After 3 attempts to repair our washer (our washer was only 3 year old) (clothes were wet not spinning out well..very wet) starting in Dec and up until Monday 2/5...(which was the 3rd attempt) it was still not fixed...they stated more parts had to be ordered so we were on attempt number 4.....clearly this was not working so after much frustration we decided to say stop we will eat it and get a new washer.....their company was assigned to us from Lowes warranty ....I think at this point it would go on and on and on.....the people were nice but clearly could not fix our washer.....I would not recommend them
Description of Work: They were on the 4th attempt to fix a problem with the clothes not spinning out correctly and were still very wet...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I purchased my dryer through Lowes w/ Warranty Protection. I requested service through that program and Fuller was very quick to accept the call however didn't get appt for over a week. They arrived on time but the technician was not friendly. Assuming the dryer vented to the back of the house, he abruptly YANKED open my sliding screen door - BREAKING the latch. Stated " I'm not paying for it " and then spent 10min looking at the dryer to tell me it wasn't his problem. A service receipt was left w/ a note stating the technician did in fact break my door. Upon contacting Fuller Appliance about the broken door, I was told ' we'll take care of it." I had the door replaced and sent Fuller the bill. After 5 emails and 4 calls - being told twice 'the check was in the mail', 3 months later I still haven't rec'd reimbursement. I have now contacted Lowes Warranty to handle the matter. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Description of Work: Dryer Service. Dryer wasn't venting properly.

Horrible Service: Unfortunately, ML Fuller was assigned to me for warranty work by LG Corporation. It took four trips for Fuller to repair my refrigerator as they do not stock many LG parts. After replacing my compressor and evaporator, the overworked, very tired Fuller technician forgot to plug in a connector for the refrigerator fan. This resulted in a non functioning refrigerator and a frozen/cracked water reservoir. It took two more visits for Fuller to resolve an issue that they caused. Since ML Fuller only employs one technician certified to work on sealed refrigerant units, there can be long delays before he can get to your house. I will never purchase another LG appliance again unless LG obtains a better authorized service center.

AVOID In early September, I called the warranty repair service on my dryer because it was not producing heat. The repairman shows up to assess my machine. The first guy was decent and cordial. He tells me that they will order the part and call me when it is in so they can reschedule an appointment to come back out and fix the machine. So, a week passes with no word, and my boys - and the high schooler's sports gear - are getting riper than stinky cheese on a hot summer's day... I call them and ask when they plan to finish my repair. I am told "uh, we have the part, but it isn't logged into our system, so once it is logged, we will call you to set up your appointment." Apparently, that takes four days. FOUR. Days. For a part you can get through Amazon PRIME in 2. So they call me 4 days later and set up the appointment. (I got the impression that they forgot to order the part in the first place) A different guy comes out to fix the machine with a bad attitude - seemed like I was inconveniencing him by having him come fix my machine.... I wrote it off to maybe he was having a bad day, and I was just glad my machine was fixed. And it was fixed. For a week... then, my daughter informs me that the dryer "clicked and now it isn't spinning." I call my warranty repair service again, thinking the machine must be crap (even though it's a Whirlpool, and highly rated/reviewed). The guy at the warranty place tells me that he worked on those machines for years before taking the phone job, and sometimes that happens when a repairman fixes a machine, the belt can "walk off" the thing that spins it. So, within 90 days, the repair company is to come out and fix it. The guy shows up yesterday (same guy that "fixed" my dryer a week ago) gets into my laundry room and tells me "since it is within 90 days, the warranty service isn't paying us to look at it, so it is a $40 fee." I say "No. It isn't. I have a warranty that I paid for, and you can make arrangements with them." He tells me "It is to cover our trip out here, and the time. We don't work for free." I told him that this was a warranty repair, and since he was the warranty repair person, I was not paying anything and they'd have to work it out with the company that they were contracted through. He said he'd have to call his office. I said please do. He went outside, called, came back in and told me that if the warranty service opened a new ticket and dispatched them, he could come back out. Of course, that means, waiting who knows how long until I get back on their schedule..... I said look, the warranty guy said sometimes when the machine is put back together if it's not just right the belt can walk off, and it should be a simple fix. He got very indignant and said "I put it back together right. I didn't take it apart form the front, I went in the back. It was a tiny fuse and a tiny screw." I don't care how he did it. He worked on my machine, then my machine stopped spinning.... And he REFUSED to even look at it without payment. I am convinced that they were trying to take advantage of me and the desperate need of a mother of 4 to be able to do laundry. I think most people would just pony up the $ to get the machine fixed, but my machine remains as broken as the character and integrity of this company and its representatives! The issue has been escalated through my warranty repair service and they are working on it, but in the meantime.... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

