Justin's quotes were lower than others. Work began and finished on time and very happy with results. Some minor problems arose, but Justin was able to fix them (lighting problems with existing fixture, not up to code, existing tile was mounted on dry board). He met me at Home Depot to select out the tile I wanted in the hall bath. He used his truck and trailer to bring home all the supplies. I couldn't believe how fast the work went, especially on the hall bath. He has a very good tile guy he works with.
Description of Work: Justin and his crew pretty much deconstructed a master bath and upstairs hall bath and remodeled. For the master bath, the cost was $2,425 and the following was contracted: Remove the existing tub and tile in, create a new shower curb, supply and install a new Moen diverter, supply and install all new tile on the new shower floor and walls, remove and replace the drywall ceiling in the master bathroom. Price did not include the price of the shower doors, but did include installation. For the hall bath, the cost was $2,750 and the following was contracted: * Remove and reset the existing toilet after tile * Remove and replace the tub * Remove and replace the tub surround and vynlr floor with durock * Supply and install new tile in the tubsurround and floor (up to ceiling) * Supply install and seal all grout * Install a new vanity top and re install faucet * Supply and install a new brushed nickel diverter Except for the vanity top and faucet, Justin supplied all the other materials including the tub.

Contractor showed up on time, put down drop cloth, removed old vanity and carefully carried it down stairs to truck. Installed new vanity and cleaned up after. True professional.
Description of Work: I am extremely happy with the performance and quality of their services. I had bought a new vanity and needed the old one ripped out and replaced with the new one. The contractor was on time and professional. He was careful and neat and paid attention to what he was doing while moving tools and vanity up the stairs. I will use them again if we decide to update our other bathroom. Highly recommended. I will pass this companies information on to friends and family.

We had a roof leak and we needed to have the ceiling fixed and repainted. We also wanted to get recess lights in the kitchen, because our kitchen lighting was terrible. I contacted Justin and he responded immediately. I have a desk job and I spend most of my day in front of the computer and the best way to communicate for me was through email. I was very happy with Justin's fast responses on all my emails. I didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes to get an answer to my question. The work was scheduled for the day hurricane Sandy hit the east coast and I thought we would have to reschedule (and I would have to take another day off work), but he called in the morning to confirm and the guys came promptly around 7:30 - 8am. They got all the work, but the painting, done before lunch. Since it was raining that morning I was worried about our carpet, but they did a great job covering all the pathways and keeping them clean. Everything went really smooth. About a week later the painter came and finished the job. Very well done! A week ago I contacted Justin again, because one of the lights was blinking and the electrician came today to check it out. It was a manufacturer's defect on the unit that was installed. He fixed it and now it works great. I will definitely use Adam contracting in the future!

The entire crew was professional, courteous and friendly. Furniture that was not removed from the room was covered and at the end of both days, they cleaned up after work. Their completed work looks very nice and there is no sign that they were even here - a testament to the quality of their efforts. The job took one and a half days from start to finish. This is the second time I have used Adam Contracting - the first time for a small painting job - and again my conclusion is I will use them again when necessary.
Description of Work: During a brief storm in September, a tree fell on our roof. Besides the roof damage that was repaired by a roofing company, there was water damage inside the house as well. Part of the master bedroom ceiling became water damaged and needed to be ripped out. New insulation had to replace the wet insulation that was removed earlier. New ceiling needed to be installed where the damage occurred and painted. Since this was an insurance claim, Justin and his crew also repainted the entire room - ceiling, walls and trim - as stipulated in the insurance company's write-up.

My french doors were crooked and leaked in cold air. I had tried to put in weather stripping myself but it did not solve the problem. I asked Justin initially to come in and fix the existing doors and stop the leaks. Justin gave me a free estimate for the service and showed up on time to do the work. Unfortunately the problem could not be corrected with the existing doors so I had to buy new doors. I purchased the new doors and set up a new installation date to have them put in. The 2 gentlemen who performed the new door installation arrived early and were very nice and courteous. The installation was completed to my satisfaction. They cleaned up after themselves and even hauled the old doors away for me! The cost was $525 for each of the 2 visits for a total of $1050.00 (not including the cost of the door).
Description of Work: The initial work was to fix doors the leaked cold air into the house. The door to the garage was fixed perfectly however the french doors leading to my deck could not be fixed. According to Justin, the only remedy for them was installation of new doors. The doors were replaced about a week later and work perfectly!

Their quotes were on the higher side, so we decided to go with someone else. They were pretty professional and they came on time. They came around the time they promised. The quote was fairly well done. We didn't go with them because someone else came up with a better quote and more detailed quote.

