ARS / Rescue Rooter Manassas

We have a contract with them for our annual service contract type of thing. They just do a really good job. We actually bought a new HVAC system, two of them. They're pretty good, top notched.

Initial contact was through a Home Depot display. Scheduled the initial sales meeting, all that was fine. Sales guy showed as scheduled, professional guy. Came down to a Carrier or a Trane system, the sales guy said they frequently sell both. Went with Trane to match my other unit (not purchased or installed by ARS). Thier price was higher than two other estimates I had, but not by an excessive amount, and they could install sooner. Installers showed up as scheduled, two nice guys - took about 7 hours to do the install. Installer told me as he was wrapping up the install that this was the first Trane system they had done, and he was unfamiliar with the equipment, and actually, he could not tell me anything about the digital thermostat as he knew nothing about it. They also could not install the home humidifier, as they needed a part that was not on their truck. I was told a supervisor would get in touch with me on Monday (the install happened on a Friday) and schedule the installation of the humidifier. I was also told someone would get back to me to make sure everything was working ok..."they wanted everything to be right". That was the last time I have heard from anyone at ARS - no one has called, not for anything. I called and left a message on that Monday, and again, no response - it's now been about a month. We figured out the thermostat, but the humidifier sits in the utility room on the floor, and we've now noticed the compressor unit outside was not installed level, it's leaning to the side. Can't believe this is thier level of customer service...I've already complained to Home Depot, for what that's worth.

They did a good job, it was a warranty part.

The installation went great. They were very professional.

Kenny arrived on time and went under kitchen sink to inspect leaking faucet and recommended install new faucet. But, he had only one faucet in the truck and it was the most expensive, Moen pullout spray. I don't need pull out spray. So, either fix old faucet, install faucet from the truck, or make another appointment to come back with different faucet. Faucet from the truck cost $676.40-$100.00 credit or wait for next time. I wanted job done now, so installed faucet off the truck. Tough job to remove old and install new in tight space.

Used in 2016 and 2017 for required condo A/C inspection. Took advantage of advertised special.

Went well, although have been trying to get copies of paperwork and warrantee on sump pump (serviceman left with box containing paperwork). Serviceman promised today on e-mail he would get this to us soon.

Fine. I provided the disposal to be replaced and the service person replaced the malfunctioning toilet works within the tank.

Plumber said it would require parts that he'd need to find or else replace the entire set up. He said he'd call back when he found the parts. We talked with him once and he said he'd been busy, then we never heard from him again. Faucets handles are still not replaced or repaired.

We used them at our old home in McLean. We used them the whole 7 years that we lived there. They did a good job. I don't really know about price because I did not do a comparison. They showed up when we made appointments.

Very well. Lee Strayer of ARS sold us the system being replaced and it was a good experience so we used Lee again. He walked us through the available options and fully answered our questions which made the decision easier. He also worked to take advantage of manufacturer discounts and to arrange the installation. The day of the installation was pouring rain but the team worked around that without complaint or mess to our home and were finished by mid-afternoon.

They did such a good job. In fact I called them and commented on their technician they sent, who was particularly good.

I am extremely pleased with the service received from ARS Rescue Rooter of Manassas. Kenny called when he was on the way, arrived early, and was extremely courteous and professional throughout the job. Within a few minutes, he was able to dislodge the blockage and the toilet is now up and running. The deal I got through Angie's List covered the cost of the service exactly, so I did not have to pay anything out of pocket.

The 2 service men worked quickly, quietly, and proficiently.

They arrived on time. In 5 hours they had the old systems out and new in. Showed me how they work and some of the maintenance that I would need to do. Price was excellent for service and quality of install.

The technician complete the job. The next morning one unit did not work. I called a different tech through my warranty service provider. It was down due to a leaky cap. The ARS Tech did not place the cap on properly upon completing the maintenance. Then I reported it to ARS who initially stated that there was nothing that they could do. Also, stated that I should have called them first. Since I did not know what the issue was, I use my warranty provider. ARS did not want to pay for the repairs. As a result, I cancelled my transaction with them due to not being satisfied with their service.

I had no problems with them. They were on point and keeping my system going. I had no issues with them at all.

It was a routine check up because I went on a routine service agreement with them. They checked the heating to make sure everything was in proper order and to make sure the drains were clear.

I think they did it all in one day. When we decided to go with them. We have one room that doesn't have a second story with recess lights. That room is fairly new, we put it in 6 years ago. He showed me pictures of stucco in there. All those lights were coming in through those recess lights, they were not properly caulked or insulated, so we were losing a lot of beautiful energy through those recess lights. He corrected that. He correct where some of the baffles were covered. He brought it up to high lighting. There was a giant antenna laying across the top of the attic in the main house doing absolutely nothing. They broke it up and removed it. I felt like they were my eyes and ears going up there, something I couldn't do and showed me things that were done incorrectly. The original insulation was a bluff. It had been displaced. I actually had ceiling drywall in between the structure. They corrected it all. Even the ceiling access was properly insulated and closed. They are just very thorough. They helped us when they troubleshooted from the old company. The price seemed perfectly fair, they didn't try to sell you a cheap product with a cheap price. It seemed like a fair price in line with quality. That's all we really want.

It was a bit pricey. The water heater was $1300. They also changed out the humidifier pad and cleaned my humidifier and furnace for $69, and the Flo-tech was $1500. I scheduled them for the 16th for seasonal maintenance on the furnace. When they changed out the pad on the humidifier, the cleaning was complimentary. They're very timely, and very polite. They troubleshooted my furnace.
