The Plummer onsite was very experienced and thorough with the work he did. He was nice enough to recommend and check on things to keep us informed and warned about typical issues. However, our experience with the dispatch unit and frequent interruption of supervisor to the technicians makes us doubt the courteousness of the company in general. The day before the agreed work was performed we received a call to confirm appointment but were told that we are not allowed to use showerhead units purchased by us along with the Angieslist coupon. This key information was not stated on the coupon; however, they sent out the plummer to do the work, and luckily the person was very pleasant enough to work with, which we decided to pay a bit more to include the services he recommended. Therefore, our observation is that there is a bit disparity between dispatch unit / Supervisor and field worker.

We originally purchased an Angie's Deal to have NICE give our furnace a tune-up. Scheduling was easy and on the day of service the technician was not only ahead of schedule but even called in advance to see if it was okay that he showed up a little early. Unfortunately, it didn't take the technician long to identify that our furnace was likely the original from when the house was built (1950's; the most recent part was the coil which was stamped 1974), that it had been poorly maintained over the years, and was installed improperly (we need a down-flow and our previous system was an up-flow furnace with the coil (wrong size) installed on the top rather than the bottom). When we purchased this house a couple of years ago we were told that the furnace would likely need some work, so this news wasn't a total surprise. After walking us through all of the pieces and answering all of our questions about how a furnace works we decided it was best to order a completely new HVAC system. The technician walked us through all of the options that NICE provides (system types, sizes, payment plans, etc) and we were able to complete the entire order on site through the technicians smartphone. By the time the technician left our house I had digital copies of all of our signed contracts sitting in my inbox, which was pretty cool. Scheduling the installation was just as easy as scheduling the original service, and the technicians once again called to see if it was okay to arrive early. Given the complexity of the previous system it took the two-man team 10 hours to complete the installation because they had to rework several gas, water, and electrical connections to make the new system work (all included in the original purchase and installation fee). All of the technicians we're very personable, very professional, and very willing to answer any questions we had. Before the installation was complete I even received a phone-call from NICE to coordinate a day for the inspector to come out, and by the time the installation was complete I had email confirmation that NICE had taken care of all of the arrangements for the inspection date we requested. When everything was finally up and running the technicians left the work space cleaner than they found it and made sure we had everything in order for the inspector. All in all the service we received was top notch and we were very happy with the whole experience. We will happily recommend NICE to our friends and family.

I used NICE to clean my dryer vent. Bought Big Deal for $60 and service was great. Very professional and prompt.

They were very courteous and professional. A couple hiccups but nothing they could not handle quickly on their own without substantive involvement on my end. I appreciate service providers that can encounter problems and generate plans to resolve independently.

The tech not only cleaned the fireplace and the glass, but also added fake ambers to make the gas fireplace look more realistic. He also accommodated my pickiness in switching the glass on my two sided fireplace. Although I would have preferred if they could have gotten it spotless, apparently due to the fact that it hadn't been cleaned in 5+ years, some of the dirt had been baked in, but he switched the glass around so that it was less noticible...

If anyone is on the fence in regards to having their gas fireplace tuned up by NICE, jump over it. They were quick to schedule, on time, extremely professional, and a pleasure to have in my home. I would recommend this servicing to anyone. George is absolutely fantastic.

I signed up for the fireplace deal with NICE Home Services. George called ahead and arrived a little early. He wore protectors over his shoes and put a drop cloth in front of the fireplace--no mess at all. He cleaned the fireplace, got it working better than when I bought my house 10 years ago, put new embers in it, and showed me everything about lighting the pilot. He repaired a log that was broken, and it's as good as new. My fireplace has never worked this well. George was extremely personable and professional. When I signed up for the fireplace deal, I had written that I wanted to talk to someone about other services that NICE Home Services could provide. George covered every one of them with me and even scheduled me for a whole house duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning while he was there. He will have one of their plumbers contact me about repairing the kitchen faucet and changing the water filter under my sink. I have hit upon a company I can confidently refer my friends to.

On a Saturday, I purchased a big deal for dryer vent cleaning online through Angie's List. I was contacted via email within an hour with an appointment time, however, I noticed that the appointment time was listed as 10:00 PM, so I immediately emailed back to confirm that it should have read 10:00 AM. When I still had not received a response by Monday, I called their office to confirm the time. The two technicians showed up on time in the morning and described what work they would be performing. After nearly two hours of attempting to clear the dryer vent of lint build-up, they told me that they were not equipped to complete the job; with the dryer turned on where there should have been air flow at the outside vent there was only a feeling of heat. They said that the length of the vent was 30 feet, which was too long and not to code and there were too many elbows in the vent to clean out properly. The vent is in fact to code and under 30 feet. Their solution was to re-route the vent through another wall, which I declined. The following day, Wednesday, Robert from NICE Home Services called me to ask how satisfied I was with the work performed. I said that the job had not been completed to my satisfaction and provided him with details. He was passing this along to his manager and promised a return call the next day with the prospect of sending technicians back to finish the job. The call never came, so I called back on Friday and spoke to Cherie, who pulled my file and reiterated what the technicians told me and again tried to sell me on having my dryer vent relocated, which I declined again. While everyone I spoke with was polite, I don't feel the quality of work was satisfactory. As far as the energy analysis went, the only hiccup that I experienced was that the technician turned off the gas furnace for inspection and neglected to turn it back on--this was on the coldest day of the month with temperatures in the single digits--and it was 2 hours before I found the source of no heat.