From the beginning, I knew that Justin LeBlanc was knowledgeable and professional. He set up a time for an estimate at a time when I could be there, and he was neatly dressed and ready to take notes. After a good walk-through of the situation, he said he would get back to me in a day or two with an estimate based on the laundry list we had agreed on. He did, and I have to say that the estimate was reasonable and competitive. What impressed me was his professionalism, willingness to listen, and ability to respond to questions in a way that showed me he had been in the business a while and knew what he was doing (he eventually told me he had worked for his father's company for a number of years). I sent in my 50% deposit and got on the calendar to start work. After one schedule delay day and one rain day, he and a teammate showed up bright and early and got right to work. They were neat and careful, and they didn't mind me asking questions along the way. They replaced all the wood trim around the windows, up the corners, and at the top of the front of the house, and their painter had all that painted by Day 2. However, also on Day 2 they discovered while taking trim down around the garage entrance that a load-bearing beam had sustained a good amount of termite damage. This required another estimate for a separate task (replacing that beam and rebuilding the entrance to the garage) that took place a week later when it fit into his schedule, but one that came with improvements to the garage entrance that oddly, the builder and/or previous owners didn't include (like insulation in the front-facing wall on either side of the garage entrance, and stripping around the garage door that keeps air from leaking through). He even installed a new outside light by the garage for me. He would have put the old one back up, but we agreed the one I picked out was much nicer. And it is! When unexpected things like termite damage pop up, it's easy to understand how schedules can slip a day. It was nothing in my book compared to the expertly skilled service, communication, and humor Justin and his team brought to the job. I believe the worth of the improvement in my home's structure and appearance is greater than what I spent, and I have found a contractor I WILL bring back to my home for other projects. I've given his cards to a handful of people already, and a few neighbors have come by to comment on the work as well. On a side note, as he was preparing the estimate for the unexpected garage work, Justin let me know that he finally got one of those credit card swipers for his smart phone. That was a relief to hear, as I was not financially prepared for that surprise. He swiped the card, I signed the screen, and a receipt showed up in my email inbox. Nice! Thanks, guys! I hope to see you again soon for the next tasks on my list!
Description of Work: Replaced and painted the wood trim on the outside of my townhome, including around windows, corners to the top, and rakes alongside the roof. They also discovered termite damage in a load-bearing beam over my garage, and eventually rebuilt the entrance to my garage on-the-fly, making improvements along the way.

Overall the above described job was excellent in every way and I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Adam Contracting under the supervision of Justin  Leblanc responded to my call immediately and came to my house the same day. Justin was professional and knowledgeable. He gave me a price cut for doing two bedrooms at the same time as it saved the crew and equipment from returning later. The job was to take down wall paper in both rooms and prepare the walls for painting Each room was to receive two coats of paint and more if needed, all trip, ceiling, closets. It is not an easy task with wall paper! Not many painters will do wall paper today. They were here promptly at 8 AM and stayed a full day with a short lunch break. I was amazed with the record time in completing the job and an excellent job. In addition I also contracted for three bookcases to be painted for an additional fee. The bookcases had to be primed in order to paint them and took extra time. Randolph was the primary painter and was very professional, pleasant and hard working. I am very pleased with the two completed rooms, in a short time and would highly recommend this comp

