Description of Work: Nice Home Services came out and cleaned my fireplace, adjusted flame, added timber. The service went well. They did a thorough job. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: The Company converted our wood-burning fireplace into a vent-free triple burner (gas-logs) fire place. We are happy with the final product which looks and performs very well; the "burning" logs look like the "real thing". However, the whole process took quite a bit longer than we were made to believe during the first visit on November 13, when a Company representative provided us with a cost estimate of the job and, when asked, told us that it might well be possible to have things done "before Thanksgiving", i.e. November 27. It took several visits, each time from a different technician, and several calls also to the main office to keep things going. Coordination between the main office and the people doing the work seemed to me to be somewhat lacking. Finally, during the last phase, the actual installation of the logs and hood, I was able to help by providing assistance and some special tools to complete the job.

It did not carry the particular brand that we currently have and are in the process of replacing so we didn't use its services. However, the tech who came provided us with great information about gas inserts and alternative ways of obtaining an efficient fireplace for heating purposes.

Description of Work: Serviceman, John Jones, was unable to keep the time for arrival but I was notified of this and a new time was arranged for the same day. He was efficient, most pleasant, explained all he did; he inspected, cleaned the gas fireplace which I have not used for at least 5 years. He replenished the embers, sand, cleaned and reconditioned glass work, cleaned the gas logs and re-installed them so that the fireplace is now in excellent working order. I am extremely satisfied with the whole experience with this company.

Description of Work: We've used Nice for a number of services - plumbing, hvac cleaning and servicing, home energy review. They have comprehensive services and their crews are good to work with. After our plumbing work, which involved turning off the main water valve, we developed a leak at the valve itself. The Nice tech walked us through a couple of self-serv fixes first but was ready to come on his own time, on the weekend, to fix. We were able to resolve to our satisfaction with his guidance. | |We received a quote to replace our hot water heater, and the telephone sales follow up my wife experienced was rather aggressive -- for a few days -- until they believed us that we weren't going to replace the HWH.
