A superior job of bathroom remodeling. They aren't always instantly responsive to communication, and they're not the cheapest. But for value--a good balance of reasonable price and superb workmanship--I found them to be great. Wonderful, professional guys who did a great job. The tile work alone was better than anything we'd had done. Overall a great experience and would easily recommend them.

The owner (Larry Richards) arrives to review scope of work and ultimately provide the estimate. During the review it become obvious he knows his business -- and he provided several good suggestions to enhance the final project. Members of his work crew also provided sugestions and made adjustments throughout the project to enhance the final appearance. Richards Construction also has a very nice showroom in Lorton, VA and we found the displays of bath vanities, plumbing fixtures, countertops and floor tiles. etc. very helpful. They also do Kitchen remodeleing and have a Kitchen side of the showroom. One can become mired in choices of these products and Larry Richards and his staff's knowledge makes the selection process very easy; and all products are of top quality. You do not need to limit yourself to the products on display. They will work with you to obtain what you want. Larry's estimates were well within the competitive range of the four top rated companies chosen to provide estimates. The project included tearing out wall board, ceilings, bath tubs, sinks, toilets, vanities (everything) down to the studs in two adjacent bathrooms, which were frimly fixed in the past, in our 50 year old home. And, then rebuilding and replacing everything to provide two modern bathrooms. The project took a little longer than expected, but the final product was well worth it. Different types of workers (carpenter, electrician, painter, plumber, tile man) would show up generally on time at 8-8:30 am (M-F), and perform their specific function, which for the most part had to proceed in a certain sequence. All of the workers were pleasant and courteous, and for the most part kept the dust and debris to a minimum. They also answered our questions throughout the process. There were few delays, and the extended time for the project was partly due to the extra work or care needed to deal with conditions of a 50 year old house. On occassion, we needed to contact Larry by phone or email regarding a question, or slight change in plans, and he was generally very responsive. We would not hesitate to recommend Richard's Construction to anyone needing a bath remodeled, They also do Kitchens, and I suspect with he same quality and care.

The experience with Richards Construction Inc. went fine. I gave them some money, then they had to order windows. It took like three weeks for the windows to come in, then they installed them and everything was fine. This was a company recommended by my neighbor. I live in New Hampshire so I never met the man, but everything went well. The prices were considerably lower than several other window estimates.

We pretty much like the experience. They did a very good job and they were very attentive to listen to our projects, finished the project on time and on budget, and did very good quality work, so we're actually pleased with them particularly the timing part that they told us.

It took a long time and since it was the master bath it seemed an iternity. I had to explain what we wanted each time a new person came and the people all had different ideas about what should be done. Some of Richards employees are lovely people, some not so. Some are totally incompetent, causing a leak that went all the way down to the family room causing a horrible spot on a popcorn ceiling. The job is finally finished and i'd rather forget about the experience. Richard promises a lot, but it doesn't always happen. Two neighbors had a better experience than us, so I feel we were just unlucky. Of course, I would never have Richard do anything else on our house nor would I recommend him to others. If something would go wrong with any of his work I would not expect him to fix it.
Description of Work: We replaced the tiles in a shower & the tiles around the tub. We also had 2 new sinks and a new counter top installed in the master bath. The fixtures in shower, tub and sinks was replaced with new ones. We signed a contract in July 2012 and it was finished by April 20 13.

Second time out with Richard's Construction; there will be a third. And a fourth. And a fifth...you get the picture. My wife and I live in an interior townhome that does not get a lot of natural light. Additionally, our stairs were extremely dated and closing in on being a safety hazard. The short of the long is this: We wanted a skylight and a new stairwell. Our floor plan is open on the main floor and there is no place where you cannot see the stairs. Our concern was that we did not know what could be done in a townhome; we are dealing with limited space. My wife and I trust Larry Richard's after hearing rave reviews from a coworker of mine and especially after his company remodeled our master bathroom and closet. Larry came by, sat on the stairs, looked up at the ceiling, smiled, and said "Yup, we can make this really nice." Our concerns evaporated. The skylight is magnificent, the drywall tunnel is masterful, and I can't even put into words how incredible of a job they did on the stairs and railings. As I wrote in my first review of Richard's Construction when they remodeled our master bathroom, there is almost an instantaneous relationship with Larry, Kay, Mike, Darryl and every other one of their employees. I could not trust them more. Lastly, the photos just don't do the work justice. Simply masterful.
Description of Work: Installed skylight over foyer, remodeled stairwell with oak treads and landing, installed attic ladder, custom oak railings, stained, painted, installed ceiling fan and foyer wall lights.

