Sullivan answered the phone even before their business hours. They were not available for six days, but were very nice and gave me the names of three other plumbers to try. Because they list that they offer emergency services, I thought that six days was a long time. Otherwise, my brief contact with them was very good and they were professional.

Perfect! Plumber Bill was on time and called before coming, as I requested. Perfect job, so happy. Bill is to be commended for not making unnecessary repair recommendations. Specifically when he explained that if a water shut off valve or bath faucet wicks or drips slow water after being turned on or off from years of lack of use, he can at no charge simply and quickly tighten the fixture' packing down in seconds ensuring a perfect right water seal, rather than making me feel guilty and fearful if I didn't replace the fixtures which was unnecessary. I know other plumbers in other homes I've owned that I've met in past experiences who aren't so honorable. What a great honest guy! There were 3 faucet repairs that were more involved which I gladly wanted done. Plus he deftly crawled under our kitchen crawl space to run that new water line for tomorrow's ice maker, something I could never do. A huge plus for me is quick job assessment, and you pay for the exact job done, not time and materials. And your initial trip charge is credited back to you with labor completed, unlike some Lynchburg close plumbing competitors I spoke with this morning. Bottom line: job done fair and square. And I really like Bill's no-bull demeanor. Wish every contractor I hire was honest and straight-shooting just like Bill is.

Thomas and his staff are all incredibly professional and punctual in a profession where such is rare. I no longer use Sullivan Plumbing due to a cordial disagreement, but I still highly recommend he and his firm.

He was here right on time, finished the job quickly and well, and even replaced the washer on the hot faucet as well, even though we were only having issues with the cold. Great job, will definitely use in the future for any plumbing needs, and would certainly recommend to others! Plus, their prices are much cheaper than any other plumbing company I contacted in Lynchburg.

Could not have expected anything as good as what I received. Shawn called on his way and arrived on time. We discussed options of repair vs. replacement of the outside spigot. Decided it was a no brainer to replace it and not have any further concern. Shawn gave me a rough estimate of cost and time. His workmanship was exceptional. He explained exactly what he was doing at each step. In the end he added a connection that would allow me to perform additional work if the pipe ever froze again. I absolutely will recommend Sullivan plumbing to anyone who asks, and will use them in the future if ever needed.

The service technician arrived promptly as scheduled. I explained the problem and the proposed resolution proposed by another company which was to replace the entire main water line at a significant expense from the meter to the house. Shawn, the Sullivan technician, was able to locate the leak in the line within minutes. Shawn was able to repair the line which had appeared to had been previously repaired with inadequate parts by replacing the bad parts with proper ones. He did all this work while it was raining outside which made the job even more difficult. Shawn also pointed out several basic maintainence issues which I could easily address my self such as tightening the nut on a shutoff valve should it be leaking, etc. in the end I ended up saving a considerable amount of money over the other proposed solution to my problem which of course I was very thankful. I was very impressed and pleased with their responsiveness to my problem and would definitely recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues.

Thomas was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to come very quickly and arrived even sooner than promised. He tightened a loose part, and then replaced a part to completely fix my leaky faucet. Then I remembered the drain was slow, and he willingly cleaned that out for no extra charge. Plus, he changed the timer on the hot water to work according to my preferences. He even explained to me how it worked! I have nothing but praise for Sullivan Plumbing Express! This is the second time I've used them, and they are awesome.

We wanted to replace our old model toilet with a high efficiency model. Sullivan recommended new model choices, removed the old toilet and installed the new one we selected in an existing tile floor bathroom. We were concerned that our tiling might be damaged and were delighted with his attention to detail. He was very careful around the toilet base to preserve the existing tiling. The toilet looks great; we are pleased with the high efficiency model. Mr. Sullivan also cleaned out a slow basement drain and went the extra step of getting on the roof to assure the toilet vent stack was clear. He was good about explaining possible causes of the backup and gave practical suggestions to keep the drain clear in the future. We would hire Sullivan again as a first choice for home plumbing repair and replacement work.

Fine. Sullivan is very professional, very competent in what they do. The only comment I had was the expense of the services, especially with Job 2. In the case of Job 2, the owner Mr. Sullivan was not available to help me with the problem at the time, and he was very accommodating in sending out another plumber who seemed to me to be very competent and conscientious. One part of his job had to be delayed for Mr. Sullivan to address in a follow up visit: this was a matter of hooking up a gas hose to gas logs and the difficulty had to do in part with loose bricks in the chimney. I think Sullivan is well worth the costs they charge if you can afford it. My budget is perhaps a little tight to afford the services. I wasn't able to complete Job 2 because of the expense required for the follow up visit. As I mentioned, that's probably my problem with my limited budget for this plumbing job.

It was great. They do a nice job. It was a reasonable price. They are local. They are timely in returning calls and scheduling the service.

Thomas showed up promptly and explained everything in great detail. He provided me with an estimate and started the work. It took about 2.5 hours to finish the job. He cleaned up after the job and gave me an estimate on a future job. I strongly recommend him to anyone needing a plumber!
