Description of Work: David Canada and one of his guys ran electric cable from our house to a workshop in the backyard for lights and outlets. All the work went very smoothly. They arrived 30 minutes early, ready to work. They did minimal damage in my flower beds, even giving me time to rescue some of my favorite plants from the trench for the wiring. I asked for an extra light switch for the outside of the workshop and they din't even flinch... just said sure thing, and installed it. When the work was done they asked us to inspect it before they left. Everything was picked up and left neat as they way they found it.

+ -1 moreThe house had electric bills over $120 per month when no one was living there and the thermostat was set very low. It's a small house. A plumber had advised us that maybe the electrical current was and quot;going to groundand quot; to cause the bill to be so high. Mr. Canada said we should talk with the power company because there wasn't anything for him to do to resolve it. He was right- we got the bill way down without him. He could have come to the house and pretended to do something to charge a fee (as many service people will) but he was honest. We would call him when we need an electrician in the future.
Description of Work: The owner listened to the details of the problem we had and gave his advice that under the circumstances there wasn't anything that could be fixed by an electrician. We needed to call someone else.

Description of Work: Dave and his crew corrected several deficient wiring problems by rewiring my water heater with proper gauge wire, rewiring and grounding the bathroom outlet on a separate circuit, hooking up a grounded receptical for the washer, replacing a three-way switch, adding a outlet under the service panel, relocating the dryer receptical, and removing a old electric baseboard heater.

Although he only installed an outlet, it's clear that any work he would do would be very well done. And, in my opinion, his charges are eminently reasonable.

They worked efficiently to get the electrical service upgrade done as quickly as possible so we were without power for only a few hours. I was extremely happy with the quality of their work, their pricing, and their ability to finish in one day. They also cleaned up everything very nicely. They have great customer service and were easy to schedule for an estimate and for getting the work done. Their estimate was also the most reasonable of the three estimates I received for this work. I highly recommend Canada Electric!
Description of Work: Canada Electric completed the following projects for us on 8/7/12 (list taken directly from our proposal):1. Update electrical which includes:-Supply and install new 200 amp 40 circuit Square D Breaker Box reusing existing breakers. -New meter base, 200 amp w/p enclosure with breaker beside new meter base. -Run new service entrance cable to top of house point of attachment. -Ground system according to local code. Mark panel after power is reconnected. -Supply city electrical permit and coordinate with inspections and AEP to disconnect and reconnect the same day that work begins. 2. Run 20 amp 110volt circuit to 2nd floor existing GFI receptacle. 3. Put all pullchain lights on existing switch. 5. Supply and install 70 CFM exhaust fan/vented/separate switch –Main Floor. 5. Check knob and tubing wiring in attic.(advise and quote if needs additional work). 6. Change Range hook-up to a plug-in.

+ -1 moreWe were very satisfied with the service. Mr Canada has always been professional and fair with his prices. Even during the last windstorm when so many people needed service he did not "jack up" his prices to take advantage of people in need. I would use his services again.
Description of Work: Reinstalled the electrical connesection from the pole to the house following a severe windstorm that tore the electrical connedtion from the house. He came out to the house the day after we called and provided the service on the day he said he would. He has been prompt,polite,professional and always pleasant.

+ -1 moreCanada Electric's electricians were polite and courteous.The work was done quickly and professionally. They were initially called out because the electric dryer was not working. They quickly diagnosed the faulty circuit breaker. Additional checks on the electrical panel identified two other circuit breakers that needed replacement. Not only did they identify and correct potential electrical problems and possible fire hazards, but they saved us the inconvenience and cost of having to bring them back again.
Description of Work: Canada Electric replaced a couple of 2 pole 30 amp breakers and a single pole 20 amp breaker. They also replaced a bathroom vent fan.