On July 23, 2018 Lowe’s retained Fullers appliance to fix my Samsung washer through their warranty repair service. On July 26 the song and dance began. The first technician they sent assessed that I needed a new hose. Oddly, this had to be ordered. Two weeks later the part arrived and they sent a technician. Oops. Wrong part. Since then, it’s been several calls, assurance from Fullers that the part was in, but needed to be verified. Calls to Lowe’s to complain. Calls to Fullers with a different story from Fullers each time. Fullers also assure you regularly that the are “on it” and will call you back. Sadly, they never do. It’s now the 16th of August. I called and said I wanted repaired TODAY. They said that’s not possible, as all of their technicians are out. Besides, they’re still checking in parts they said and haven’t seen mine yet. I asked if I could just come get the part, and have my husband put it on. They said I can but it would void the warranty. Really it’s sad. There doesn’t seem to be anything I can do. In the future, I will definitely demand a different appliance repair service for any warranty repair work.

Run! Very Far! This company is a joke! We have a service warranty from Lowes for our dishwasher. First of all don't buy Samsung products! They suck and the company could give two ***** if you have to set up a service request every month! 2nd - this company is horrible! The way they schedule is ridiculous! We have had to take off 4-5 times now to get this piece of crap fixed. Our most recent experience, the guy came out, two parts are broken, they need to order parts. 1 month later (without a dishwasher) they call set up an appointment to come out. The morning of, they call and tell me that they forgot to order a part! For one F**** month we have been without a dishwasher and your stupid *** forgot to order a part! I tell the person that this is a huge inconvenience and that I took off work today to get this fixed! They offer to have our service manager come out while we are at work if we leave a key. Umm...no! I will be there when someone comes to our home. Worst service ever! So now we have to wait another week for them to do their job correctly! What a joke!

After having a bad experience with another appliance repair outfit in the Fredericksburg, VA area, I called Fuller's Appliance Repair. They were very courteous on the phone and responded promptly with a visit to diagnose the problem despite the fact that I wasn't in their immediate area. There was a few weeks delay on getting backordered parts from the manufacturer, but that wasn't their doing. Henry, the technician who responded to do the repair was very knowledgable, friendly and courteous, took great care not to mar our counters and did a good job inspecting and cleaning up his work. I am pleased and won't hesitate to call them in the future should the need arise.

Description of Work: Evaluate dishwasher for repair. Had to wait a week for appointment. Fuller's repair person contacted the manufacturer directly to assist with the diagnosis. Fuller's correctly diagnosed the bad electronic board but manufacturer suggested that an additional door stabilizer was needed. I did not authorize that "fix" but when the repair estimate came in, they tried to add it and charge me for it. I scrapped the dishwasher as the evaluation and repair costs exceeded remaining value of the unit.

On 25 Aug , service call determined I needed a new door switch this after a wait of several days. After two inquiries as to when I could expect repair, I now find out that the part on order will be in today, maybe. If so, the earliest they can get to me is Sep 9th! I consider that as failed service.

There was a long wait time, almost a week to schedule an appointment. When the technician arrived, my oven was working but beeping incessantly. I had been turning it off at the breaker in between using it to keep it from beeping. The technician diagnosed that it needed a control pad and advised someone would call me once they got the part. When he left, the oven no longer heated, so I couldn't use it at all. I had to follow up twice to ask about the part at which time I was told that, as the oven is old, they could not source the part. I got on the internet with the part number and had it ordered within a few minutes. After ordering, I called to have the technician come back but was told that I needed to have the part in hand to schedule the appointment. I didn't want to wait as the delay for an original appointment had been almost a week. I overnighted the part, called the next day and was told it would be the next week to install. Today the technician arrived and installed the part. It took all of 2 minutes to install and check that it was heating, then he left with my $140 (in addition to the $75 charged to diagnose). Literally, 10 minutes after he left, the beeping returned. I immediately phoned the company and asked that he come back. I was told that they would call me back. Two hours later and still no call back, so I phoned them. It is Friday and now, I am again told next Tuesday before someone else can come out. I asked for and hope to receive my money back. The wait between appointments is too long and the amount charged for the 2 visits was too high AND I had to order the part myself. I still can't use the oven. I rated them a C on professionalism as the women answering the phone were courteous although often delayed returning my call. I would not use Fuller's again and would not recommend them.

Tech was very nice and explained that I would need a new door on my microwave. they where supposed to call me the next day with the cost of the part to see if I wanted them to go ahead and order it...Waited 2 days and never received a call so I call them. I was then told the amount of the part plus and additional charged for labor. This was on top of the initial cost of coming out. In most cases a company will subtract the cost of the service call from the final bill if you use their services not this company everything else is in addition to what you have already paid. I guess it they would have had to diagnosed a problem it would ok but it was a broken latch which I had informed them of and the tech did not have to do anymore than write down the model number. Should have quoted their pricing up front. Decided not to give them one more nickel and went with another company who were more than glad to treat me fairly.

