All County Heating & Air Conditioning

I have used them a couple of times since we moved into this house. They are pretty prompt in their service. If you ask them to come out, they are here within a day or so. They tell you when they are going to come out. They show up when they say they are going to. They will call you when they are 30 minutes out. I think the price is a little high.

Damon came by to look the job over and discuss options. I was show furnaces from inexpensive to rather expensive and picked one in the middle as a compromise between efficiency and complexity. Damon was a pleasure to work with and gave an honest and knowledgeable cost/benefit analysis of each system. At no time did I feel any pressure to buy more that I wanted to or even to buy a furnace at all. The installation was done when it was scheduled and took exactly as long as predicted. No surprises. I am pleased with the furnace.

We had had repairs done by another firm on June 3rd, but almost immediately sensed that the cooling power was diminishing. We had to wait a few days before All County could come out, but when they did, they discovered a leak in the pipe outside leading from the external unit. We had paid for an entire coolant refill of RU22 from the first company, and it had apparently all leaked out into the environment within days. Not only did we lose cooling, but it cost us $475 for a wasted refill. The All County tech repaired the pipe, and enough time has past that we are confident it is no longer leaking. The All County folks were polite, efficient, and they found the problem!

We called All County to come and take a look at our a/c which was not working. They did not have an appointment available for a few days, so we set something up for Friday, but they said they would call if something opened up sooner. On Thursday morning we received a call that a technician was on the way. He came out and took some time looking over our unit and diagnosing the issue. The problem he found could not be fixed same day because he did not have the necessary parts; they would have to be ordered. While he was here he did give us a few estimates to replace the unit. We let him know we would think over the replacement but also wanted the cost for the parts and labor for the repair. He told us he could have that information to us by the next morning. It has now been 4 1/2 days from the date of our appointment and our a/c has now been out for a week and despite us calling and leaving 2 messages, we have yet to hear back from All County with answers to our questions or a quote for repair. We are very disappointed with the lack of responsiveness from this company. Needless to say, we will not use this company again, nor will we recommend their services to anyone.

It went extremely well. When my RHEEM unit failed, All-County diagnosed the problem, under an existing service contract, at no cost. The service person took me through the tradeoff cost of replacing just the shorted compressor vs a new system. The failed unit was only a few years out of warranty, but the track record of RHEEM unit failures wasn't good, so I agreed that it made little sense to repair the unit. Because the RHEEM unit wasn't that old, I was unhappy to be faced with the cost of replacing the system, but agreed that it made the most sense. The repair person gave me a proposal cost of $4375 to replace the system with a Amana System that had the same SEER rating, 13, as the failed system. Since the weather was still cold, I was advised that I could use the Emergency Heat while I considered options for replacing the unit. After some research, I called All-County and spoke with a very professional lady who answered all my questions regarding Amana systems reliability. Upon my request, she offered me several options that would increase the EER to 14 and provide me with a better warranty, for only $525 more, which seemed like a very good trade-off. I accepted the offer and requested the earliest available install date. A snow storm was expected shortly, so a date was set for a day later, with the understanding that if it was a bad storm, we might have to defer it to the next week. After the storm passed, I was informed that even though there was snow, still on the ground, they would arrive as planned to perform the install. The team arrived on time as committed and completed the work that day, efficiently and professionally. I highly recommend them and their recommended products.

They are professioanl, competent and do things right the first time. They don't cvomplain about follow up if neccasary. We would reccomend them highly.

The crew showed up when promised. Work was done well and the crew cleaned up everything before they left the job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC work done.

We called All County because they were highly recommended by several friends in the Manassas area. Our primary concern was finding a company we could trust. We were happy that they were able to come all the way out to Reston. The technician was extremely nice and very trustworthy. He never tried to advise us to do any other maintenance tasks other than what was absolutely necessary to get our system up and running properly. We've had other companies in the past advise other types of work that were not necessary. He ended up adding several pounds of freon. Several weeks later the system is still working, so we're glad that he advised us not to do a costly leak test as it was unnecessary.

