It was a bad experience. They told us we needed a new heating and a/c unit but we didn't. Our system was only six years old. They even installed the system in our home for the previous owners. However, they have not stood by their product or installation. Instead, I called someone else to perform the repairs. I would not recommend their services.

While their regular service was professional, I was frustrated by their sales support when it came time to purchase a new HVAC system. Different people from the local office contacted me with different pricing and offers. They were unresponsive to my queries for more information. Finally, their pricing was 25 - 30% higher for comparable systems. We ended up purchasing from another vendor that will also provide the preventative maintenance on the new HVAC system going forward.

Just before the heat of the summer began, my air conditioning went out. ARS had maintained my furnace/AC for the previous owner of my home and had done some regular maintenance for me.They showed up the same day that I called, but unfortunately told me that my entire system needed to be replaced. After doing some research, I decided to buy a new furnace/AC from them. They scheduled an appointment a few days later (they had faster dates, but I was not available), and showed up on time. They did great work and were done in one day. In point of fact, the furnace that they sold me could not be made to work in the space available, so they gave me an upgrade to a better unit at no additional cost! While I'm not happy that the old unit died, that's certainly not their fault. They were prompt and professional, and I would happily use them again.

Did the installation on extremely hot day. Had 2 crews (1 on each system). First crew arrived on time (~9 am) and the second around 45 min later. They had both systems operational by 3 pm. Were careful to put down tarps from entrance of home to the furnace locations. Very impressed with their efficiency in getting work done. They were courteous during entire process. A week or so after install, I heard a squealing sound from the fan on one of the outdoor units. They had someone out the next day and ordered replacement part on my word since the fan was not squealing when the tech was here. Replaced fan and been fine since. The other unit developed intermittent 'chattering' on heat pump. Required several call outs until could get the noise to occur while tech was here. Never had any problems getting someone out. After second callout, ARS rep called me expressing concern that they weren't addressing my problem. The rep followed through and expedited repairs. The prompt response to calls, attention by management (including expediting spare parts once problem solution developed) leaves me with nothing but praise for the way ARS has performed.

We have had a business relationship with ARS for HVAC maintenance for nearly seven years. So when we needed to replace the 20+ year old water heater and nearly-20-year-old gas furnace in our current house, they were the obvious choice. The salesman was professional, answered our questions and didn't push particularly hard to get us to upgrade to something bigger/better/more expensive than what we really needed. We chose what we wanted, and were able to negotiate the price down significantly. Businesses want business, and as long as your requests are reasonable, they will most likely agree! It never hurts to ask. The installation itself got started a little late thanks to traffic, but was done professionally and correctly. We are very pleased with our new products, and are looking forward to actually using the gas furnace when the weather gets cold enough.

I was supposed to get a discount, and they never gave it to me. I think that their prices were too high. I decided to go with another company.

In January 2011 we called ARS to install a humidifier on our furnance which ARS installed new in our new house in 2005. They came and evaluated the situation and gave us an estimate for a non-powered system and a powered fan system which was to be more effective. We agreed to the higher level system at $700 and a week later it was installed. It never raised the humidity to acceptable levels which was promised. We had ARS back 2 times to check the system and both times they said it was working OK. In the end we paid $700 for a system which "works" but doesn't provide the needed results. We were not offered a refund so we have a worthless system attached to our furnance. In August 2011 we were installing hardwood flooring in my sons house and a finishing nail punctured the 1/4" copper line running from the inside furnance to the compressor outside in an enclosed area. After identifying the puncture, no bigger than 1/32", he called ARS to make the repair. They charged him $1,600 for the couple of hours to replace a small section of the pipe and install the refrigerant. He didn't have the experience to question such a charge or refuse the service and call another HVAC contractor. If we had known a small hole in a copper tube would be that expensive we would have researched the repair and had multiple estimates. In August 2011 we called ARS because our AC was not working in the upper zone of our house. This is a system installed by ARS in 2005 so we felt we should contact them. They repaired the system at a cost of about $500. Last week the lower level system failed in the same way. The systems are only 6 years old. We will definitely not call ARS again for this repair or any other.

I thought they were a little expensive for the services they did. The condenser cost about $1 and they charged me $320. The condenser was for an outside air conditioning unit. The quality of work was okay. I didn't have any problem with them responding to me. They offered me a service contract for the product but that was kind of pricey too.

I had no complaints with their services. It has been a continuous relationship. When they left there was no damage and they cleaned up nicely.

We didnt' spend anything because it was part of the homeowners warranty. It was the second visit in a month. It took them about 4 hours to do the job. They were very thorough. They explained exactly what needed to be clean. Once it was clean they said it would start producing cooler air. They showed that the drain was clogged, so they cleaned it out very well. We haven't had any problems with it since, other than a squealing noise. They came out a second time and solved that by securing a pipe that was making noise the air conditioning room. They have been very responsive. The techs are knowledgeable. They are professional. They show respect. It was yes ma'am and yes sir. The customer service part is important to me. Since it was a home warranty, we didn't expect to get great service and we did. We have been very pleased with that. They came out within 24 hours of our phone call. They are always within 10 minutes (plus or minus) of the time they tell us they will be here

They were sent by my home warranty company for my air conditioning. They have been very thorough and prompt. They always call before the technician arrives; they give me a half hour head start, which I think is nice. The problems started three months ago. They made their sixth visit recently. The work was never really successful. It is turning out that the problem lies with the electrical box. I have to get an electrician. I have nothing but good things to say about the people they have sent. I do not know if anybody else could have figured it out. They have pretty much rebuilt the air conditioning. I am not sure if they needed to or if it is just owing to electrical components. They have certainly tried and have been diligent about it. I will continue to use them in the future.

