Description of Work: I had George come and do a review of my home as a part of Angies plumbing/Dominion power check package. George looked at my home to determine how we used electricity and in what ways we could save money. George provided lots of useful information and advice and he listened to my concerns and answered my questions. We requested for him to return and add insulation to our attic which he did. I had a bad experience with one of the NICE plumbers prior to the electricity check and George listened to my concerns and ensured that when the follow up consult was done with a different plumber that he would be at my home doing the insulation at the same time to help ensure things went more smoothly. George and Dominique did the insulation and were punctual, professional, and kept my home looking clean wearing shoe covers and vacuuming after the work was complete. The plumber that came to look at my toilets (still not working after the 1st plumber came) was professional, punctual, kind, informative, honest, and fixed/did the work the previous plumber messed up. The previous plumber has been let go and this plumber is amazing. If you use NICE and need a plumber ask for Hugh. Because of Hugh and George specifically I am giving NICE A's.

Description of Work: My first experience with NICE was not pleasant. The plumber who arrived late without calling has since been let go. He was friendly but not professional and did not explain to me the issues with my bathrooms (2) and kitchen sink. After the work was completed our kitchen sink would drain but one of our bathrooms still had problems - new problems it didn't have before. Another plumber came for the return visit a couple weeks later to look at our continued issues and I had a much better experience the next time around. I was given a discount for the follow up services and anything the original plumber stated he had done but didn't do was provided free of charge. This was my first time needing to hire a plumbing service so I do not know if prices were comparable to other plumbers but I felt the entire experience was very expensive. I would have given worse scores to this group but the follow up service was very professional and with the one plumber gone I feel this is still a worthwhile group to hire. If you need a plumber I would ask for Hugh.

Description of Work: Cleared out a poorly draining sink. It was adequately cleared, however, I thought that the cost was excessive and also that I was unable to get the complimentary energy audit since my townhouse is a condo.

Description of Work: I purchased a brand new heating and air conditioning system from them. So far so good. I would've gone with an A rating except there was a lot of back and forth with servicing e.g. turning the system on after set up.

Description of Work: Travelled to Home Depot, install and replace with original trim parts...faucets in wall with a newer price pfister.

Description of Work: George arrived on time, put plastic covers over his shoes before entering my home. He then put a canvas cover in front of the fireplace before beginning the diagnostics. He performed the work quickly. He answered all my questions and made me more aware of the proper maintenance of my gas fireplace. He came back once because the fire kept going out. The second appointment was made quickly at a convenient time for me. He traced the problem to the wall switch were the wires were not secure. He quickly fixed that. I felt comfortable with George in my home. The reference to Angie's List save $100.

Description of Work: I purchased a service policy after N.I.C.E. came out to do the initial furnace maintenance check. They came out to perform maintenance check on Air Conditioning unite. It proved to be leaking, so we discussed options and I decided to have them install a new heating & Cooling system which will be installed on April 19th. I am very impressed with the company's costumer care!

Description of Work: Not a significant value for the service provided. The contractor was punctual, courteous and professional and did a decent job inspecting our plumbing. However, my conclusion is that the "$75 for Whole House Plumbing Inspection, Water Heater Flush" was primarily a vehicle for the company to try to sell us other services. Also, I got the sense that plumbing was not their primary line of business. The van graphics highlighted HVAC services, and the caller id for the company showed it was a locksmith calling!

Description of Work: Checked safe operation of two gas fireplaces and instructed my wife on the operation of both. Great service and professional performance.
