ANV CONSTRUCTION GROUP INC

Very bad. It has been almost three years since the problem was identified. ANV dragged their feet in responding and still has not repaired the leaks. Fairfax County issued them notice of cose violation.

I contracted with ANV to have my house built in 2013. The entire process was not as smooth as they explained to me. Their customer service was horrible. It's been over two years since I moved in. Three major issues are still outstanding. There are water leaks that the Fairfax County Code Enforcement office found ANV in violation of. One of the garages built is too shallow for me to park my midsize sedan. The garage door falls on the trunk of the car if I try to close. They changed column designs arbitrarily without my approval. DPOR is investigating right now. One of the consequences of DPOR decision will be suspension of their license. Looking at another person's post on this site, ANV is habitual in their bad behavior of not addressing customer issues.

We contracted with ANV to have a house built. The experience was not what we had expected or hoped for. Our house building process was very stressful and included numerous problems and delays along the way. Nearly 18 months after moving in, we are still waiting for ANV to meet the contract terms and complete fixes on the house that were part of our move-in punch list. Communication with the company has been awful. Follow-up, obviously, is lacking. We literally have to nag the builder to get any work done. And still, we continue to wait for ANV to fix the remaining problems. Here's just one example: Our contract states: "All cabinets, including secondary bathrooms, will have dovetail drawers." As of mid-August 2014, ANV has not installed dovetail drawers with the cabinetry in our master bathroom, this despite even providing us dates back in June 2014 by which the work would be complete, but ultimately never occurred. These are the types of assurances we have received from ANV: "I hope all is well with you and your family. I will make sure that you are taken care of. I will speak with Rene to finalize the remaining punch items in your home as well. I will have him contact you soon to go over the details. Thank you, Nick Renzella ANV Group" That e-mail was sent on December 19, 2013. Here, near the end of August, 2014, we still continue to wait for ANV to complete the punch list fixes and satisfy its end of the building contract. I have spoken with other ANV customers that have had similar problems with ANV following up to complete punch-list item repairs. Were I to build another house, I would not hire ANV after this experience. Update: As of early May, 2015, we filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against ANV. They have not fixed the items addressed above. Also, numerous other items/damage to our house that ANV or its contractors caused, were not and have not been repaired, despite having been addressed on our punch lists and/or the construction contract. It has been more than two years since we moved in.

House building is a complex process and it involves many vendors. Issues does and will occur during construction and they should be resolved. I will post my reviews once the house is delivered and when we know their approach on taking ownership of issues and fairness in resolving them.
