Not well... He was attentive to phone calls but did mess up the first appointment and was on his way to my house one week early. On the day of the originally scheduled appointment (one week later) he was a no show and admitted to "messing up" when I called him. He was punctual and called ahead on the day he finally arrived for service. He came in and dumped his stuff all over my kitchen counters without consulting with me first as to the best location to place his stuff. He asked for towels to protect my floor but did a poor job in keeping things dry with the five towels I gave him until I mentioned something. I had to provide the "ladies blow dryer" that he requested to melt the ice in the ice receptacle. He wanted something faxed to my house for a picture of my refrigerator. I had to go up and down the stairs 3 times before he realized that it could not be faxed from his office. As things were going along and after taking everything apart and then placing it back together again, I asked him what he thought the problem was. He actually told me that he "could not discuss things until he was done with everything"; that he could "not do two things at one time". Wow! To me it just looked as if he was trying to increase the bill as he was perfectly capable of conversation regarding other things prior. When he finally was agreeable to speak with me about the diagnosis, he stated that he found what he originally thought was the problem to not be a problem at all. He stated if he did replace that part that there were "no guarantees" that it would fix the problem. From what I could get out of him, it seems that he is the only one working in this area of the company of a larger franchise but he was very cagey about discussing this. He is the only one that always answers the phone. He is a nice enough fellow, and I know that there is not always an answer to a problem, but when he put everything in my lap and stated that it was my decision as to how I wanted to fix the refrigerator, I lost all confidence at that moment. Bottom line. He could not and did not fix the problem, I was out 1hour and 30 minutes of my time as well as $220 with nothing to show for it. Too bad I did not join Angies List before I made this appointment. All of the evaluations unfortunately don't surprise me.

As part of full service move, our front loader washer and dryer were supposed to be professionally moved and re-installed. I did take the opportunity to buy pedestals, and so that was agreed not to be part of the contract- fair, any cost related to installing pedestals would be additional cost. I managed to get units on pedestals, but needed some help balancing and then hooking up. The service man only hooked up the washer, and pretty much shrugged his shoulders about the rest of the job stating "yeah, that's going to be a problem." He told me the parts I would need, wrote a bill to the company, and was on his way. Thankfully, I didn't have to pay him directly but the job is still not done. Now I will have to go through further hoops with the moving company to hire someone competent.

We own a natural gas stove. The manufacturer scheduled this guy to come. He called us within hours of me speaking to the manufacturer so he was responsive to them. He scheduled a service call for this morning and as he walked up to the door we realized he was a serviceman we had already decided never to call again. The last time he came here (probably ten years ago) he quoted $400+ to fix our refrigerator (which turned out to be a broken icemaker) and charged us over $100 for the call and the estimate. A neighbor and I fixed the problem for less than $25. This time he looked at our stove, walked outdoors to call a parts place (said we had bad cell reception despite the fact we have a cell tower less than 100 yards from our house) and when he came back he looked under the oven, said he couldn't read our identification label which he then apparently rubbed out and peeled off. My wife had read the numbers off less than 24 hours before so I know they were clear then. I read the numbers to him from our own e-mail to Jenn-Aire (which my wife had called out to me) and he looked at the numbers on his work order from them and said, "Hmmm, they gave me the wrong number." If he already had the number (he came with it), why was he looking under the machine to see what the number is? That is the extent of any work he did. He damaged our identity sticker and removed it, called for a part cost and gave us a price to repair of $846. I said we'd have to get back to him, paid his $130 trip fee and then got on the phone to Jenn-Aire. The parts cost to fix this stove (from Jenn-Aire) is $248. He quoted $460 (plus shipping) for the part. It was going to cost another $130 to get him here so we would be paying approximately $508 for repair, but there was another $340 in his quote for something. I personally don't believe he would ever fix it. In fact I think his business model is to charge $130 to appear and then quote an extremely high price to repair, which the customer refuses to pay. Eventually he'd run out of customers but with big companies sending him to do their repairs, the customer doesn't realize who is coming. We will never call him back to this house and after speaking to neighbors, many of our neighbors have had a similar experience. When my wife called him to complain he argued with her and eventually hung up on her but he had no intention of making things right. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau also.

Accurate Appliance Service Accurate Appliance Service, when he would fix things they would work, but he was always rude. We had him out to repair a clothers dryer and he literally told my wife off for using a certain clothes softener, and it tore her up and made her cry.

The experience was horrible. The repairman (don't know if he is the owner or a worker) was rude, condescending to my husband and overall unpleasant. He spent a few minutes looking at my washer and determined it was severely damaged. It would cost $600-800 for the replacement parts (don't know for sure, but since he didnt say - called me on phone at work - assuming that did not include labor) to repair. The best part was he determined all the issues he found were my fault, from abuse of the machine. I use the machine very little, use the correct detergent in the correct amounts and follow the manufacturers instructions on use. So imagine my surprise at this bit of information. Of course this meant that nothing was covered under my warranty and I would have to pay him directly. I told him no thank you for now and I would look at my options. My first thought was how sorry I was to have bought such a fancy washer and should have just stuck with a much less expensive regular washing machine. (still not convinced that would not have been a better idea) I thought I was going to have to buy a new washing machine. Thanks to a another very competent and I feel ethical company I did not have to do that. I would absolutely not reccomend this company to anyone and because they were the first company reccommended by Lowes, I won't ever use Lowes again either. I had their warrantly, trusted and expected them to know who they are sending out to their customers homes.
Description of Work: My brand new washing maching quit working. It would start and then stop. It was under warranty so called Lowes Warranty division to get a repairman. I was set up with Accurate Appliance. They set up a prompt appointment.

Upon the first visit, serviceman was told that a sock is in the washer. He dismissed my claim and continued to disassemble the machine. Finally he was unable to give a complete diagnosis without further disassembly, which he estimated would run over $300.00. With my reluctance, we decided to wait and think about our options. He charged us $159.00 for that visit, which DID NOT result in a repaired washing machine. After a day of thought, we called the serviceman again to discuss the sock that was clearly logded somewhere in the machine, as we were finding pieces of the sock. The same serviceman came back out to inspect the machine once again. This time, when he concentrated his search on the missing sock, he found it! The washing machince was in full working order after the removal of the sock! But he charged us an additional $135.00 for something he should have found on his FIRST visit. He was very unapproachable, and condensending. We paid the fees, but informed him that we would be reporting his incompetence to Angie's List.