Cleaned the drain line and checked everything else. Very professional and answered my questions.

Servicemen showed up on time and performed all duties as agreed. I was very pleased with the way the installation went.

We had some work that was required by the relocation company which will be purchasing our home. The inspector for the relocation company stated that we needed to replace the reversing solenoid in the A/C unit. In addition, we needed to have a humidifier removed as it was corroded and leaking. All-County was able to send someone the day after I called due to a cancellation. Thankfully, the tech who came looked at the A/C unit and discovered that the inspector was wrong. It was only a rusted coil. This saved us hundreds of dollars. He worked efficiently and I was charged a very fair rate. I was extremely pleased with this company and would recommend them.

Our unit has a very slow leak and requires having refrigerant added every two or three years. The technician was very professional and quite well-informed about the unusual type of system we have.

I have used them for at least five years. I find the service excellent. They arrive on time, diagnose problems with confidence and solve the problem.

I've been using them for years and they're great. They have an emergency number and their technicians will come out on a Sunday if need be, regardless of the weather. They are very reliable!

Overall not bad experience, I have used this company before with good results. However they arrived unprepared for the scope of the job I was asking to have estimated and it showed vs others who came out prepared for all manner of questions. Their original estimate didn't appear to qualify me for tax credits and used the lowest efficiency AC legally available. They were happy to bump this up to better equipment upon request and clarify the tax question but I had to know to ask, I wasn't given a range of options but rather a single choice until I asked for more options. Difference in price for better equipment wasn't significant considering the scope of the job, it's labor that is expensive for such a large project. The people I spoke to on the phone were friendly, responsive, and helpful - this held true for email. In the end I went elsewhere because I felt another company was better prepared, asked more questions to better understand my needs, and I had a strong recommendation for another company from a competitor that felt they couldn't do my job. I feel like I could have used All County if I were willing to work with them and if another option hadn't seemed like a better fit but I would have had to do more work to feel comfortable. If I were looking for estimates again I would certainly make sure I got a quote from them but I would also take extra time to make sure the person who made the appointment clearly understood what I needed.

I did not have any problems with them, I just went with some one else. The pricing was reasonable that they offered. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. I would call them again if needed.

First, they saved me a lot of money. Another company had told me that I needed to replace the air-conditioning system. All County thought the AC was worth fixing. They were right and the AC has worked for two more summers. So I spent a couple of hundred dollars instead of thousands. The replacement of the water heater had a few hitches but worked okay in the end. They had not included in the original estimate a part to regulate the water pressure which they only found out was needed after they had almost finished the work. However, they never charged me for the part or its installation because it was not in the original estimate. So it didn't cost me any extra money. Also, installation of the water heater was potentially problematic because it is in a small closet and access to it is blocked by the HVAC. The plumbing companies I called for estimates wanted to cut a hole in the wall to get access to the water heater. All-County was able to move part of the HVAC system (and then put it back after the installation was complete) so that they could get access through the already-existing door. Thus, the wall remained intact and I was spared the trouble of dealing with a big hole in the wall.

They were very punctual, polite and the system has performed very well. It wasn't until two years later that we learned, during a service call about a leak in the humidifier's water line, that the water valve had not been opened sufficiently during the original installation.

Our furnace went out and we were without heat in December. Called All County upon recommendation from a friend for a second estimate after already having one company in for an estimate. All County was prompt in returning our calls and coming out to look at our system. They offered to fix it rather than the more expensive replacement, but we decided to replace based on the age of the system. They came out the day before to de-construct and haul away our old units. All County worked 9 hours (until 7 P.M.) on the replacement in order to make sure we had heat that night. They install high quality products (Rheem, Ruud), and the service personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. They explained the features of our new system and thermostat, and worked with us to make sure the location of the thermostat was where we preferred, even though it was a lot more work. They did show up unannounced the next day to finish some loose ends - nobody was home to meet them so it required some scrambling on our part, but they waited until we could make it home to let them in. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend them to a friend.