Richard's did a quality job on all the bathrooms and the family room. Their staff was polite, easy to have around. They paid attention to my need to keep the dust down by sealing off areas of the house not involved in the projects and bringing in a powerful exhaust fan while doing demolition. We continue to be pleased with quality of the work and exremely glad we did the remodelling. We recommend this company.

This was the next increment in phased kitchen improvements my wife and I had planned. The last job included installation of a wood top island, which Larry and his crew executed perfectly. Albeit a smaller project, this job was no different. Consistently impressed with the workmanship and professionalism these guys exhibit. Thank you Jeff and Rubin who did the install. Thank you Larry and Kay for orchestrating and for having such a wonderful team. The quality of work was flawless, Jeff and Rubin were in and out quickly saving us money in the process, the price in general was competitive, the whole experience was just great all around. Will continue to lean on Larry and his team as we target further home improvements, i.e. bookshelves, fireplace, etc.

repaired. Our guests comment on what a wonderful difference the remodeling has made in the appearance of our bathrooms. They are amazed at the silence of our fans. And they love the pendant lights in the powder room -an unusual style, and just right for the purpose. I highly reccomend Richard's Construction. If I ever did a kitchen, I'd go straight there, right from the beginning. The planning was done with appropriate focus on making the end result fully suited for the functions to be served, as well as giving style to the space. And I've already experienced the quality of delivery. Oh, I forgot to talk about the laundry room sink. Admittedly, it was a pretty mundane piece of work and that's all we wanted. But it wound up requiring some plumbing repair (remember - our house is 54) and we've now lived without any problems at all. Just call Richard's Construction and rest easy.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of bath and powder room. Replacement of laundry sink and its plumbing in "mud" room. All fixtures were removed from both bathrooms. Walls and floors were opened for examination and replacement, as necessary, of all plumbing, as our house was built 54 years ago and we wanted to be sure to eliminate future plumbing issues. The new fixtures were chosen by us to meet "universal design" concepts - easy to use by all persons. Materials installed were up-to-date and I -as chief cleaner-upper - am thrilled with the ease of maintenance as well as with the new styling! New fans were installed, and their venting brought the whole ventilation system up to code. I loved the fact that Richard's Construction maintains a showroom from which my husband and I selected fixtures. There were choices I didn't see online, and, of course, seeing them in real time made it much easier to imagine how they would look in our particular home. Also, a design consultant made a home visit before the remodeling drawings were made, and was readily available as we were in the showroom choosing specific fixtures. Protective curtains were used to keep all work detritus from sneaking into the rest of our house - we were able to use the house, during the day, while work was being done. (Of course, It was certainly handy that we had an RV in the driveway during the time water was shut off.) All workers were cheerful, .well-spoken, timely, and diligent. The project was completed on time. We continue to feel completely happy with our decisions for the whole project. One toilet malfunctioned a few months after completion and was immediately replaced, graciously and without any charge. And over a year later, a leak in the powder room sink appeared. Earlier in life, we probably would have been able to fix it - but no longer. Again, graciously, quickly, and without charge it was

The workers showed up on time as scheduled, and took care in protecting the rest of my home from the construction area. The major work (98% or so) was complete in less than 2 weeks. Some minor work dragged on a bit (2 months) some shoe molding needed to be added and an we had one ungrounded outlet. We had only paid a 50% downpayment at the time of demo so waited to submit the final balance until all of these small items were completed. All was done, but thus the B rating.
Description of Work: Kitchen Update on a 50's rambler. Kept old cabinets. They demo'd floors and backsplash and they updated under cabinet lighting. I found granite (Pyramid Granite) on my own and Richards said they could not go lower. Went to Richards showroom to pick out backsplash. They sent me to a floor company nearby to pick out flooring and this other floor company installed the flooring.

