I bought a metal shop through Alans Factory Outlet and Carolina Carports was their supplier. Took 4 weeks from date of order to original install date. I received a phone call stating installation would be pushed out 1 day because of bad weather. Next day when the install crew showed up, they tell me they knew nothing about bad weather. They had an issue with their truck. Then the installers tell me they are going to have to charge me an extra $1000 to install my building because they did not know how they were getting the material to the concrete pad. I showed them the drive up from my driveway to the pad, they said they could not make it with a 30' trailer. How was I supposed to know they were showing up with a 30' trailer??? They parked at the top of the hill in my neighborhood, said they were afraid to come down the hill. Next they tell me that they can just drop off the material and I can figure out the installation. If you can drop off the material, what was the original issue coming down the hill? They took off and said sorry, you'll have to reschedule the install and that will be at least 2-4 more weeks. No, I'm not doing that, you screwed up this install with poor communication. I couldn't tell you how many people I had to deal with between Alan's and Carolina, but it was ridiculous. I took the pictures they requested beforehand. If they needed anything else from me, they should have asked. I paid for delivery and installation and now they're trying to nickel and dime me for more money. When I called both companies to discuss this, they both had the mentality of "sucks to be you, you'll have to pay what the installers want". Even their management stated there was nothing they could do. WHAT A JOKE BOTH OF THESE COMPANIES ARE!! DO NOT BOTHER WITH EITHER ONE.

It’s important to know that Alans is a retailer of Carolina Carports. Alans takes your order and pass you along to Carolina Carports for the product purchase and installation. Once you place your order and confirm installation, it’s important to know that Alans wants nothing more to do with you and will not offer any customer service moving forward. When you build your shed online, you have the option of having common-sized doors and windows installed, -OR- you can opt to have the same sizes framed out for you to install your own. We opted to have two windows and an entry door framed out so we could install matching doors and windows to those of our new home. After spending $850 on doors and windows in those sizes, they do not fit as they made the openings at the exact window/door size and wont allow them to fit. We're currently out $2100 for custom doors/windows and Alans is not willing to help remedy in any way.

I ordered online, easy, when the crew came to install, they were on time and done an excellent job. I am very happy with the results, I have already recommended this company to a couple of friends.

the assemblers were very polite and very efficient. They cleaned up the area and did everything in a very professional manner. Very satisfied with the product and assemblers.

The whole process went very good. I called them on the phone and ordered the carport just like I wanted. They sent me a copy of the contract. I signed on the internet and they sent me the plans for my wind resistance certified carport. I called them and paid my down payment. They called and set up a installation date and their installers showed up on that date and did a very good job. I had to have a building permit and the inspector passed the carport with no problems. I paid the balance of what I owed on the phone with my card and they emailed me a receipt. I have not had any problems with this company. I recommend them.

DO NOT PURCHASE a metal storage shed/garage from this company! Their sub-contractor (Carolina carports, INC) schedules and delivers the sheds and set it up as part of the cost. I placed my order on May 12, 2015 and the metal shed/garage finally was completed Sept 10, 2015! This company (Carolina carports, INC) will blow you off when it comes to scheduling/re-scheduling. They talk a good game with no results. They use every excuse in the book to re-schedule a delivery. If you want a metal shed/garage, recommend you stay with local businesses. This dealer is not reliable and has no respect for the customers. Alan's Factory Outlet needs to find another sub-contractor to fill their contracts because this one is giving them a bad reputation. Alan's Factory Outlet assisted as far as they could and returned my deposit which is basically a fee for his services.

I purchased the building from their on line store. About 3 weeks later they delivered the building and constructed in on site. The installers knew their job and did all the work in one day. The building looks good and I will use them again for a future carport.

Three workmen arrived at 7:am on the scheduled date and were gone by10:30. They knew what they were doing and assembled the pre-cut materials like an erector set. The carport was anchored into the ground to withstand hurricane winds. The materials are very good quality..
