Andy Hawkey repaired a toilet. A contractor remodeled our master bath and when the toilet was reinstalled one of the caps that goes over the floor bolts must have fallen in the toilet. Of course the plumber didn't fish the cap out. After three service calls with the original contractor, which all were unsuccessful, I called Andy for help. After arriving it took him about 3 minutes to figure out what was wrong. He fished the cap out and the toilet works fine again. Andy is extremely professional, timely, courteous and overall a great plumber. I've used Andy before and will for all plumbing problems.

Prompt clean service. Provided instructions (and hard to find component) to fix one of the smaller problems myself if it should happen to another valve. Has quality products at fair prices. I will definitely call on him in the future. Quality work.

The referred plumber was punctual, courteous, clean, and professional. He removed my broken gas water heater and installed a newer better model in a few hours. Everything went well.

I found Andy Hawkey through Angie's List and Consumer Checkbook, where he is rated superior for price and quality of work. Andy lived up to that rating. He spent over two hours replacing a pressure relief valve; installing a backup battery sump pump; and repairing a leaking hose bib. I had a backup battery sump pump from a previous home. Before installing it Andy determined it wasn't working correctly and suggested that I purchase a new one. Andy did other work while I ran to Lowes and purchased a new unit. I asked if I needed to replace the sump pump at this time or could I hold off for now. Andy looked at the unit and said it made sense to not replace it at this time (the unit is 8 years old) and wait until there is a problem with it. Instead of replacing a hose bib that was leaking, Andy repaired it and didn't charge me for that service. Andy showed up on time and was a true professional in all his work and dealings. His wife accompanied him and helped out as needed. I highly recommend Andy Hawkey Plumbing.

Overall I'd give him an A-. We've used him to troubleshoot and fix a leaking toilet and pipes, as well as conduct a plumbing inspection. I stay with him over the competition because he's not franchised and he's just a hard working local small business owner.

Andy has been our family plumber for years, and -- as usual -- his latest work was stellar. For example, I absolutely trusted him to pick out a faucet for me, and my trust was not misplaced: the new faucet not only meets all my requirements for height, etc., it also looks terrific. And he and Maria worked with me when I had to cancel my first appointment because of a family emergency that lasted for a while. I recommend Andy Hawkey Plumbing without reservation.

We have used Andy many times before. He is a real pro who I would trust with anything. He is on time and easy to deal with.

It was maybe 4 or 5 days before we received a call back, and it was from his wife, Marie/Maria. She said that Andy was no longer comfortable coming to our home to do work bc based on the way that I was asking questions, that he felt that I didn't trust his work. (It's based on this that I give Andy a D for two of the above categories). There is so much that I can really say to this, but I won't. You're on your own if you decide to use him, just don't ask questions about what he's doing.

Expect a FIRST CLASS service. He is local and his attention to detail is meticulous and satisfying. He knows my concerns and he communicates very well. He's very knowledgeable and provides me specific technical information relevant to the plumbing job itself. (For example, venting a room where there is a hot water heater.) He is a very friendly, open and his wife also assist him and is equally approachable. I highly recommend this company.

Provider called back, but due to his heavy workload would have been unable to provide any service before the end of August. He recommended another plumber, whom I have yet to call.

There was a drain that was not functioning properly but he fixed it. It was a little bit outside his normal scope of work but he was great about taking care of it for me.

We called to get an estimate for a hot water heater and a few other odds and ends that needed to be fixed. He thoroughly explained what was wrong, what needed to be done and future suggestions. He even sent us an email with THOROUGH descriptions of the work done.

He came out on the day before Thanksgiving and fixed my garbage disposal and fixed my sink. He was quick, extremely responsive. They are sure to return phone calls or help out in any way. Very personable. I have recommend him to others.