First and foremost you can not go into a project such as this without having a collaborative relationship with the Contractor. My husband and I are 60+ and with all the work we did to get the house ready for this project we learned a lot, Our primary role was to get all materials needed by Justin and his crew to get the job done. We brought the bamboo flooring, moulding, bathroom materials (vanity/mirror, tub, tile, grout, tank/commode, shower door), handrail/stairs, lights for top/bottom of the stairs and Justin got the paint, nails for the flooring, plaster and drywall. Justin picked up materials from Home Depot as needed and went with me to get some of the materials to be sure it was correct. Justin created the work plan, we provided the key products. Justin has a crew that worked long hours to get the prep work done for the painting. Taking down the popcorn ceiling made enough dust to have created its own dust storm. What a mess...LOL! The painter came one Saturday for painting. The young man (Ariel) doing the flooring worked from 8am to 7pm on specific days. This young man did an amazing job with the floors both hardwood and tile. What a work ethic he has! Justin was always onsite each morning at 7am to make sure the crew had their assignments to complete the project and at the end of each work day progress was obvious. No day passed without seeing visible progress. They always cleaned up after themselves and took stuff to the dump to keep the site clear. Since both my husband and I were out of the house during the day we had to leave the crew. The trust with Justin and his crew created a situation that was both successful and non-intimidating. Frustrations existed but were managed. If issues come up they were addressed immediately; Justin made it easy to work this project. One lesson we learned is to ask more questions and to be more specific. Certain tasks were discussed but not written down; lesson learned. Gotta keep a to do list!! This is a collaborate effort so it not fair to expect the Contactor to know what you are thinking. Remember its your home! We had an issue with the tank/commode and did not clearly understand the problem; took several days to get a water leak corrected. Justin's plumber was onsite twice, a visit to Home Depot and a second opinion finally resolved the issue. Justin creates a work process that creates results. The attention to the bigger picture allowed the project to get done. Some days the vision was not so clear to us but the end product was a success.
Description of Work: On 05 August 2012 yes a Sunday morning I awoke to water coming from the living room ceiling and into the living room ruining the hardwood floor and living room ceiling. The hubby was gone camping and here I am stressed to the limits trying to deal with this DIY disaster. After calling the hubby and stopping the water from pouring on my head I contacted the insurance company. A plumber was called to fix the plumbing issue. A simple issue with the vanity in the bathroom in the 3rd floor caused a lot of damage and stress. This was nothing in comparison to attempting to find a contractor to help fix the problem. I have heard the horror stories and watched enough DIY TV shows (hubby is an electrician) to know how frustrating getting someone you can trust to get the job done. After much research we contacted Adam Contracting and brought Justin out for an estimate. There was the original living room floor and ceiling repairs and while we were at it we had the 3 bedrooms on the 3rd floor redone as well. Tasks for this project Popcorn ceiling had to be removed Wall paper had to be removed from one bedroom & walls cleaned up Patch/plaster the dings in the walls Drywall replaced in the living room ceiling & plastered Painted 4 rooms, 4 closets, hall, stairwell & bathroom Hardwood floor in the living room Hardwood flooring on the 3rd floor in all rooms, hallway and closets Upgrades in the bathroom (tile in shower surround and floor, tub, shower door, vanity/mirror, commode tank and bowl) Wall moulding and shoe moulding all around Upgrade to stair railing and spindles Upgrade to recess lighting and lights at the top/bottom on stairs

Justin did a great job for me on several projects. I initially contacted him to hang a cabinet that I had already assembled but was unable to hang on the wall properly. He and his assistant came and did a professional job installing the cabinet in less than an hour. That same day, I asked him to give me an estimate to hang shelves and assemble a bench. I booked him for the job and he did a professional job on those items as well. He was punctual, professional, responsive and pleasant. I have already recommended him to friends and family and expect to use him for future home projects.

Overall, the entire experience was a huge success. The price came in almost $2K less than our next closest quote, and that included all of the extra materials and a few of the unforeseen workarounds that popped up. Justin was excellent about communicating with us, either via phone call, text or e-mail. When prices of materials or the amount of labor involved changed based on the project, the guys were very upfront with us and willing to work as fairly as possible between what it would cost them and the original price that was quoted. Having worked construction for a few years after high school, I can appreciate the flexibility that the guys at Adam's Contracting showed in this respect. The workers that showed up at the house were always professional, cleaned up after each and every work day, we able to work on weekends when necessary, and Eddie even worked through a very painful injury suffered on a different job to get our bathroom done by our deadline. I would recommend Adam's Contracting, and especially working with Justin and Eddie, to anyone looking for very reasonably priced, high quality work anywhere in their house. I take a giant amount of pride in my home, in all of the additions that I've made, and in the overall state and cleanliness of the house. The guys at Adam's understood that right from the word go! Based on my interaction, conversations and experiences with several other contractors and specialists, I can honestly say that the employees of Adam's Contracting are truly the best I have ever dealt with. You won't find a better value or quality product for your money!
Description of Work: Justin and Eddie did a large amount of work on a very large basement bathroom (approx. 95 sq. ft.). It was completely unfinished and uninspected. Not only did they run all of the supply lines, they chipped up a good portion of the foundation to relocate the waste lines to accommodate the extra large shower and new location of the bathroom sink and lavatory. They also helped me run the waste and supply lines for a wet bar that I had built in the basement. The original lines I ran did not take into account the long run to the waste trunk line and the necessary pitch needed on the pipe. Eddie worked it out so that I did not have to elevate the wet bar sink or un-mount the wet bar from the wall, saving a lot of extra work and headache. The guys hung, mudded and taped all of the drywall, relocated a couple of outlet boxes, ran a vent fan, and advised on the location of the rest of the fixtures. One huge area of assistance was in their advice about getting the job permitted by the county. On Justin's suggestion, I went and got the building permit, the electrical permit, the mechanical permit and the plumbing permit all at the same time. Since most of the other work in the basement was done, it made a whole lot of sense to get everything inspected all at the same time, saving a lot of headache and extra inspection scheduling. The shower was a pretty big endeavor as it was a unique diamond shape requiring 2 kneewalls, recessed soap/shampoo shelves, multiple showerheads and controls, and 2 one-of-a-kind recessed foot shelves so that the lady of the house could more easily shave her legs. A fact that is lost on most of us men, but a very important element in the construction of an amazing shower. I asked for some custom tile work, and after a small misunderstanding as to the pattern of the tile and location of design, the work was done very, very well and we couldn't have been more pleased.