I have an on-going warranty with them. I spent $9000 on that work. They did a really good job and I have not had any problems. There is a 2 year warranty maintenance. There were 4 men who came out and did a great job. They had it installed in 1 day. I am pretty impressed with them. I have stuck with them and if I had a problem with them, I would have gone to someone else.

I called this company after experience with United Air Temp in the past. I was hoping that ARS was less of a 'sales representative' and more of a specialist in the area that I needed service with. My hopes came to fruition and the service was outstanding. J ason was punctual and extremely friendly and professional. His passion for his job showed in everything he did. Unlike last companies that used to service my HVAC, he didn't mind me following him around and asking him hundreds of questions. He seemed to enjoy explaining to me how things work, what to look for and how to tell if a problem is minor (and how to fix it) or if a problem was serious and when to call for service. The initial call was just for service on a home that I had just bought and wasn't cooling as well as I felt it should on the warmest days this year. We discovered many malfunctions and inattention that the previous owners/service providers have overlooked. The initial 1 hour service turned into a 5 hour trouble shooting session and throughout the entire process Jason continued to tell me what he was doing, what he was looking for and how it impacted the system. Not once was there a suggestion to buy things that I didn't need. He did make two recommendations on the attic units - trip switches that temporarily shuts the system down if the drain gets plugged. He explained that a $105.00 part could prevent water damage should the unit condensate more than the drain can handle. Under no pressure, I thought it was a good idea and he installed them immediately. Overall I am extremely pleased with ARS and I will be asking for Jason on all future services. I signed up for the service contract as I tend to be very proactive when it comes to the maintenance of my home. I could not be more pleased with the service that ARS provided. Granted, this was just one of many visits and I hope that the outstanding service Jason provided is representative of the rest of the company.

. The most outstanding thing is that they come when they say they will and if they cannot for any reason you will get a call from them during the day so that you will know what is going on. Ones they get there they are quite knowledgeable. So far I have been very satisfied with the information they have been able to give me. They are pretty punctual and informative. I have had him do a little bit of kitchen plumbing work and they were very good at that too.

Surprisingly, we don't see the same tech very often, always seems to be someone different, but all of them are very professional and there is little pressure from them to buy unneeded extras. Most important, they are professional to my wife and answer all of her questions -- although each seems to have his own theories and suggestions, they never talk down to her and she is comfortable dealing with them. Since she is the one who most often stays at home to monitor their visits, I feel this is very important and gives me piece of mind as a husband.

Top notch! Great service! Went from rusty, leaking coil to whole new system in less than 36 hours, clock time. Good rebates and discounts with rapid answers to telephone questions and office support. Thanks to Kenny, Scott and the both work crews. Plan to continue long term support with ARS.

They matched the best price and we got it done. They came in and did a good job and it is working fine. We have not had any problems yet. They got here on time and they were responsive. They followed through with what they said they were going to do and when they were going to do it. They were anxious to do the work and they threw in some extra things to make everything happen. The workers were polite, went about their work quickly and cleaned up after themselves. They showed us how to work everything and took the time to show us the things we needed to know about the system. I would recommend them to others.

The estimator gave us an estimate immediately. Others took several days to give us an estimate. We spoke to them about another estimate which was close and they reduced the cost by additional 8%. In the end, they beat all our other estimates and gave us a new humidifier. The installers were efficient. The company is filing for our refund of $1,000.

I think we got a pretty good deal because ARS was way under their competitors. I was surprised how much under the other guys they were; I wondered how they could do it. They filled out the paperwork for the rebate and everything, I just have to send it in. I?m a little concerned because the form they gave me has the wrong dates on it, but they told me it would work. I have a service contract with them so I will be using them again in the future.

We dropped them because when it came to replacing the unit their quote was very high. They were too expensive. In terms of service contract they were very variable. Sometimes they were very good and conscientious and sometimes they just wanted to finish the work and get out. They were punctual. They were always on time and came when they said they would. If you are looking for a new heating and air conditioning system they are very expensive and I would ask others to shop around.

We have them on retainer so it is a contract service. It is maybe $90 a visit prepaid. Overall we have had good experiences with them. We have hired them to do other things and intend to hire them for other things. They are convenient, clean and do good work. So far nothing has broken and we are pleased with the way they do it.

The guy who came out was very articulate and had been in the business a long time. When I found out they were giving me a model that had been discontinued, that ruined it for me.

It went well. The Air Conditioner wasn't cooling the house. When called, they gave me a time and were on time. They quickly decided that the work was under warranty and that I wasn't to be charged. They did the work and the AC unit has worked well all summer