Richard comes out himself to measure and provide an initial idea/cost of what they could do. But it wasn't until he went back and worked with his in-house designer that they came up with a really great idea. Next, we went to his showroom to pick out the cabinets, tile, counters and fixtures. This is a lengthy process, but again the designer really helped us pull everything together. The work took about 6 -8 weeks. The various crews that come in, such as the knock-out crew or the tile guys were all professional and careful to clean up as much as they could each night. There was one person that was assigned to our remodel and he was there throughout the work, checking to see that things were done right and talking to us about what was being done. The work was done well and we love our kitchen. Richard's Construction does a good job. This is the second time we have used them to do work in our house.
Description of Work: Richard's Construction remodeled our kitchen. They completely removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen, put in new cabinets, counters and floors. The only thing we didn't do was replace the appliances.

I loved everything. He is outstanding. When he says he is going to be here, he is here. When he tells you his people are going to arrive at a certain time, they arrive. They come in and they work, they don't play. You don't hear loud radio music and a whole lot of conversation. They come in and do what they have to do. When he comes, he explains exactly what he is going to do. He gives you a time schedule. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I spent several months vetting kitchen renovation contractors and ended up whittling it down to Richards Construction and another contractor. We opted to do business with Larry based on his experience, professionalism, candidness, and project price point. Leading up to the job, Larry and his wife Kay were helpful in advising us on materials and measurements and were great about walking us through whatever contract-related questions we had at the time. The day of, Larry's team arrived as scheduled followed by the materials shortly thereafter. Thank you to Larry who shot me a courtesy call letting me know that the materials would be 15-30 min behind due to our house not showing up in GPS yet. Once the job got started Larry's crew, Jeff and Luis, were 100% on top of it and ended up wrapping up what we initially thought was going to be a two day job in just one day. These guys were meticulous when it came to ensuring that my wife and I were pleased with the final product. Really appreciate how Jeff and Luis touched base with us throughout the project to verify exact island placement and overall kitchen maneuverability, electrical outlet placement, cup pull installation, etc. Very fortunate to have had these two gentlemen on the job. The final product (which is beautiful) is a tangible testament to their top notch professionalism and workmanship...seriously impressed with these guys. In closing, I really can't say enough about Larry, his team, and the business that he runs. This being our first home and our first big home improvement, my wife and I were naturally a bit nervous walking into it. However, the entire process was really just a great experience; wouldn?t change a thing here. Assuming the price is right, we're excited to continue to do business with Richards Construction looking forward.

As with the main body of work done, our extra request for help was met pleasantly, and promptly. Workman was on time, courteous, and left everything clean and ready to use.
Description of Work: We had a bath and powder room remodeled, from new plumbing inside walls to new fixtures, floors, wall tiles, etc. We also had small changes made to our laundry room sink area. I have described the work, in more detail, in a previous review. Now we have lived with the results for a full 9 months, and I still get a sparkle of pleasure every time I use our facilities. They are a pleasure to the eye, efficient, and easy to maintain. About 1 or 2 months out, a toilet tank began to run constantly. New toilet designs do not allow for easy repair or adjustment by the ordinary homeowner, so we called Richards. A replacement tank was quickly ordered, arrived, and installed by the company. There was no additional charge. And there have been no problems since then. I just wanted to underline our pleasure in a job well done by a company that demonstrates a generous concept of responsibility for work done. Catherine S. Clark