It was great. They got the job done in about 40 minutes. The scheduling was very easy. The technician was very professional.

I was pleased with the demeanor of the man who came to the house. He was experienced and well mannered. I was unprepared for him to ask me for the password to my WIFI connection so that he could prepare his paperwork. His company is paper-less. That request raised a privacy issue with which I was not completely comfortable.

Guil was a fantastic representative of this company, very professional and knowledgable. I will certainly come back to NICE for future plumbing and HVAC needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for service. Thank you for such a wonderful service experience.

After the initial call to the company, the receptionist would not answer questions on the types of jobs that could be done for $100. Although my price was supposed to be worth $100 and I paid half, the plumber upon arriving indicated the job would cost $250 and I could use the $100 towards the amount owed. I told him this is a 15-30 minute job and $250 seemed extravagant and he would not do the work for my initial cost. He wanted me to talk to his boss to see if we could set this right. I spoke with his manager, told him I was a little peeved at having to negotiate after I paid for a plumbing service (incomplete ad), leaving the customer bewildered or accept the price with more money out the door. This felt like a bait and switch purchase. All I wanted was a drain snaked which took 1/2 hour once the plumber brought his equipment in and started working. Most of the time on this job was spent negotiating a higher price or securing a good recommendation for their services. They asked me how everything went after the work was complete and I was satisfied with the work, but not the lack of professionalism or courtesy to the client.

Francisco was prompt in showing up and completed the job quickly and efficiently! He offered great plumbing tips as well. I will definitely use N.I.C.E. services in the future because of him.

They did what they supposed to do. They were punctual and the tech was very friendly and clearly qualified.

In July 2012, two men from National Indoor Climate Experts (NICE Home Services) came to check on our air conditioning for some problems we were having but then immediately noticed (thank goodness!!!) our furnace was installed improperly (by the sketchy company, Rite Temp Heating & A/C, in April 2012) and contributing to the issues with our A/C as well. They said this furnace easily could have ignited and we are lucky we never had to turn it on. One of the men also noticed they didn't even get a permit for it, which is required by law! They took pictures for us and guided us through of all the violations/issues with this faulty furnace. They also advocated for us when our Home Warranty company tried to make us use Rite Temp to fix the problem - there was no way I would let the company back into my home!! Thank goodness, we were able to use NICE Home Services and our new (higher quality, energy efficient) heating unit still works wonderfully!!! Now, I use them, and plan to use them, for everything from dryer vent cleaning to plumbing installation! They have fair prices/deals and do quality work! [With regard to the cost of service, I don't recall exactly, but it was the amount of our deductible according to our home warranty at the time.]

The deal was for $100 and they charged an extra $100 for the part of the remote control. They did a lot of effort to contact me as soon as I bought the deal online and kept trying back until I could make an appointment. In the showed up and did what was needed to be done.

Everything went well and the team that came to my house were very professional, respectful and efficient. They went the extra mile to ensure everything was done right and on time.They were amazing and fair priced. I will definitely use NICE Home Services for all my future needs.

They did good. They were able to come that day. I thought that was a little pricey because he didn't replace anything, he had to take it apart and put it back together.

It was ok . Although he was neat and on-time (literally placed shoe covers over his shoes; called when he was 1 hour away, 30 minutes, and 10 minutes out). He inspected from the fireplace from inside, copied the model #, made a few recommendations and let me know that it did not have a blower and is there for more cosmetics appeal. He made a few recommendations to me, like letting it run for an hour to see if that helps with the cold since it is a gas fireplace; it didn't help after running for several hours expect my huge gas bill. He said he inspected the chimney prior to coming in but that means he could only see about 1/2 of it and he didn't go on the deck to see the other half or climb on the roof to make sure nothing was broken. He didn't clean the logs, nor the pellets at the bottom but just a few cob webs. But once again it was ok but not what I thought would have happend after reading the reviews.

The technician George could not have been nicer. He explained a few details about the fireplace went straight to work and fixed the issue. He even cleaned the insert for me. Very pleased with the service.
