Handy House Cleaning

Wonderful she was good and did an excellent job.

Didn’t go...professional did not show up. Service plan was canceled.

My sister-in-law had been hospitalized and very ill so she was unable to clean her home. We used Handy to try and help her out. They cancelled the morning of, not only ONCE but TWICE!!! Their response was because the cleaner they contracted to do the job cancelled at the last minute. I happened upon a review from one of their contractors they hire to do jobs and they were advising other contractors to NOT work for Handy because of bad business practices (not getting paid, excess fees, etc.) I reached out to them via email and asked them to call me as I did not want to discuss this over an email. I gave them the telephone number where I could be reached. They responded stating that most of their customer service is done via email but if we still wanted to talk on the phone they could call, but it might be awhile. I told them I most definitely wanted a phone call, and gave them the number again. They called a completely different number, even after I had given them the correct number. My husband spoke with them and they told him that they had no control of the schedule since they contract workers to do the jobs. So, if someone cancels there's nothing they can do about it. They just keep rescheduling your cleaning, assuming a contractor is going to pick up the job posting before your service is to be performed. So you basically schedule a service, pay them ahead of time, and then it's a roll of the dice to see if someone actually picks up the job. There's absolutely NO GUARANTEE that you're going to get the service on the date and time requested. Before my husband got off of the phone they did initiate the refund. My husband called White Glove Cleaning and they drove out to her house that very same day to give us a quote. If contractors are warning other contractors about taking jobs with Handy that speaks volumes about the company.

The work was never performed. Paid in advance on three occasions appointment was cancelled at the last minute. This caused a delay of over a week in being able to show condo to potential buyers. Company finally cancelled and promised to refund money, however haven't see results of that yet,

I have been given 3 appointments for cleaning and twice I have received a text stating that “Due to a last minute call off we had to reschedule....”. This past Monday the text stated “ your Handy booking has been cancelled due to and emergency with your professional”. My credit card had been charged BEFORE the first appointment and I am now waiting to see if I receive a credit from Handy. I thought at the beginning of this escapade that it was too good to be true and it turns out it was.

He was willing to come as soon as next day and did. I was very grateful.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the worked. Everything was very well done.