Justin and his team were supposed to come over to my house to replace my front entry door starting at 12:00 noon. After waiting for over a week for this appointment, he called at 11:18am and left me a voicemail canceling the appointment due to the heat. It is 95* out and even though it is hot, he should have known better to look at the weather forecast. The weather forecast has been published ALL week long on various websites, TV stations and radios. There is no reason why we got a cancelation at the very last minute. Him and his team would have been in an air conditioned house with fans blowing on them so it's not like they were on top of the roof doing that type of labor. Plus, the part of the house they would have been working on is the shaded part. My husband took the whole day off of work in order to be there for the repairs. Justin wasted our time and our money (taking time off)! He offered to reschedule for tomorrow (which is a 70% chance of precipitation). If he can't adjust to weather conditions or read a forecast and let customers know a head of time, then he is in the wrong line of business.

Justin did as good as he could to match the existing stair rail. His craftsmanship / work was excellent, but finishing (covering nail holes - using wood filler) was average. His overall quality was an A- / B+. Considering I provided the balusters, I felt the total material and labor cost for this type of project was a bit high. I did what I could to save money (did painting myself) AND I saved over $100 on his estimate by buying and installing the 8 foot hand rail myself. He cleaned up afterwards nicely and he is a very polite individual.
Description of Work: Project was to install a stair handrail, balusters, and newell post. The replacement railing was approximately 4 feet in length with 7 balusters. The objective was to best match an existing stair rail.

It went great! Very happy. They came to my house when they said they would. They were polite. Let us know when they were breaking for lunch. Very good experience.
Description of Work: Our HOA had written us up for outside violations on our townhouse. We needed the exterior painted, wood nailed down in both the front and back areas. Justin came out, gave us an estimate. When my husband & I chose him for our contractor, he came out, along with 2 more people. They were polite, diligent, and we are very happy with the job he did. I'm now thinking of having the wallpaper removed in my front powder room and have the room painted. And I'm seriously considering Justin and his company to help me out with that.

Sorry you feel that way member, however $ 600.00 is not a high price when material cost for your job added up to $350.00 and the labor to install an exhaust fan in your attic along with diagnosing and correcting electrical issues in your kitchen created by another contractor was only $ 250.00. I have a A rank on angies list and have full intentions on keeping it that way, sometimes some people just can not be pleased. Thank you for your feedback

He scheduled the work right away. The work was completed in 2 days time and both days he arrived right on time. The work was completed quickly and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Adam Contracting and would use again in the future.
Description of Work: I had several items completed by Adam Contracting: back gate to fence was repaired to open and close properly, an outside light fixture was checked and fixed, drywall repair completed in son's bedroom closet and in the living room ceiling (the bedroom closet and ceiling were both painted), the carpet and padding was replaced both in my son's bedroom and in a downstairs rec room, all the smoke detectors were checked and some had new batteries replaced.

Everything went very well. The only item I rated a "B" was punctuality, but this was with his electrician, whom he had sub-contracted with. I believe that Adam Contracting has a new electrician and resolved this issue.
Description of Work: Adam contracting finished a lower level room for me. They performed all the work to include electrical, framing, drywall. Justin is very professional and works with you to make sure you are satisfied. I recommended his company to a very good friend and they used him to finish their entire lower level. I would definitely use him again!

Adam Contracting was timely and always kept me informed of when work would be performed. The repair and painting look great. The bushes were not disturbed and the site was cleaned up. I was very pleased with every aspect of the work, and would definitely hire Adam Contracting again.
Description of Work: Adam Contracting replaced rotted wood trim above my windows in the front of my house. The outside wood was extremely rotted. The wood was hard to reach because of the bushes in the front of the house. The repair had to be reprinted to match the rest of the house.

They were very good and did good work. They finished pretty quickly and cleaned up. They were late than they said they would be a couple of times, but it wasn’t really big deal. Their professionalism was very good.
Description of Work: I used the services of Adam Contracting LLC.
