The company I had come out first quoted a very high price for what I needed to have done. Mark came out and gave me a straight-forward quote that saved me a ton of money. I felt like he told me what really needed to be done and didn't inflate the scope and cost of the project like the first company. He did a great job and got us up and running quickly. It was so refreshing to work with someone that was honest and didn't take advantage of our situation.

I contacted Mark early July 2014 because my water pressure had decreased drastically. He came out within 2 days, pulled out the pump. He told me it had burned out and I needed a new pump. On July 16, he installed a new well pump. A few weeks later, I contacted Mark because the water continued to have a foul taste and odor even though I had changed the water filter. He told me he would come out and pour chlorine in the well. He came out after a few calls and a text on September 9 reminding him to put chlorine in the well. He returned about a week after that and poured chlorine in the well. Later I noticed that they had not secured the well cap. They had put 2 screws with clamps where there had been 6 bolts and the seal ring was also broken and part of it was on the ground. I contacted him on September 30, by text because his voice mail was full. He responded by text on October 1 and told me that he would come by that evening. He did not come nor call. I texted him again on October 6. He called and explained that they had used what was on the truck at the time they replaced the pump to secure the well cap. He informed me that he could use a silicone sealer to seal the well cap. I explained that that would be the same as gluing it to the well and I wanted the gasket and bolts replaced. He stated that he didn't know where he could find the type of gasket that was previously on the well. I told him I would research and purchase it. He contacted me a couple of days later and I told him I had ordered it and it would arrive soon. He called me on October 15th and asked if the part had arrived. I told him it had and he said he would come out soon. He called on October 21and came that day and replaced the seal (that I purchased - he reimbursed me) and the bolts. He apologized for putting me off so long and explained that it was due to work related issues and personnel.

Mark was very warm, polite, and professional. He answers his own phone and was able to come over that same afternoon. Everyone else had someone answering calls and booked through the week. His rates were based on time spent doing the work plus materials and still half of what every one else was quoting me. No extra fee for showing up like everyone else seems to do. He disclosed up front what it would take to do the job which was pretty simple for an experienced plumber but still, a great quality. He was respectful of my home and while waiting to see if any leaks appeared he did a full clean up. It's good to know a plumber like him local to Goochland. Don't let the shorts and t-shirt fool you. If you prefer someone in uniform with a name tag over the pocket, there are plenty of companies willing to charge you twice the rate for it.

Used substandard parts and sub contracted jjob overcharged.

Mark was very friendly and professional. He verified the appointment the day before and called the morning of the appointment to verify the address at the time he said he would. He charged what he had quoted and offered helpful information about the plumbing products in my home. I will definitely use his services again.

The work was done steadily over the course of about ten days with courtesy, flexibility, neatness and high quality.

We had some problems with our water hydrant leaking. The ground around the hydrant was saturated with water. We contacted several people on Angie's list to see if we could get someone to come and take a look at the issue. One person said they would call Wednesday or Thursday and would come out Friday. They never called back. One person said they could come the middle of the week. Mark called us twice on Friday and was here as promised at 9 AM this morning. There was no shut off so the only way we had to turn off the leaky valve was to turn off the water to the whole house. Mark dug up the hydrant, which was not installed correctly to begin with, relaced the hydrant along with adding more gravel to the drain area, and installed a shutoff to the hydrant so if in the future we have a problem we will not lose the water to the whole house. Mark was very pleasant and was here as promised. We would definately contact him in the future if we have a plumbing problem.

Mark was GREAT! He fit me in at the last minute this morning, and came by to see why I was having issues with fluctuating water pressure. I had used another plumber who came out on the 28th of June and replaced the tank under my house (to the tune of $500). When our water pressure kept fluctuating (although not as badly), I called the first plumber back. They came out, checked the tank under the house and told me I probably needed a new pump for my well (which costs around $2K), and gave me the name of someone to call. A neighbor recommended calling Mark instead and I'm so glad I did! He said the pressure switch just hadn't been adjusted correctly, took care of it in just a few minutes and said the pump, while small for the well, looked fine. WOW! He was so pleasant and professional, and I just so appreciated him coming out in the morning before his other appointments. You can bet I will be calling him back FIRST for ANY plumbing needs I may have. Thank you Mark!

We lost most of our water pressure on Christmas morning. When I called that morning, they actually answered the phone on Christmas! They gave me some suggestions to get through the day and showed up at 8:20 the next morning. They knew exactly where the problem was within minutes and did a great job getting the leak fixed.

Although the area had just been hit by a hurricane, Mark showed up on time and prepared to complete the repairs as promised. Excellent customer service, repairs completed promptly, no callbacks needed. Mark also made excellent suggestions on how to not just correct the problems, but to prevent them in the future.
