Description of Work: We vetted HVAC suppliers in the Madison County area before choosing Duct-Rite to install a Trane HVAC (heat pump) system to replace an aging propane furnace and a central, electrical AC. We chose Duct-Rite primarily because their price was very competitive. But the people who installed the system, Josh and his assistant, were also great. As far as we can tell (we aren't HVAC professionals)they did quality work. They certainly worked long hours in difficult conditions--an attic with well over 100 degree temperatures, and outside temperatures in the high 90s. Josh also explained what they were doing and why they were doing it very clearly during the installation process. Jayson, the supervisor, for this installation, has been very responsive also.

Description of Work: We requested bids from a few contractors to replace our 40 year-old natural gas furnace and our gas water heater. We also wanted to coordinate duck cleaning with the furnace replacement. We suspect that the ducts in our home had never been cleaned since the home was built in 1975. | |Through Lowes Home Improvement Center we were referred to Duct-rite Mechanical LLC as their preferred contractor. Jason from Duct-rite Mechanical LLC met with us and spent a considerable amount of time working with us explaining the process of removal of the old and installation of the new HVAC equipment. He also determined the specs for the proper HAVC equipment suitable for our home explaining the costs and benefits of a number of alternatives available. We were very pleased with our selection of Duct-rite Mechanical LLC. They did a superb job, performed the work on time and with the expected results. + 0 moreChecked out my HVAC. They have done work in the past and it was great. Really appreciated the work and effort to get it right. This time though the person I got, wasn't as professional and sort of told me that what my system did was as good as it was going to get. I had already got another opinion and they said the coolant pipe was sized wrong for the distance traveled. I asked the Ductrite guy about ti and he said it was fine. Well either the whole system is underpowered or he is wrong.so I give it a good over all based on past work, but lately I have heard they have gotten rid of all the great guys they had. Not sure why but it may be they were paying too much? No idea, but they used to be okay. lately it has been a and quot;cand quot; rating rather than the As they had before.
Description of Work: Checked out my HVAC as to why the heating wasn't working so well at all. Couldn't get enough heat and I was worried about cooling inthe summer.

+ -1 moreThe overall service went well; however, we asked for an estimate to install a new thermostat and ti took us a while to receive this estimate since the company had to mail it out and would not give it to us over the phone. They were very difficult to get a hold of and we ended up just purchasing the thermostat online and install our selves since we could not get one to call us back to schedule the install. For the overall maintenance they were running a special for this service of $90 but still send us an invoice for the full amount of the service $132.50
Description of Work: The provider came out to do some routine maintenance on a house that we had recently purchase. The house had been empty for over a year so our home inspector recommended that we would get this service done.

+ -1 moreBecause of a mis-communication, they showed up a day early. That was great! The team of three worked together, removing the old heat pump and installing the new one. They did so in a fast and efficient manner on a very hot day. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves, both outside and in the crawl space. The owner came by several days later to look at the install, and I pointed out a couple of things. By days end, those issues had been corrected. A couple of weeks later, I had an additional question, and called and left a message. However, that phone call was not returned.
Description of Work: Installed replacement heat pump and whole-house humidifier, improved duct work to two rooms.

+ 0 moreThey were referred to us by Element Construction, and they were excellent in everything. They were extraordinarily good, because it took a little bit of adjusting to get it right, and they had to come back a couple of times to adjust the dampers until it was absolutely right, the way we wanted it. They didn't charge extra for the adjustments, it was all part of the original contract. They really worked hard to make sure the customer was happy with the finished product. I would refer their services to anyone.
Description of Work: We were having problems with our heating system, the heat was not coming through evenly throughout the house, so Duct-Rite Mechanical LLC installed a new duct, and a new vent in the bathroom.

I was extremely pleased with their service, especially when they came back twice to adjust the dampers with out an additional charge. We were very impressed with their services, was will definitely use them again.