Our initial trip to Richards Construction in mid January was very productive. We were not expecting to gain much other than updating our bathrooms (1967 with minor upgrades done in 1980s). Our master bath is a half-bath with shower. It is small and narrow (42" x 9 ')....really small for 6'5" husband! Larry latched on to that small bathroom and created as much space as he could for tall man! His design enlarged the shower from 34" square to 42" square, the vanity from 18" to 30" and added pocket door and corner toilet to plans....he maximized every inch of space. Tall man has never been more excited about any other renovation project in our 43 year marriage! The demolition and start date was 01.30. 2012. Bathroom was complete and ready for ownership 02.24.2012 as promised. The second bathroom took a bit longer only because accessories had to be exchanged and there were shipping delays. Demolition was 02.24.2012, bathroom was usable 03.23.2012, but totally completed 04.17.2012. Vanity was in good condition and not replaced at our request. Upper cabinets were recessed (opened up countertop area and appeared more spacious, additional outlets installed in the cabinets (toothbrushes, razors stored out of sight), additional lighting and vents over tub and toilet area for a brighter bathroom, installed a beautiful Caesarstone countertop, and brightened up bathroom with white tile floor and around tub. It is not bigger, but it seems so! Richards team detected a leak in small bathroom under shower stall during demolition and it was repaired and damaged vent replaced. Master bedroom closet lighting was requested during the bathroom renovation and was done while other electrical work was updated. Additional ideas about bathroom storage shelves, Corian inserts and shower corner baskets were so helpful in redesigning space. Our electrical box inside/outside had to be updated. The electricians found a line with too many appliances running from it and were able to run other lines to manage the load. All circuit breakers were marked clearly in the new box. Also, vents in the bathroom and smoke detectors in the bedrooms were added to bring our home up to code. Every member of the Richards team introduced himself upon entering our home, treated our home and belongings respectfully, advised us of every problem or setback along the way. Each change in direction was under the watchful eye of the job manager and Larry Richards. All phone inquiries were returned within a day or two. Neighbors knew there was something going on because someone showed up EVERY day during the hard work. It was very helpful to have a lockbox on the door, as we were able to come and go with daily routine without "waiting" for anyone. The delay in completion of the second bathroom was mainly for last minute things (accessories which did not fit or match) and tweaks (dripping faucet, little imperfections in paint job or mess-ups when we were too eager to use something before it was dry or finished). The county (04.19.2012) and electric company (04.27.2012) inspections were the last items on our tag list. Frequently, one of the team would tell me about something that needed additional consultation, but they would always assure me "it is not a problem....we only have solutions....just maybe a different one than what we thought." We really appreciated their optimism, it always made the changes more positive! We absolutely love our bathrooms....enjoying many more enhancements than we ever expected and we are very confident that jobs were done professionally and perfectly! If we had more money, we would tackle our kitchen. When we do, we know who to call!

All the work was excellent, was completed on time, and has held up well; save only one problem that did not surface for over ten years: The plumbers failed to connect the overflow in the oversized bathtub. After all that time, the tub was let run too long and the water went out the overflow, as it should; but destroying the ceiling in the living room and entry. Richards did respond with a plumber, who connected the overflow without charge; but did not offer any other compensation for damages that exceeded $7,000, and no small inconvenience. I confess I may have the exact date wrong- its been a long time.
Description of Work: Richards did a complete remodel of master bath, including removal of walk-in closet and remodel of master closet to expand bathroom. Installation of a full bath (shower only) in the basement. Additionally, they fully remodeled the kitchen, removing a dividing wall and opening it up to the family room, as well as removing a door, and redoing the laundry room including installation of a sink.

I'm very happy with them. One thing I really like is that they have a complex f their own and it includes an expensive showroom. They showroom was very helpful in choosing. The young woman that works with them is a really good listener; she really tapped in to what kind of people we are and what we wanted. The work was so clean! They were very open to having us view what they were doing where they were working. We felt very secure with them.
Description of Work: They completely re-did two bathrooms.
From start to finish, Richards Construction did an excellent job. The work was high quality; the job was completed within the time period estimated; and the staff was professional. Of particular note was the responsiveness of Larry Richards who returned phone calls and emails the day we contacted him and resolved any concerns the next day. We would not hesitate to use RichardsConstruction again.
They started our project on time. The demolition work went quickly. The workers kept the dust off everything. They were clean and maintained a neat work area. The workers were good craftsman and they finished on time. Their pricing was reasonable and the worksmanship was superb.

