The owner Butch was the inspector. He set up our apointment in just a few days, offered convenient timesfor us and he was early, profeshional and very thorough. He did his inspection, did not seem to mind if I taged along or not, then walked us back around both house and property. He answered all questions and gave advice on several things for safety. We feel that he saved us money. He provides a very nice written up report and it comes in a nice binder that we will use as we have things done over time around the home. He also helped us find a roofer who was WONDERFUL! Butch knows the area and even shared info on some of the unique historical facts related to our future property and the area. It turned out that we did in fact buy the home. We feel confident going into this home built in the 70's. He comes very highly recommended. There are several different home inspectors in the area and I can speak neither for or against them. What I can say is with Southern Home Services you will get a good and honest person who has the old fassioned "pride in a job well done" ethic of days gone bye.

Our realtor recommended Butch (the awesome inspector) for our home inspection. As first time home buyers, we were nervous about finding a good inspector especially since our dream home happens to be a foreclosure. A family member of mine had had a horrible time with a home inspection and was cleared when months later, her and her husband found a thousand things wrong with their home that the inspector didn't pick up on! Needless to say, we were a little freaked out! Our inspection was nothing like this! We were told to arrive at 9am and were happy to see that Butch had already begun the inspection with our realtor by his side. We knew a normal inspection would take 3 to 4 hours, but Butch took his time and was extremely thorough. He took us step by step good or bad about the things we should address with our home now and in the future. He gave us great advice on the upkeep of the house and 5 hours later . . . yes five hours . . . he gave us two thumbs up. He made the whole experience light and cheerful with his great sense of humor, but he was professional and is just overall a great person. He even has a coupon on his website that he was more than happy to apply to our inspection fee! I trust him fully and am so thrilled with his thoroughness and the time he took out of his busy schedule to look over our home. He is the type of person that does things right the first time and will inspect your home as if it were his own. Thanks Butch!
