All-Star Duct Cleaning

It was exactly as described. They were nice and showed me a big bag of lent.

Jenny, David and Russell were great! Jenny took my call, gave me an estimate and scheduled to meet my needs. David and Russell were on time, did a great job pulling out my stackable washer and dryer and completed the dryer duct cleaning as ordered. They cleaned up the massive dust and all around and inside the dryer and there was not a spot of dust or dirt in the room when they left. Put on the new dryer vent and made sure it was all hooked up properly. Very efficient and took before and after pictures for me. They even gave me a new customer discount! Excellent job and I highly recommend this company!

Provider did a great job cleaning our dryer vent in a cureous and professional manner. They were also quick. The only downside was that they arrived an hour earlier than what they told us and had one of us not been home we would have missed them. We would use them again, however.

It was okay. I ended up spending a little bit more. But they are good and did the job that they said they were going to do.

It worked out just fine. Everything was fine. The guy was very capable and seem to do a really good job. I was a little surprised it was as easily done as it was.

Equipment not state of the art. Employee had to use a cell phone to see if vents were clean. Employee chip paint on corner of wall. Service lasted around an hour. $495 an hour! Didn't include dryer vent. That's DC lawyer prices. If that's all services do, I'll get one who isn't that pricey.

Awesome! Punctual, friendly, courteous. They went up on the roof to access the dryer vent and cleaned it out from outside... then went inside and moved the dryer and cleaned it out from that end. Then cleaned out the trap. When they were done they cleaned up the area. I would hire them again.

They showed up on time and did what they were supposed to do! I needed this service done as part of the sale of my house. I would use them again if I needed the same service.

The company is very responsive, polite, and has great communication skills. Unfortunately the cleaning went wrong. The purpose of having your duct work cleaned is to have clean air to breath. Mid way through our cleaning the duct vac blew a breaker and dust and debris began blowing back into our home leaving a layer of dust all over the home. I have lung problems so we schedule a cleaning of our duct work every couple of years. We have never had this problem with past providers. I had to leave the home with my son because I began having breathing problems. My husband stayed inside while the men finished up. Russell left without doing an inspection and speaking to my husband so he could inform him about the issue. We did call the office after the gentlemen departed and Jenny said she would call the technicians and get back to us right away. As promised, Jenny called back a few minutes later to report her findings. She informed us the problems with dust coming back out of the duct work was due to how our home was set up (the duct work that is.) We informed her this is not the first time we have had this type of cleaning performed and never once had this type of issue. My husband let her know again the technician told him to start closing doors because the breaker blew during the cleaning and dirt and dust was blowing back out of the duct work into the home. The technician was blowing air into the duct work and the vacuum was not turned on to suck the dirt back out. Keep in mind the vacuum is quite loud and you could hear if it was on or off. By him blowing air down into the duct work and not having any suction at the other end the dirt just rebounded off of the sides of the duct walls and blew back into the home. My husband went on to explain this to Jenny. Jenny was determined to make it right and offered to have the crew come out to inspect the duct work and show us the video on Monday to ensure the duct work was clean. She is very professional and is trying to ensure they did their job. The only issue is the duct work will likely show up clean but our home is now filled with dust and dirt. This goes against the reason you get your duct work cleaned. The technician should have immediately addressed the issue and the company should do a final walk through of the property upon completion. We are very surprised since the company has such a stellar reputation and reviews. We also realize accidents happen and the Company and their very polite and personable representative Jenny are trying to make things right. The only thing that is going to make things right now is a cleaning of my home to get rid of the dust and debris they blew through the home.

Russell and his team were great! They arrived on-time and were very professional, knowledgable, and thorough. They were also flexible, as we asked them to clean the dryer vent after they arrived. I used an Angie's List coupon for the inspection of the units and the cleaning of the upstairs ductwork. That seemed very reasonable. However, I thought the cost to seal the mold on the corners of the insulation in the unit and sanitize the ductwork was a little expensive. However, since Russell and his team were at the house already and were extremely professional, I went ahead and had it done.

Russell and David arrived early for the appointment. They were very courteous, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

Response to coupon purchase was timely. And the 2 gentlemen that performed the service were fantastic --- true professionals in every sense of the word. They were thorough and left the general work area clean and neat. I will call them next year to perform the dryer vent cleaning --- they were just that good! Thank you!

It went great! I purchased it on Saturday, they emailed Sunday, and performed the service Monday morning. The two-man crew showed up on time, got right to work, and were done well within an hour. I appreciated that they wore shoe covers while inside the house. I couldn't be more pleased.

Arrived on time. Were pleasant and professional. Explained the process and went right to work. I would not pay for the EnviroCon again - the less than two minute application was supposed to clean and protect all of my ductwork. Otherwise, I feel like I got what I paid for.

Everything went well. They showed up and did a quick survey and within 10 minutes they were setting up. I think it took them just under 2 hours. I'm extremely satisfied and will be using them again!