Process has been a nightmare from start (10/5/11) and continues today (1/16/12). I moved out for what was supposed to be 4-5 days until one bath had tile and a functional toilet and tub. That stretched to a week, with an unplanned visit to drop off mosaic tile Larry failed to order. Then on day 10, I find out bath still isn't ready and my basement has flooded since crew had unplugged sump pump, then abandoned job for who knows how long during a three-day rainy spell. Though Larry said flooding was minor and crew had cleaned it up, he lied -- flooding was bad enough to destroy items that were fine even when my sump pump broke a while back, and not only had his crew left pools of muddy water in corners, they hadn't turned on any fans or even my dehumidifier. It took over 6 hours that evening and the next morning to finish mopping up filthy water, washing everything with bleach, putting absorbent powder onto soaked wood, throwing out damaged goods -- all made more difficult because his crew had cut hole in laundry sink's drain line -- located nowhere near the bath lines -- and instead of fixing it, they'd simply stuffed a rag into the hole. Among the damaged goods were the tub spout and shower fixture for my new bath -- both were completely waterlogged, with muddy water infiltrating even the plastic wrapping inside the boxes. To avoid having moldy fixtures installed, I put them in my car trunk and told Larry I expected new ones ordered and installed. I also said I expected him to ensure his crew is supervised so work got back on schedule and done right without further mishaps. I finally got to move back in 10/17, but despite Larry's promise to fix laundry line by then -- I'd agreed not to call a plumber to fix because Larry said it would be done Monday -- I still couldn't do any laundry. Then Larry promised line would be fixed Tuesday, but it didn't get fixed until Wednesday. I also discovered that tub not only had some cheap tubspout (in place of flood-damaged one) and a used overflow cover with rusty bolt, but also was incorrectly located, eliminating any possibility of installing linen shelves in a bedroom closet. And while every fixture and trim piece in room was chrome or stainless steel, they'd installed brass door hinges, with a pin doorstop so filthy that even the rubber tip left orange mold marks on the doorframe. Also, the room had been completely tiled without leaving any air-supply vent for heat/AC, and while exhaust fans had been installed, it wasn't until weeks later -- 11/6 -- that a roofer hooked up the ductwork and ventcaps to the outside. It took several more weeks for the vanity to be installed. Even when cabinet was installed, it had wrong countertop -- while my vanity sat in a righthand corner, the countertop had the faucet in the middle of the left side, nowhere near the backsplashes. And when they finally got around to installing the light fixture I'd purchased, they installed it squashed up against the right wall instead of centered over vanity top. Then they recentered it over the width of the vaniety instead of the larger width of the counter. By the time both baths were to be "substantially complete," not even one was completed, and work barely had begun on other. Custom shower pan --- the one item cited as a potential holdup to starting master bath -- was installed, plumbing and electrical lines were run, but demolition of old drywall still wasn't complete. Instead of pace picking up, days went by with nothing getting done on either bath. Then I find out that Larry -- who had my final tile choices in September and a check to begin tilework on master bath by mid-October -- hadn't even orderied the tile yet. By the late date he finally tried to place order, my first choice reportedly was no longer available, so he had to order my alternative choice. Once it became clear that Larry wouldn't come close to fulfilling the contract deadlines, I made repeated attempts to find out when the job would be done. After three emails, Larry finally said he'd get the job done by Thanksgiving if the shower door -- another custom item -- came in, but that couldn't be ordered until shower tiled. Finaly, the week before Thanksgiving, there was a flurry of activity after days of no work, and Larry even said he'd send someone to house on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I'd assumed that person would be finishing up work-- no towel or toiler paper holders had been installed, the shower door wouldn't open and all walls were still covered in grout haze and dust in master bath; hall bath still had wrong spout, no caulking/sealing, no mirror behind vanity; and both upstairs hall and basement still had gaping holes in walls, plus basement ceiling still hadn't been finished off. To my surprise, this person introduced himself as "the punchlist guy." I hadn't even been informed that anything in master bath was operational yet, much less at the punchlist stage. It struck me as a pretty odd to schedule what's supposed to be final walkthrough of items that weren't done quite correctly when so many items were left to be done. And I've never heard of anyone having to do punchlist on the fly without any advance notice or much opportunity to inspect what work has been done. Nonetheless, I gave him my punchlist, and when Larry indicated that someone would be by Monday to do some work, I told Larry that it'd take more than one person more that one day to meet his commitment to be done by Thanksgiving. And since I'd already scheduled time off after Thankgiving to start washing down all construction dust, getting carpets & ducts cleaned, shop for armoire or bureaus to store linens, etc., I would use that time to hire other contractors if he still hadn't finished the job -- or had done so in a hasty manner using damaged parts. So Larry's crew managed to finish up most work, but he failed to schedule the county final inspection and still hadn't installed the correct tub spigot by Thanksgiving. When I asked when that would finally happen, Larry tried to sell me some fairy tale about how installing correct faucet couldn't be done unless I was willing to have tile work damaged since correct spout had a different sized inlet valve than the cheap one and would require tearing out tile. Only when I pointed out that any idiot could cut supply line from access panel in closet behind tub, install correct valve, and solder pipes back together w/o touching tile did Larry agree to install correct part. Larry said his plumber would do that final job the Monday after Thanksgiving -- the same day the county inspection was finally scheduled. Though the inspector showed up and the baths passed --- one didn't meet code for 15" distance around toilet to other fixtures, but inspector said he would overlook, given tight confines -- Larry's plumber was a no-show. So I packed up their stuff and called another plumber to get estimate on doing job. Larry's plumber finally showed up the next day, just as I was signing estimate from other plumber and getting ready for carpet cleaner to arrive. Only when I refused to allow Larry's plumber in and handed him the lockbox and other supplies they'd left did Larry contact me. Once again he tried to lie -- claimed he'd emailed me Monday to say plumber would be there Tuesday. (I got plenty of emails from other people Monday but nothing from him.) Then he acted like I should have told him when my carpet cleaners were coming so he could schedule his work around that, so I reminded him that his work was supposed to be done long ago, then by Thanksgiving, and I'd told him if he still wasn't done by then, I'd get someone else to do the job. Now I only wish I had kicked his crew out when they flooded my basement. After discovering the masterbath shower niche had tile set crooked and misaligned, plus had hardened grout embedded on surfaces that were impossible to get clean, I had to call in a tile contractor to get that mess retiled ... only to discover it would be impossible to redo correctly without major reconstruction, in part because back of niche was improperly cemented to old drywall of closet behind master bath, and that drywall is already crumbling from weight of tile and cement (big chunk of closet drywall has fallen out, exposing cement bleeding through). So this week I've got a friend calling his building contractors to find someone qualified to do that tearout and rebuild. In the meantime, that shower is unusable. And today I discovered the hall shower/bath also is unusable until I find a contractor who can fix whatever plumbing in the hall bath has leaked and destroyed two ceiling tiles in the basement -- and possibly damaged the new subfloor. Leak probably has been happening all along-- just didn't become obvious until this week when I stopped using the master bath so the tile contractor could attempt to redo niche. These costs will cost many thousands of dollars, and that's in addition to the $1700 I've already spent repairing/replacing/redoing things like unsealed grout in both baths, bureaus to replace lost linen shelves, tiles to replace grouted-over/crooked mess in master bath, rusted overflow cover/door hinges/popup stopper, etc. I won't know the final tab until I find contractors capable of redoing the tilework and plumbing, but I know Richards Construction isn't that contractor: That company is incapable of doing competent work even when contractually required, plus Larry Richards lies to clients about when the work will get done and then lies about why it can't be done. I do know Richards Construction will be held liable for covering the costs of repairing his lousy workmanship. How on earth could any contractor who operates in this manner could get "A" ratings on Angie's list? I'm surprised he even has held onto his license -- and he may not, depending on how much damages I end up suffering.
Description of Work: Tear out two baths from water heater and plumbing lines in basement to rooftop vents. Redo layout to widen master bath by moving hall bath forward, knocking out linen closet in hallway and widening adjacent bedroom closet with shelves to make up for lost linen closet. Install all new fixtures/plumbing/electrical/tile/fans/ducts/lights. Demolition began 10/5/11, and contract called for both baths to be "substantially complete" in "approximately one month."