A man came out on time the designated date and diagnosed the repair. He was on time in the time window estimate. He said it would be easiest on me if he took it to the shop, ordered the part, installed the part, and then brought it back to me. He said only two or three days probably. Well, after a few days.,I had to call and call to get an answer as to when I would get my microwave back ( Thanksgiving was coming). Finally, they came and brought two guys instead of one. They charged me more labor charges and for two men costing more by the hour. I said if one guy can take it away, why does it have to be two to bring it back and charge me additional for the extra guy. Also, why did it take so long to finally get my microwave back? I was not happy and will not use them again.

10 working days later I call Fuller's main office and speak to one of the customer service staff who had no record of my service call in their system. I explained the issue, what work the tech performed and explained the issue regarding the photos and she said she needed to check with her boss but would get back to me. 3 working days later, still no call from Fuller's so I contact them again and a rather disturbing chain of events unfolded. I again reminded the customer service person what the issue is and she initially said that she was not sure what the extended service warranty provider was going to do with the refrigerator. I again explained to her that what we first needed to do was determine what caused the stain on the back of the unit. She put me on hold and then came back and said that her boss (Mr. Fuller) said that it is my responsibility to send the photos directly the manufacturer and to deal with them directly. I then asked the customer service person to speak with her boss. Mr. Fuller was initially calm and firmly explained to me that it was my responsibility in this case to deal with the manufacturer despite what his technician told me. He further stated that stains are not covered by the extended warranty. I again reiterated to Mr. Fuller what his technician told me but he did not want to discuss it and said the tech was wrong for telling me he would send photos. He was neither apologetic nor conciliatory but rather defiant. He then went on to inform me the technician is in the hospital and cannot be reached even though I never suggested needing to reach the technician. I told Mr. Fuller that he should at least be aware of what his technicians were promising in the field and any promise from a tech is a promise from Fuller's as they are one and same to me. His attitude demonstrated to me that he could care less. Lastly, I did inform Mr. Fuller that I would be contacting Lowes as well as their extended warranty service provider to file a formal compliant against his company. His response was and I quote "Go ahead, I am so tired of all this complaining" I abruptly ended the conversation with him as any further attempt at civil discourse at that time was futile. I will pursue this with Lowes Corporate as well if not to just inform them of my experience and the reputational risk they run continuing their relationship with this business. I subsequently contacted Lowe's extended warranty, filed a formal complaint and have scheduled a new service call with a competitor. ***UPDATE*** Subsequent to my review above, the following is an update as of May 24, 2012 Lowe's Warranty Service Provider agreed to dispatch an alternate service technician. I'm pleased to announce that the second technician actually did diagnose the problem with the refrigerator...the stain on the back of the unit is indeed rust from condensation due to a manufacturing defect in applying the foam insulation between the interior cabinet and rear panel. The repair tech filed his diagnostic report to Lowes Service and I was subsequently issued a Lowe's gift card for the full purchase price of the refrigerator. Had I not challenged Fuller's Appliance Repair, I would have been stuck with a defective refrigerator.
Description of Work: Fuller's Appliance is one of three companies in the Charlottesville area that has been contracted to perform extended warranty services for Lowe's and possibly other big box retailers. This is my second experience with Fuller's Appliance. I scheduled a service call via Lowes and Fuller's contacted me promptly to schedule a service date. The technician was a personable young man and humored me as I stood in the kitchen with him while he worked. Some background of the issue: I had recently cleaned behind my refrigerator and noticed 2 large dark brown spots each about 6-8" in diameter that were once liquid and had dried on my hard wood floors. I initially suspected spilled food, however these 2 spots were in different locations and directly underneath the unit and no spills leading up to them. I cleaned them up and then noticed there was a dark brown/orange colored stain on the back of the freezer section of the unit just behind the compressor with what appears to be hard water stains running down the back of the unit from the orange stain for about 3 feet toward the floor and directly above where one of the brown stains was on the floor. The technician performed a physical inspection of the unit and checked underneath for leaks and stated at the time it looked like something was leaking but whatever it was is no longer visible to him with the naked eye. The technician also thought the stain on the back of the unit was curious and he could not determine what the cause was so he said he needed to take photos, which he did with his phone, in order to send directly to the head technician at the manufacturer. He said he would send them via email when he returned to the office at the end of the work day and to not expect a response from them until after 5 working days. That concluded the service call.

Their service was good and they were on-time. They young man who came knew what he was talking about. I was happy to have him in my house and he was polite. When they were a little late they called to tell me they couldn't be here on time. We were happy with the service we received from the company.
Description of Work: Fuller's Appliance repaired our oven which had been malfuctioning. They weren't able to find anything wrong. They made a guess and called the manufacturer to make sure they were correct. They were right, but we declined to have it fixed because it was too expensive.
