Description of Work: Serviced and opened inground pool.

Description of Work: After dealing with another pool installer that never completed the job and failed to install our pool per the manufacturer standards, we were on the look for another pool installer to help us out of this 4 month nightmare. One of the companies that we contacted was Uncle D's Pools & Spas in Luray, Virginia. The owners of the Uncle D's, Tammy & Darris Ritenour responded quickly and were sensitive to the situation that we were going through. They quickly found several items that were no installed correctly and pointed out many concerns that aligned with ours. The job consisted of digging our all around the pool to ensure that the cement collar was installed correctly, to see why the wet stairs were so out of level and the steel walls were bending. We found that the stairs were not installed correctly, missing support braces, improperly installed pool liner, and the cement collar was drastically below the manufactures recommendations. Mr Ritenour was quick to react and contacted the manufacture to discuss the problems that we saw and to come up with possible solutions. He also guided me through what needed to be done and who to contact on about going after the first pool contractor. Mr. Ritenour was on the site working everyday (including weekends) that he said he was going to be there through the whole project and was fabulous about keeping up informed about his schedule.

Description of Work: Uncle D's installed an in-ground pool, 38' x 18'. They handled all the contracting and sub-contracting except for the fence and some landscaping , which we did ourselves. This pool is a basic oval, but with 8' steps and a buddy seat. They basically finished the pool in 2 weeks, but it took us a week to get the pool fence installed. So, 3 1/2 weeks from start to finish.
