Description of Work: This is the second time we have contracted with Jr Sisk. They took out dead limbs and pruned and thinned 3 large trees that are over 40 feet. The removed a dead dogwood and pruned some dead limbs from a 33 year old lilac tree. They also bought and replaced 2 fence posts that were rotten. Jr. is always on the job but, even if he were not the crew all know what has to be done. Cleanup was thorough. Questions always answered honestly.

Description of Work: I have been using Jr. Sisk Tree Service for years and I highly recommend them. I've used them primarily for tree trimming and removal. Junior is very knowlegable and provides sound advice on tree care. Their work is excellent at very reasonable rates, and they are honest and reliable.

+ -1 moreI met Mr. Sisk while he was performing work in the neighborhood. I asked him for a bid. He gave me a fair bid which included additional stump grinding. He offered to do the work in a few days and I accepted the following day after verifying his licenses. They did the work timely; cleaned up well; and required little or no supervision.
Description of Work: Mr. Sisk removed a large dead tree and two smaller trees. In addition, he pruned a large oak. He ground out those stumps, as well as, seven other stumps from trees I had felled personally. He also left me the wood chips which I used around my wooded areas to inhibit poison ivy and wild rose. They did a great job.

+ -1 moreJr. Sisk always performs the work in a competent and safe manner and cleans up well. He advises us well and shows great flexibility in working with us and our budget constraints. The times we’ve required emergency service, his crews arrive promptly, no matter how bad the roads and weather. Although we’ve solicited bids from numerous other tree services, we’ve used Jr. Sisk Tree Service for over a decade and have never been disappointed. His rates are favorable and his work is excellent. But most important is the honesty, the experience, and the flexibility he exhibits. I can truthfully state that there is no better tree service available in the northern Virginia area. You might pay more but you won’t get a result and an experience that’s better than what Sisk provides.
Description of Work: Jr. Sisk performs an annual tree maintenance service for our homeowners association. This service entails walking the property with one of our board members, examining the health and growth of our numerous trees. The most important aspect is identifying dead or dying trees that may pose a threat were they to fall. Secondary is the identification of trees that should be trimmed to preserve property rights, sight lines, and the health and appearance of the trees. Sisk works with us to formulate a plan that fits within our budget. He then removes the identified trees and performs the necessary trimming, cleaning up all work areas. The work sometimes involves removing the stumps and spreading wood chips in selected areas. Sisk also provides an emergency services to remove any trees that may fall on their own due to excessive weather conditions. In addition, he advises us on how to best maintain our specimen trees and our wooded area.

+ -1 moreJr Sisk and his team have cared for trees in my yard several times. The price is always reasonable and the work is always top quality. Most recently, they pruned fruit trees and removed 2 large, dead trees in my back yard that were dangereously close to the house. When Jr came to see the work, he gave me a verbal estimate that day. He and his team came back within a week and did the pruning. At that time, they determined that the dead trees were too full of bees to take down. They sent a climber up to thoroughly spray the bee nests. They came back 3 days later to fell the trees. They were able to bring the trees down right where planned (avoiding the house, fences, and other trees). In one day, all debris was removed and the job completed. I'll continue to call Jr when I need tree work.

+ -1 moreHis people are very professional. There was no way to get a cherry picker to the tree, so he had guys climb up into the tree to take it down. When they were done with the job, everything was cleaned up very nicely. There was no mess. I have used him on other occasions. He understands the structure of a tree. He knows how to thin a tree the right way. He is very good and polite.
Description of Work: They removed a black walnut tree from a neighbor's yard that was spreading over my yard. I paid to have it removed. It was a large tree that was creating havoc with my yard.