A coworker recommended Richards Construction and we will always be thankful. Larry, Kay, Shun, Mike, and the entire company are consummate professionals; and we can't say enough about them. During the vetting process, Larry and Shun came over and immediately started giving us ideas on how to remodel. It is important to note they weren't trying to up-sell anything - they knew our budget and didn't once suggest we go over it. My wife and I didn't know what was possible; and we genuinely appreciate the great remodeling/decorating ideas Larry and Shun gave us during their first visit. To say they are friendly, funny, and unassuming would be a gross understatement. We felt extremely comfortable with them from the second they walked through the door. We were provided a detailed proposal (and I mean detailed) within 24 hours. We were very impressed with the completeness and accuracy based off our discussions and their visit. Another reason we chose Richards Construction is because they do not subcontract any work; they complete everything with their own staff. Every other contractor we vetted didn't do one thing or another; e.g. we would have to find a painter or electrician on our own to complete the job. We chose the tile, paint color, wood, cabinet style, fixtures/hardware, and lighting right at their showroom. Pet owners: if you are concerned about your pets during a remodel, Richards Construction is the company you need to contract with. Every employee was extremely cognizant of our cats and never once propped open an exterior door or did anything that could have harmed them. This was a big deal for us. The demolition of our old bathroom was efficient and clean: the crews laid plastic over the carpets, padded paper over the hardwood floors, and hung plastic barriers to keep the dust out of the rest of the bedroom. The demo crews also swept and cleaned at the end of each day. Larry and Kay arranged for the permits, and also for the county inspector during the remodel and at completion. I am not kidding when I said the company does everything. Our new master bathroom and closet are amazing, and we won't consider looking elsewhere when it comes time for another project.
