The tech's arrived within the designated time frame and went right to work, and worked steadily. They protected the floor, etc, and wore booties inside to avoid tracking in dirt. They really didn't spend any time explaining the process, but went right about working. The house had had duct cleaning for a prior owner, so perhaps they assumed I knew the process. The whole process took about 2+ hours. I think they did a good job; we had just completed a partial renovation so had a lot of dirt in the system. At one point they blew out a huge cloud of dust into the dining room, unintentionally (but didn't really offer to clean that up). Generally they cleaned up, but did not properly tighten or re-align all of the heat registers. Overall - a "B" in my mind. Decent value and thorough cleaning, but required a little followup work afterward.

The 3 men were considerate when entering my home for the most part. They donned the paper booties over their shoes, and when carrying in their equipment were careful not to bang up the walls. However, after they left I found dirt from vents/registers on the floor, in corners and under area rugs. It would have been nicer if they had vacummed after themselves. They were also polite, answering all my questions. I do not know if the price for the service is reasonable or not, as I have never had the duct cleaning done prior to this time. It seemed to be an expensive service. I also do not know if the service was really of any benefit,--as we do not suffer from allergies. I thought it might help with all the dust I have been finding in the house,--but it does not seem to be the case. I doubt that I would use this service again.

Alfonso and Carlos arrived early and were very professional and courteous. They explained everything they planned to do and took care to protect my floors when setting up the equipment. They cleaned out all the ducts and registers and even repaired a couple of places where there was a gap between the duct and the drywall, at no extra charge. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with the service and the professionalism and will definitely use this company again.

The work was performed very well and within the estimated time frame. Price was very reasonable. Technicians were punctual, professional and efficient. Before departure, they ensured that the house was clean. I highly recommend this company.

They arrived on time went to the basement with the equipment. One stayed in the basement to set up the other was cleaning out all the vents in the house. When it was all done they showed me all the dust an debris that was in the air ducts. Over all an excellent experience.

Atlantic gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled the service within a few days. Atlantic's guys showed up on time and worked quickly. They were polite and explained the process. They cleaned up when they were finished. Very good experience and I recommend them.

I decided to use Atlantic after reading the stellar reviews and they are well deserved! From my phone call to schedule the cleaning, to their right on time arrival, hard work, professionalism, and pleasantness - the entire experience was excellent. Roger and Juan Carlos provided top notch customer service and skill. Our house was built in 1954 and the air ducts had not been cleaned in the 16 years we have owned the house and not sure if the previous owners had ever cleaned the ducts either. Roger and Juan Carlos estimated that the job would take a couple of hours but due to the build up, they worked almost four straight hours. They explained the entire process to me, showed me what came out of the ducts (yikes), cleaned the dryer vent, and vacuumed all areas after they were finished (they could give our housecleaners a run for their money). I also was very impressed at their manuevering the vacuum down a flight of stairs. I highly recommend Atlantic and will use them again in five years as I'm not waiting another 16 years to pass!

I contacted Atlantic Duct Cleaning, Inc. after viewing the Deal advertisement on Angie's List. The reviews for this company were very good. I had been unable to get referrals from friends and family on any duct cleaning service or an approximate cost. Previous comments from customers on Angie's list helped me make a decision. The close location of the company to my home was also a determining factor. The response to my email was very fast and work was scheduled within a week. Employees Darrel and J.D. were very polite and professional. They did show me the contents of the "vacuum" when work was completed. The only suggestion would be seeing it before and after for a comparison! I have changed my unit filter and look forward to less house vacuuming. Thanks Darrel and J.D..

The job went very smoothly.

Darryl and JD arrived as scheduled. After a quick orientation identifying the duct registers in the split-level house, they set up and began work with a high-power vacuum machine in the furnace room. The duct system had never been cleaned in over 25 years. A lot of dirt and dust was removed. About 2 hours later they were done, had cleaned up everything and departed. No residual dirt. Excellent job.

Quick and efficient. I had asked for a camera view of the ducts in my mbr. They brought a camera and examined the duct as requested.

Alfonso from Atlantic Duct Cleaning arrived on time, was very professional and courteous. After I explained the problem to him, he explained to me exactly what he would do to try to diagnose and fix the problem. While performing his work, he kept the work area very clean, protected our floors, etc... cleaned up after all of the work was done - even outside where a lot of lint had been removed from the duct work! We were extremely happy with this company and with Alfonso and will definitely be using them in the future!