These guys were on time, did very detailed work, showed us all of our ducts via camera (locating some mouse holes for us that we need to fix!), and showed us what came out of the ducts. They were respectful and professional. I will definitely use these guys again!!! Thanks!

They did a good job. They were here on time for the appointment and the cleaners that were here were nice. I had asked them for pictures of what they did in the appointment. I did not get them after the service so I called and asked for them and they sent one. I wanted all of them and they never got back to me about that.

We had just closed on a house, and i wanted to get the Air-Ducts cleaned, since it was a used home. Researched on Angie's list, and found that All-Star had good reviews, and also had a decent deal to do this for a single system @$239. Called and talked to Jenny, who was very nice and professional when setting up the appointment. She had mentioned that the personnel would call the day before to confirm the appt. When they did not call the day before, I called her again, and she mentioned that they should typically call around 4.30-5PM before they leave. Did not receive a call, but I assumed that since I already spoke with her, it was OK. The day of the service, I had not got a call yet, so I called her again, when she said that they usually call when they are like 30min out, and she checked with them and told me that they were indeed 30min out. As long as they came, I was ok with it. I had a bunch of other contractors scheduled for the day to do other work, and these were the first ones scheduled. When they came in, they seemed nice, and they got setup to do my upstairs system. I was with them for almost 2 hrs when they were setting up, and getting the stuff setup in the basement too. Jenny had mentioned that I would be able to see the ducts on Video to see what they were cleaning, and how effective they are, but there was no mention of it from the team, and when I asked about it, they said they only do photos. the first thing they did was tell me that there was some moisture related stains and that they recommend a sanitizer treatment (obviously that was not included in the initial price), and that it will be $200 per system. Given that I had never had such cleaning performed, I went with their recommendation assuming that they knew better. they were also saying that an effective cleanup process would involve cleaning the coils too, but that I need to get my HVAC folks to do it to get it done properly. I agreed and moved on. Once they finished upstairs, they went to the basement, and I had to go look at my other contractor's works, as they also arrived at that time. In a little while, they seemed to have finished, and were getting ready to pack up. I reminded them that they need to clean the dryer vent too, and they said that they already did that. I did not know what to say, since I had not seen them do it, while they were upstairs... and then when the final bill was given to me, I was told that i got a discount of $100 on coil cleaning, and that was the first I heard about including the coil cleaning with them, since they had told me to get the HVAC guys to do it. That was another $300 with the discount!!! I was not given any photos, except for when they wanted to show me the stains in the attic, which they used to sell me the sanitizer service. He said that he would email me the photos, and made sure that I wrote down my email on the bill. This was 4 days ago, and I have not heard from them again. I was initially happy with the process with these guys, but the end left a really bad taste in my mouth. I am not a guy who picks a fight with service providers, and thus had calmly given the check for the amount they billed me ( I didn't have the time or energy either that day, due to multiple things going on). This was the first time I depended on Angie's list to choose a service provider, and am not sure I will again, given that these guys were providers of the year, and I can't imagine how others might be, if the best was like this... A project that I assumed would cost $600 turned out to be $1200, and even at that, left me feeling unsatisfied with the quality and responsiveness... Update: 09/07/14 Jenny, thanks for responding to this. Just wanted to reply to your comment that I had specifically asked your technician about the video scope, and he told me that he is only going to take pictures and not a video scope. Also, he mentioned that I would get those pictures the very next day, and I do not believe I have them even after a month. If he had told me that he was doing the video, I would have definitely made the time, as you guys were my top priority that day... As you mention below, I definitely was busy that day, and that was the reason I didn't have time to argue with them, or even reach out to you for clarification (but I should not have had to)... There was no mold involved here by the way...

We put a contract on a house knowing that the heat pump and air handler were old (~14 years) - our home inspector took one look inside the unit and immediately turned it off as the inner coils were caked in filth. He snapped photos and we could not tell if it was dirt or mold so we requested a mold inspection be done at the buyer's expense. I purchased the deal to have the testers come out, take samples, and let us know what they find. They were punctual, professional, and polite. As the were working, they had a camera and video monitor for us to look inside the system and were able to confirm that what we were looking at was just years of built up dirt and dust (from never having the HVAC system professionally cleaned). They took samples anyway and are going to get a report back to us. The "deal" seemed expensive to me but the money was well worth the peace of mind before I move my family in. We will probably recontact this company to get the ducts cleaned prior to moving in.

A crew of 3 men were sent to clear the dryer vent. I hadn't realized the extent of difficulty in this job. Because our dryer vents through the roof, it was necessary that they go through the attic. Birds had somehow gotten into the vent so I was glad to have had this service performed. The price was well worth it. Got a deal through Angie's list!

All-Star duct cleaning did a great job and I was happy with the service. They came out within 2 days of calling. I had a birds nest in the dryer vent and was surprised at how much material and dryer lint was in the vent. The service guys did a great job and it was clear that they were being careful not to damage the ducts.
