Description of Work: Over three or four telephone calls Denny dispensed advice and shared his knowledge plus doing research on our refrigerator in the hope that my husband could fix an on going problem. Told us not worth our money to fix it. Just nurse it along until it acts up again then try to get a service contract or buy a new one. Not good news for us but we weren't surprised and very thankful for his honesty. Told us our refrigerator is a victim of technical over design and advised us of refrig's with poor service records.

Description of Work: Spoke with Denny on the phone about a problem with our washer. He was willing to come out to fix the problem but asked a few questions, pulled up the engineering drawing of the assembly and said that I could probably do the job myself. Sent a copy of the drawing via email and told me to call if I didn't complete the job.

Description of Work: He returned my call, but his location was in Louisa county, so it was too far for him to drive for a service call. He offered to step my through the problem and by chance save a service call. But, I was pretty sure I needed a repairman.

Description of Work: Had an ice maker problem with my frig. It was not producing any ice. I called Denny and he fixed it over the phone. He is a great guy. Very knowledgeable and knows his ice makers. Thanks!

Description of Work: Refrigerator wouldn't cool.

Description of Work: I called Denny about a problem my dishwasher was having. He gave me some simple things to try over the phone, which I was able to do myself to fix the problem.

Description of Work: I called Denny becasue my refrig would not stop running. I left a message and he called me back within the half hour. He asked what the problem was and suggested I clean the coil, which I had not done in 6 yrs, and to call him back with the results. It was not apparent how I was to clean the entire coil becauuse it goes from the front to the back of the refrig underneath the frig. He told me to use my compressor to blow out the dust, I did and it works great at no charge. He obviously knows what he is doing and is willing to save the customer money, if they are so inclined. He is in my phone book for future appliance repair needs.

Description of Work: Refrigerator was not cooling at all after arriving home from a short trip. Had not used a local appliance repair place before. Found Denny's Appliance Repair in the local phone book and left a message on company answering machine late in the day. Denny personally returned the call promptly and was extremely helpful. He asked questions about the problem and said he felt it was a start device and not the actual compressor - to our relief. He said he could come out the next day which he did. He performed the repair quickly and also cleaned the coils of the refrigerator. He was extremely professional and explained exactly what needed to be done and showed the replaced part. The price was also extremely reasonable. The refrigerator is working well again now.
