"Mrs. [Member Name Removed], It is always a pleasure working with you. Look forward to assisting with your handyman needs in the future. Have a blessed 2017 !"
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], Thank you for taking the time to place a review on our page for us. We really appreciate it. Have a wonderful year to come and we look forward to working with you again in the future! Ps. I believe my children and I saw you at the ice skating rink a couple weeks back."
"Thank you sir, It was a pleasure working with you and we look forward to assisting you in the future."
Mostly good. Painted exterior decorative trim when it was too cold so it didn't cure adequately. Also, the exterior trim was not primed prior to painting. Contractor said the trim was primed by the manufacturer....not true. A few months after the install, the trim started to bulge again at the bottom due to water penetration (this was supposed to be fixed) and paint started peeling off the trim. Since they weren't responsive to fix it the right way (sand, prime and repaint) In Nov of 2015 I spent $400 to have a painting contractor redo the priming and painting of the exterior trim....this contractor confirmed my suspicions that the trim was not primed at the manufacturer's plant and Adam contracting did not prime it. There were other minor issues with door fit, gaps that had to be sealed due to inadequate door alignment, etc. So he got the job done in a timely manner, but not as well as I would have liked. His price was competitive with others and less than some, so I guess you get what you pay for.
"Unfortunately this is not accurate information. The company that the particular door came from is called REEB and they do not offer any exterior doors that are not primed. The options are vinyl clad, aluminum clad and primed pine. I informed the client that the middle of winter when there was snow on the ground was not a good time to be applying exterior paint and that we would not be able to warrant it. He needed it done. The door was installed perfectly level as well as plumb. The home owner was not in the area so the tenant was in between our communications which is never the best situation. We strive for excellence and our reviews back that up over the last 5 years. We have won the super service award 5 years in a row and plan to continue with that trend as the years go on. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day !"
two separate rooms with a french door. Justin was prompt with an
estimate and the work was done on time. The wall was built, the french
doors installed and everything painted properly. There was an issue with
the placement of the doorknobs (due to the uneven floors in the house)
and Justin came by a few days later and corrected the problem. We were
very satisfied with the work and we are likely to use this contractor
again in the future.
"Thank you for your feedback sir, We really appreciate when our clients take the time to place a review regarding there experience. We know how valuable your time is. We look forward to working with you in the future!"
This bath was a lot of labor since there was not a rough in. Other contractors complained about having to drill the concrete up along the entire basement floor. Justin's plumber was able to come in and easily locate another line underground that eliminated so much drilling. They cut the wall and framed out a door at the base of the stairs, relocated the water heater, installed then rough in, added a vent, outlet, lights, vanity, toilet, and full standing shower.
We had a hang up with the vanity (due to another business, NOT Justin's) which hung up the timeline- this whole time Justin and his team were VERY patient waiting for the vanity to be built.
Justin also worked with me to find ways to save money along the way, while still providing the best product. The price did not include tile or fixtures- these I bought separately through Floor and Decor, Home Depot, and Lowes.
This was the first time I had hired a contractor for such a large project, and I would definitely use this company again. I have actually already scheduled a second job with them.

,Contacted Adam Contracting LLC third week in September for estimate on replacing front door with the same type of front door with weather stripping that will hold up--no air leaks. He got back to me with estimate on the 26th, I questioned him if this was with glass as I have, he said no he would get back to me. One Oct 2, 2014 I signed contract for door etc for $1,625. Fifty percent was sent with the signing of the contract. Justin said it would take about two weeks for the door to come in.
I didn't hear from Justin in the two weeks but the third week of Oct he emailed me that the door company was back logged and it would take longer to come in. On Oct 27, I received an email that the door had arrived and he would like to come by to pick up the paint. Sunday, Nov, 2 Justin came by for the paint.
On Nov 10,2014 I received an email from Justin stating he could get us on the schedule for Friday, Nov 15 at 8 a.m. and to let him know. I emailed him asking did he mean Friday, Nov 14 or Sat, Nov 15? We scheduled for the 14th at 8 a.m.
The guys were here for 5 hours and when they were done I made sure no gaps with air coming through. I did not at that time check the entire door for dents as I was not expecting that. We had an appointment, I paid the remaining balance--the guys left, we left. Saturday morning I came downstairs and saw a dent on the inside front door. I immediately emailed (Nov 15) Justin to say the guys did a great job installing the door ( no leaks) but that I found a dent on the top right inside of the door and asked him to please come by and check it out. His email on Nov 16, 2014 stated he would be happy to stop by and take a look and will contact me that week. On Nov 23 I emailed Justin asking about the dent in my brand new door and thought I would check with him again before I write my review on Angies List, as I had not heard from him.
He responded on the 24th that he had been and still was sick but could come by that evening, I replied that if he was sick it could wait until he was well. That same evening I got an email from him stating that he would be leaving on holiday the 25th and would be gone for a week and could he come over that night. Unfortunately he did not call me with the information, he emailed me that I did not get until after 6 p.m. too late to email him to come.
On Dec 9,2014 we received an email from Justin stating he would like to schedule repair the DING. He wrote how does Saturday December both at 8 a.m. sound? I emailed back, Thursday would work better for us . He responded Thursday the 16th didn't work for him. I responded Thursday is the 18th, Tuesday is the 16th , I had hoped for the 11th. I also stated it might just be easier getting me a new door as I was not sure how bondo will look. I paid a lot for a door that is being patched. I told him I would have company coming for Christmas from 25-31st and would like it done before they came. I needed this fixed.
His reply implied he was doing me a favor coming out and checking the door and implied I dented the door and he had no obligation to fix it and that he had my email saying what a great job his guys did. I responded I also had the email and if he read the second paragraph I told him about the dent in the door. He was not able to get us on his schedule in December.
On Thursday, January 8, 2015 I received an email asking how does Friday between 8 and 9 sound? I didn't receive the email until late so we scheduled the work to be done Saturday, January 17, 2015. The repair was completed on January 17, 2015, two months after the door was installed. Will I ever use Adam Contracting again, No. I don't need the grief.
"Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your feedback, We look forward to working with you on further projects."
The rake board had a few more issues in that we had a "miss communication" regarding what we actually wanted done. We had asked them to repair the rake board but it turned out the board itself was rotted. It unfortunately took two attempts to get it taken care of properly. Fortunately the resolution to the issue was quite good and we were happy with the end result.
"Thank you for your feedback, We where hired to "repair" the rotted wood on the rake molding of the home. We completed that and informed the homeowner the first day onsite that it was in bad shape and needed to be repaced (which was un able to be determined from the ground) . We went ahead and repaced the piece and painted it again. I am gad that we where able to take care of the job for you and that you are pleased with our service. Thank you for your business and have a wonderful weekend !"
"Thank you so much, It was a absolute pleasure working with you and we look forward to assisting you in the future. Have a wonderful 2015 !!"
