Very disappointed with this company.....have called a competitor....

 + -1 moreWe were very pleased with them. We were pleased with the price on that and how quickly they did the job. It was a very large job in my estimation, and they did a very good job very quickly. They explained everything to me, so that I could understand everything. They wanted to make sure that we understood everything that was going on. I thought it was a very good price. I could not actually say anything about the effectiveness of the treatment because I don't know whether it did or did not work at this point because I really can't say. I can't evaluate it; I haven't had any more holes in the wall. But I have not been able to evaluate it; it will probably take years before I can tell whether or not the treatment works. I definitely would recommend them.
Description of Work: They drilled holes every sixteen inches around the perimeter of this entire house and injected their chemical into it; that's a lot of drilling. They were spraying for termites.

 + -1 moreBoth the inspector/estimator and the service professional were very knowledgable, friendly, and able to answer all my questions. One minor issue was handled quickly without any problems. I feel assured that the job was completed correctly and that Dodson stands behind their work. All appointments were met on time and as promised.
Description of Work: Dodson provided a free termite inspection, none were found, and a free estimate for a termite booster treatment. The large footprint house was built in 2004 and had not been treated since. I opted to go with the booster treatment and signed up for their annual inspection program that offers free retreatment if termites are found. Full perimeter in ground treatment was performed, with treatment for brick front and rear porch done via the crawl space so as to not have to drill into the brick flooring.

The technician name was David and I couldn't have asked for a more professional job. Well pleased. I also signed up for their pest control service. I would definitely recommend them and I'm picky.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. The inspection did reveal wood destroying inspects. Dodson promptly followed up with an estimate for the cost to treat the problem.
Description of Work: Mike at Dodson came to inspect a home I was trying to purchase. He was very prompt about answering my calls and or returning my calls. He was very prompt about getting out the property to do an inspection and presenting my with the results of the inspection. Although the purchase of the home did I not go through, I would have used the Dodson's to either get rid of known pests and or contracted for yearly service.

Description of Work: An employee of Dobson's came out to my house to perform an inspection for termites. Though he said my house had come up clean, I decided to go ahead with the treatment just to play it safe. The cost was more expensive than I thought it would be (over $900). However having heard that Dobson's was great, I decided to buy their service nonetheless. Each year customers are notified that in order to be covered under the company's warranty, they must pay for another inspection costing $90.00. After such an expensive initial cost one would thing that the annual inspection would be covered and that a retreatment would be offered at a reduced rate or free. Once again, I am not knowledgeable about the policies and costs of other exterminators, so Dobson's methods and rates might be fairly routine.

 + -1 moreRob was the technician and he did a fine job. He is very conscientious and careful in his work. I have had a lot of experience with him. He has treated my house for termites in the past and had installed improved crawlspace vents two years ago. He always does a quality job. I also thought that the price was reasonable. I have been very pleased with Dodson Brothers.
Description of Work: "Borate treatment" of the wood in the crawlspace under my house to destroy the wood fungi that was growing there due to the moisture level. The technician sprayed all the wood joists and beams with a solution. He then laid plastic over the floor of the crawlspace, which just consists of gravel over bare dirt, leaving enough uncovered along the walls and around the footings for evaporation near the crawlspace vents.

Description of Work: Dodson sent HJ out to do a free inspection. HJ was on time, very polite, professional, and helpful. I was a little afraid that the inspection would result in a "false positive", but he was very honest about what he was finding, and even took the time to educate me on what to look for. As it turned out, we do not have the problem that we asked to have checked out. And it didn't cost us a dime to find out. I checked "yes" to the "Did the company/individaul perform services" because he did - the inspection was very thorough, and I felt confident with the clean "bill of health" he gave.

I was using another company, and every year they increased their prices, so I decided to give Dodson a try. Their termite pricing is good. I have been with Dodson a long time, and there have been "occasions", but overall I would say A for their responsiveness. I'll continue to use them in the future.

I used to use them at my old house too, and they are always very polite, seemed to be very professional and understand what they are doing. I would continue to use them in the future.

I haven't seen any termites around so I guess they were successful. Every year they have a $95 inspection. I found the price pretty high but I don't know how much these things cost. It was a hefty amount; it was expensive.
