Description of Work: Cleaned out my gutters, thoroughly and relatively quickly -- maybe 45 minutes. I was apprehensive before they arrived because I was using a new service provider. But I was relaxed and satisfied within 15 minutes. They quickly got to work.

Description of Work: I wrote you earlier that the people who came out here were not the people I originally hired, the Angie people were located in Virginia. They jobbed it to a local company. They did an okay job, but to get the whole house done cost me another $100.00.

Response from Leaf Relief Gutter Cleaning
We were delighted to help this customer get her gutters cleaned and allow her the protection from overflowing gutters and possible property damage. Leaf Relief has two locations under one company like many other companies that are in multiple locations. The home office is in Virginia but it is locally run in Winston-Salem by the owner. Just as with most other companies, employees of the company go out to do the work under the owner's supervision. In relation to the coupon, it clearly states that the coupon covers the first 150 linear feet and the fee beyond that is $1.50 per linear foot. This was created by Angie's List and I have little control over their valuation and stipulations. We offer other coupons that might have been better in the customer's estimation. I understand that many customers do not know the linear feet of their gutters, but Leaf Relief will honestly measure and communicate this to the customer when the work is done, which is of course, verifiable. I am not sure why she scored us low on communication and professionalism. I responded to her purchase the same day and we did the work the next morning after her purchase. She purchased it from this company and this company did the work. It was done professionally and on time. In relation to professionalism, I think her beef is with Angie's List who created the coupon and gave it the valuation to which she is objecting. I am sorry that she does not plan to hire us again. She has a 2500 square foot house that has over 200 linear feet of gutter and she paid less than $200 total instead of $250+. That seems to me like a good deal. I am sorry to hear her opinions and plan to call the customer to explain the situation.

Description of Work: [provider was given dates to come to house to do the gutter clean- i had expressed i wanted to be there- they came on another day instead- i found a bill in the mailbox stating how to pay even though i had bought the service thru angies list- the day they came i walked around the house and found no evidence they had been there- no leaves in trashcan or any found on the ground around the house- i assume they had only come to size the job up- i assumed they would come on the date I HAD stated i wanted and they did not- no phone call or any commnication- the weather was bad that date so i set up another date online thru angies list when I WOULD BE THERE- they came but stated the job had already been done on the date THEY chose to come- when i asked why i found no evidence of the job being done they gentleman who spoke a little english did not seem to have a pausible answer- PROVDED they had put the ladder up and i did climb the ladder at 2 spots and the gutters where empty - i dont know if they gutters did not need cleaning and i paid for nothing- IF THAT IS the case then that is my bad decison to buy the service- these folks may do good work but if you hire them i would be VERY CLEAR that they come when you decide - I was not comfortable they came on my property on a date they were not authorized to come knowing i wont be there

Response from Leaf Relief Gutter Cleaning
Leaf Relief schedules hundreds of gutter cleanings per year in two states. Every once in a while a mistake is made because we are human. In this case the request was for Sept. 22 and it was mistakenly placed on Sept. 23. Not realizing this, when the customer contacted us, we scheduled it a second time for Oct. 6. Thus the confusion. That was the bad news. The good news was that the customer's gutters were cleaned properly. There was very little debris in the gutters, thus none was to be found after clean up. Most customers appreciate not seeing the debris after cleanup and we would never place organic debris in the trash cans. Customers generally know when they need gutter cleaning because of visible debris, low flow out of the downspouts or overflowing gutters. Occasionally we find a gutter with little or no debris. We usually lower the price or offer a credit. In this case, we will gladly return to clean the gutters after the fall foliage comes down using the current coupon on a day of her choosing. Although I think an F rating is a little harsh due to the fact that the gutters were cleaned for the customer, I won't ask her to change her opinion until after we show her that we will do our best to earn her respect.
