If I could just rate some of the service technicians I would rate them higher and would recommend that they find a new ethical company to work for! We purchased our unit seven years ago. We had gotten a quote several months prior to purchasing our unit and when we purchased there was a sale that was $500 cheaper then the quote. They had us sign the quote sheet acknowledging installation which had ten year parts and one year labor warranty which we did not pay attention to since it was an old quote. However, the invoice we received had the correct amount that I paid and listed 10 year parts and labor warranty which now they don't want to honor. An attorney I consulted said the invoice would stand up in small claims court which I am now considering. It's just ashamed people don't have ethical business practices. I would encourage anyone looking for a new unit or service for existing systems to look elsewhere!!!!!
Description of Work: Air conditioning was not working. Called for service call, holiday fees. Told that the blower motor was bad. Part was under warranty but labor would be $600 and some dollars.

I was treated horribly by this place as have many people in Lynchburg, just go ask around, especially businesses. They tried to charge me $1700 to repair my 5 year old unit (10 year warranty) that they installed for me. another company is now performing the repairs under warranty. every time I have had an issue with my unit, which has been yearly now, it is such a hassle to get it done and them not try to charge me. if your warranty claim gets denied, call the warranty company and ask them what they were told, we did and it was NOT the same thing they told me. I never write reviews but I hate being lied to and taken advantage of, it is very disrespectful and yet for every review i leave they respond in defense but not once apologized or tried to be helpful in anyway.

I've been a customer of Wooldridge for years and have never been disappointed. This time was no different. They are always timely, professional and thorough. Greg pointed out a small problem and was willing to wait while my husband ran to Ace Hardware to get what was needed so we could save money. We are very satisfied with the knowledge and customer service that Wooldridge provides!

Zack was super Professional and clean, he was fantastic at explaining the unit to me and things to look for in the future as to when it may require service. We are first time home owners and I am so grateful for the time and knowledge Zack was able to share with me. He performed a tune up showing me pictures of what all he did. I originally had a serviceman from Wooldridge Heating, Air, and Electric to evaluate our noisy, wobbling ceiling fan. It took a 12 ft. step ladder to reach, which I'm not able to do myself, anymore. Once it was determined that the motor was going bad in the fan, I asked them to return and replace it with a new one we bought. They two workers sent were prompt, polite, and very efficient. They had the old fan down and the new one in place in less than an hour. That included transferring a remote control receiver into the new fan canopy. They even took away the old defective fan. Very good service and at a very reasonable cost.

No follow up by service personnel so they have lost my business now and in the future. I have two condos with aging HVAC systems that will need replacing some day in the not too far future. Oh well...

I called to have someone out to look at my ac unit, and was told it would cost $89 just to come and look then an hourly charge after that. They do offer free estimates if you are buying a new unit only and spending thousands. Cheryl answered the phone and sounded like I was bothering her and asked for my information in a very monitone voice, only after finding out about the charge was she finally pleasent when I told her no thanks, then she was sacastically pleasent. Will not be using them ever.....

The technician spent 3 times as long as he should have. Put a new condenser on the unit outside and told me the air handler that they had installed less than 5 years ago was so rusted he couldn't clean it. Tried like a use car salesman to convince me the entire system, 8 year old heat pump, and 5 year old air handler needed to be replaced soon. Obviously they needed work. Now, I don't trust these guys.

Fantastic. Would have loved to have had it done in one day, but that's not reasonable. Very professional and did a great job ensuring no mess left behind. Took the time to explain the reason for the failure, took pictures of the failed system and the areas of failure, the different options available to me to fix the problem, how to evaluate efficiency of a system and what system was recommended.
Description of Work: 28 Aug 17 - performed yearly checkup and noticed a system with problems. Technician did an outstanding job explaining what he was doing, Cleaning systems, unblocking drains, fantastic job of cleaning up after himself. On the spot generated a work proposal to replace both failing systems. Picked the option to replace one at a time. Took the time to explain the different systems that could be installed, what was missing from the current system (currently have electric heat strips as the sole heating source versus the new system installed actually would provide heat and have electric heat strips as an emergency backup versus sole method of heating). 5-6 Sep 17 - Two very professional workers removed the old system and installed the new system. Followed through with ensuring the system worked properly and provided a packet of the copy of the invoice, all the paperwork for the systems installed, instructions for the thermostat. Great job.

Service man arrived promptly. Quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced a contactor ($25.00 item) and replaced a capacitor ( a $15.00 item). This work took about 30 minutes. Charged $478.00. I think this was extreme overcharge.

They were on time and kept me informed in all decisions about light location/position. They had to heat up attic flooring and put it back. You can't even tell they did anything to it.
Description of Work: Replaced 4 lights above kitchen island with 2 new lights. Rewire the ceiling from below attic floors.
