+ -1 moreThey replaced the chimney cap and when I went to look, the rusty areas were all there. I told them that they were not doing what I asked. He said that they had never said they would take care of the rusty areas. I told them that the only reason I hired them was to remove the rusty areas because it made the chimney look bad. He said that I was not working with him and wanted to know what I wanted them to do. As I started to reply, the other individual suggested that they could extend the sides of the cap to cover the rusty areas. They did that and were able to cover most of the rusty areas.
Description of Work: I told them that I wanted the removal of rusty areas on all sides near the top of chimney. The rust makes the chimney look bad. They said that they would replace the cap on top of the chimney and that would take care of the problem.

+ 0 moreThey came out and swept the chimney and put a wire cap around the outside of the chimney. I called, told them what type of chimney I had, and they gave me an estimate. They told me that I would have to move the furniture in front of it and such, but I didn't have to do that at all because they didn't understand what type of chimney I had. I wouldn't have had to move the furniture because they didn't do anything that involved much of anything inside, but I still had to end up paying the $200 because that is what we had agreed on. They were relatively clean, but did leave a few pieces of wire around in the yard. They were, however, very friendly.
Description of Work: They came and swept the chimney and put a wire cap around the openings.

Description of Work: They did a brief cleaning (basically a vacuum job) and suggested a new chimney cap and replacement of some piping. A previous estimate had been well over $2,000.00, but his was far less at $400+. They seemed competent.

Description of Work: Company came out and replaced chase cover on chimney. Several weeks later high winds/storm loosened chimney cap and left it at an angle. Company came out and repaired chimney cap at no additional cost.
