I wish more people would use them versus the commercial guys who charge too much. They do great work. Trust me, you will be happy with them.
Description of Work: The service fee above is a monthly fee for yard work. Venson's landscaping cuts my grass, edge, mulch and trim bushes. I have been with them since 2008. They are very competitive and do great work.

It not only grieves me to have to leave this review but it shocks me as well. The co-owner, Henry (so he claimed to be), knew we were going to be out of the country for an extended length of time, as a result of coming to our house and doing an estimate for us. The agreement was that the yard was to be mowed every 10 days unless it did not rain-then don't come out, our pasture was to be mowed and the hedges/bushes were to be manicured with debris being removed. We were never sent any statements until I requested them on 6/19/2014. We paid them in full upon receipt, electronically. One of the statements, dated 6/18/2014, mysteriously, was for the hedges and clean up--$95.00, the other for mowing the yard. When we arrived back home (they didn't know we were coming back) on 6/24/2014, lo and behold nothing had been trimmed at all. It was a mess. We had family coming the very next day. I promptly emailed Venson's asking when our next lawn appointment was and Izamar Martinez told us it would be that Thursday or Friday and they had been coming every week (not the every 10 days or not at all if it doesn't rain, as originally discussed). I continued to press on about the trimming, asking pointed questions, thus giving him/her the opportunity to tell the truth. He/She confirmed three times that the hedges were indeed trimmed and cleaned up. When they arrived on Thursday to cut the yard I spoke with the 2 workers. They said that they would relay the message, as it was Henry that did hedges and bushes. When I got back to the house, later that day, I noticed that a very little trimming had been quickly done (emphasis on little). It was not at all what was discussed. We petitioned our bank for a return of the money and it was granted. UPDATE: We were told that Mr. Venson was gone when this all took place. Their lawn cutting was as good or better than anyone else we've had. UPDATE TO THE UPDATE (10/14/14): Statements continued to arrive for the work that was not done, with an additional, random charge, but when we asked for an explanation....there wasn't one. Mr. Venson continued to call in an attempted demand for a sit down, face to face meeting. He wants this review taken down and we have that in a recorded message. The response to our initial review, listed here, makes absolutely no sense, except to unsuccessfully try to explain away the utter lack of professionalism. There are 7 falsehoods listed here. We have attempted to communicate to you that we travel a great deal and are not in Richmond, often. This is just 1 of the issues we have, utter confusion and lack of communication. *=their quote with our rebuttal here: *” We have been trying to make an appointment to settle the situation with you, but it seems as if you’re so busy it's almost impossible. Yet, the only thing happening so far, are emails back and forth, only filled with more and more questions and confusions”: Untrue in that emails are not going back in forth in any measure of communication…just us asking clarification, for charges, to which you refuse to answer. No back and forth whatsoever. (1) *”We did not know that you were unsatisfied until we read your first review, here on Angie's List”: untrue…read on (2) * “If you would've said so”: You are saying we didn’t….Read the next response (3) *”In the email you did not say that you were doubtful about the trimming done”: I quizzed you 3 times about the trimming that we paid for. You insisted it was done…3 times. We complained to your workers that showed up here and they went straight to Henry. If you weren’t informed about that then it’s on you. (4) * “So you both could have gone over the work once more, due to a perhaps misunderstanding”: Sending a statement to be paid to a customer for work was never done is NOT a misunderstanding...again you billed us for work not done, you insisted it was, we bring it up to your workers, they go to Henry and he scrambles to do something as an evident (and horrible) cya, after the fact and we get charged the full amount (5) *”Also, you say the trimming was indeed not done, yet it was done”: We paid for trimming that was found to be NOT done a week later. Again, after YOU stated 3 times that it was. Who pays for work not done? What company does that to its customers? Only a very horrid and quick attempt was done after we complained to try and quiet us (6) *”We never received any payments from you, not even for the grass cuts”: this is a bold falsehood and our bank has stated they will investigate this accusation (7) * “The only thing happening so far, are emails back and forth, only filled with more and more questions and confusions”: you refuse to answer our questions and the confusion is coming from you as you won’t even read our emails that ask for an explanation.. . * “Your business is very important to us, and very much appreciated”: and how could that be if we haven’t paid you, as you have accused? Izamar…I sent you VERY detailed emails with dates, questions, comments (cc’d to my attorney). And again…no response. Why? You did not find it important to read that email, evidently, for whatever reason. So quite frankly, the lack of communication and “confusions” is on you and it would appear that you are the common thread here.
Description of Work: A statement, for work completed (trimming & cleaning up), was sent to us. Upon our arrival 6 days later, we saw that that work was indeed not done.

The yard has never looked so good! I have about 4 acres in grass, 'broken into yards'. I asked for and received a price for each area. Some areas did not need cutting every week. Venson was very flexible on when and where to cut. My John Deere was in the shop and in the summer, there is always a wait for repairs on such equipment. With all the rain, the grass was really growing fast. I called Venson Landscaping after reading about them on Angie's list. The response was quick. They came by every week like clockwork to cut and trim. The trimming was a real challenge. There are so many trees, bushes, landscaping lights, fences, etc to trim around but it was done very neatly and thoroughly. I will need them again in November for cutting and leave removal. After surgery I won't be able to ride a mover for some time. Thanks Venson Landscaping!

I have used Benson's Landscaping since 2009 for weekly lawn maintenance, they cut my grass weekly, maintain hedges, maintains mulch. I find them to be professional, punctual, and gentlemen in every regard. They have always done very good work for me. I feel their pricing is significantly less than other than I have researched in past years. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great lawn care services and landscaping.
