+ -1 moreThey are very efficient. The staff who come in cover their feet and they do not mess up the floor or other things. They do everything in a timely manner. Before they leave, they go over the work they have done. Their price has always been great. They are very good company. They are wonderful people.
Description of Work: We have a maintenance plan with Wooldridge Heating, Air & Electrical, Inc. They come out and check all the equipment to make sure everything is okay. They usually do this once in the winter and once in the summer. We have been using them for 10 years now. I last used their services on January 20, 2012.

+ -1 moreWe called them this morning and they came out. He immediately found the problem and fixed it. He was very courteous and they have always done a great job for us. We have a contract with them, they come every six months and check the system. They have done great with that as well. He did it today. He found the problem within ten minutes. He spent another 20 minutes with us explaining how we could fix the problem next time, so we wouldn't have to call. He also did an overall inspection on the furnace. It's working perfectly. They are all very professional and very good. People couldn't go wrong with him. We called them the morning at 8:00 and he got here at 1:30 or so. They told us that they had 10 service calls and they would add us to the list and they asked if that would be ok? And they said it would be this afternoon. So we knew it was going to be half a day or so.
Description of Work: Our furnace went off and its like 24 degrees out. he found the problem and fixed it.

+ -1 moreThey are good and I have no problem with them. They work around whatever schedule I give them. The people that come out are very nice. They do a thorough job. I pay a service contract of $175 for a year. They do what they are supposed to do and if I ask them anything else then they are glad to do it or tell me about it. If anytime they were going to be late, they call and inform that they would be late. They are very punctual.
Description of Work: I use Wooldridge Heating, Air and Electrical for heating and air. They do my air-conditioner twice a year. They would be coming this Saturday. The last time they were here was in April as they come every six months.

+ -1 moreOur heating unit went out so we called Wooldridge to inspect. Let us know the compressor was bad and that it would be over $2000 to replace and that with the age of our unit it might be time to look into a new one. Their salesman came out and gave us a very good quote and then told us about Virginina offering rebates for installing high efficency units and walked us through how to apply. The service techs were very polite and efficent and got the install done on time with no issues. I came home from work and would not have known they were even in the house the place was spotless. I would recommend Wooldridge to anyone who asks for an HVAC contractor in the Lynchburg area. Thanks so much

+ -1 moreIt was a pleasure to work with Wooldridge and specifically Melvin. There was some minor miscommunication with respect to scheduling; however, that may have just been an email issue. Melvin coordinated pulling a permit, line marking, AEP trenching in a new service line and final inspection. I have hired other local contractors and would rate Wooldridge among the best - would highly recommend them for electrical work.
Description of Work: Relocated meter base and disconnect to outside of new addition.

Description of Work: Wooldridge is, hands down, one of the best companies I've ever had the pleasure to do business with. I purchased a brand new single family home in Cornerstone about 8 months ago and found out that my central a/c unit was improperly installed which resulted in (a) a flood in my attic, (b) ceiling leaks in my master bedroom, and (c) the unit just completely shutting down due to improperly installed wiring. It was a disaster. I don't know how the original HVAC contractor who installed the unit can look himself in the mirror. Wooldridge completely reinstalled everything, correcting a multitude of code violations along the way. I was incredibly impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, skillset and manners. And the estimate I received was exactly what I paid. In addition to saving my a/c unit, when I found out they also have licensed electricians at the company, I had them relocate my a/c thermostat and install two new duplex electrical outlets in my kitchen area. They also installed a new breaker in the circuit breaker panel to power the new outlets.

+ 0 moreThey are well known in this area. I think they also offer electrical work, but I haven't needed them for that. They have special programs to do periodic reviews of the heating and A/C system. They work on weekends if you need them. They also have some discounted programs if you pay an annual fee. I think they are very trustworthy. They do things the way they're supposed to be done. I haven't had to have any major repairs, but the price has been reasonable for the work I've had them do.

+ -1 moreWoke up during the night to the sound of my A/C compressor locking up every minute or so. Called Wooldridge at 8:30 and technician arrived around 11:30. Diagnosed the frozen compressor and after me saying to do so, called to have one of the "comfort consultants" come and give an estimate of the cost. After looking at my system and doing some calculations, he gave me a printed out estimate for replacing the A/C heat pump, air handler, and thermostat. I got another estimate later that day from a handyman good 'ol boy type. Decided to go with Wooldridge since it had a longer guarantee and was only $700 more. Arranged for the installation three days later. Installers arrived promptly at 8:30, wore shoe coverings when walking through the house, and did an excellent job installing the unit. Entire job was done by 3:30pm. Hate that my old system went out, but glad to have a super efficient unit now.
Description of Work: Diagnosed faulty compressor, replaced A/C Heat Pump, Air Handler, and thermostat.

We never have any problems with Wooldridge. The company also calls following service to ask how it went. Very professional service!
Description of Work: We have used Wooldridge for several years for service on our heating and air conditioning. We buy an annual service contract for about $130 that includes two check ups per year, one for our furnace and the other for the heat pump, although they check both in the spring. They also check our thermostat and humidifier. They are very professional and don't try to upsell us a lot of other products, although they do let us know if there is something else they might do for us.
