I found Tom through the Angie's List recommendations and geographic proximity search. I had a growing list of drywall repairs and painting from water damage and general wear and tear so one day I just decided that it was time to get some help. My search identified two qualified vendors and I happened to call Tom first. I dialed his number expecting to get the dreaded voice mail since contractors never answer the phone but I was pleasantly surprised when Tom picked up! We made an appointment for the next day. He came on time and was quite happy to quote on all of my various projects even though they required a variety of different trades. His quote was quite competitive and I felt very secure in his abilities so I decided to hire him on the spot. I am very glad that I did. Tom has a very high attention to detail that is quite uncommon in contractors. Although he employs crews and subcontractors to do most of the work, he came by each day at least once to make sure that the work is up to his standards and that I was happy One of the projects that I hired him for was to patch some drywall and paint the room, but while doing the work he insisted on recaulking the windows at no charge. He take a lot of personal pride in his work. I also found Tom to be good at going the extra step to solve a problem As I mentioned in the first paragraph, some of my drywall damage was caused by a water leak. When Tom saw the damage, he went up on the roof to see where the water was coming from. Once up there, he found a rotten area in the roof that was a hidden problem that would soon have caused some major damage. He brought in experienced roofers and fixed this issue as well. As you can tell, I have been very pleased with working with Tom. I feel that he is honest, reasonably priced and really cares about doing quality work. I recommend him without reservation.

The Home Specialists was great to work with. Tom Castle, the owner, was here every day making sure everything was fine. He went out of his way several times to adapt to surprises found during the electrical stage of the work. He could've charged me extra for the surprises but he chose not not. For example, patching the three holes that had to be cut in the walls for wiring. He went to Home Depot with me, and even volunteered to return some items to Lowes for me because they didn't fit in my car. His workers were professional and clean. He always brought an electrician when needed, even on Sunday. He was punctual with appointments. His price was very good for all the work that they did. In the end, I have a beautiful kitchen and will call them again when it comes time to do more remodeling.

Very professional and actual cost was under the estimate. I had some rotted wood near my window in the front of the house. Completely replaced all the wood around the window and caulked. Cleaned up and I will definitely use the The Home Specialist again for my home projects. I highly recommend this company.
