Very professional and he answered all my many questions. I've never had this done & it's almost 9 years old. I recommend the NICE company and would use them again.

We had the fireplace serviced in a house we had just purchased a few months prior. The home inspector was able to light the fireplace but the wall switch didn't work and it hadn't been cleaned in years so we had NICE come out to take a look. The technician was fantastic, immediately finding the issue, showing me how to manually light and turn it off, and cleaning everything up. He walked and talked us through everything he was doing. I plan on having them back next year.

Technician was very thorough when he cleaned and inspected the fireplace. He answered every question I had about the fireplace and was very frank about when it would need to be replaced. I think I got more than my money's worth just from his recommendations. My only complaint was that he kept having to answer questions from another technician at another job site. He didn't let it interfere too much but he did have to stop work a couple times to answer his phone.

I had the Big Deal but there was a additional charges. They entered into the lower level of the house and repaired the 2 valves that were causing the problem and they repaired it. Hubert, the repair person was really terrific. The Big Deal price on this repair was fine. But I did call them again for another different repair, and this was the other day because I had a problem with the shower and they came out. I thought the price that was quoted to me for that instance was extremely high. It was $500 to snake out the drain and $200 to do caulking. So I did not use them. The quality of their work for the first instance was very good. Then they had a terrific repair person and it was a job that was extremely well done and they came when they were supposed to. I don’t know if I would use them again. I would have up until this last round and I felt that their price was a little too high. I made the second call but again I probably would not.

It went well. A little mishap with a ceiling vent that was caulked to the ceiling which is very odd. They did take the time to cut the calk so they could clean that duct. Another company a few backs did not take the extra time to do that. It was a bit of a challenge to get it back on. The tech took the time to re-attach it, even though that was not his area of expertise. Very pleasant and professional crew.

George was knowledgeable about how gas fireplaces are supposed to work. He was no more successful than we were to get the fireplace to light with the remote control and suggested we consider going to a manual mode. He explained the pros and cons of doing that and was ready to give us three options to get the fireplace working again. As he answered more questions that we had and then he determined that the unit we have already had a way to light it manually and use the constant pilot. He showed us how to light it in case it ever went out and made sure we could do that before he left. At the same time, should we consider a replacement, he gave us an estimate for the cost to replace the gas line valve.

I love Angie's List. They came within days after I bought the deal, which gave me cleaning of two zones of duct work plus dryer vents for less then I had found for one zone of just duct work alone. The gentlemen who came were efficient, knowlegeable and very polite and considerate ( my 85 year old mother in law lives with us and is easily upset) They had a lot to clean, and did a great job of it without disruption to my home. They were timely, came back the next day to fine tune and I will always use them again.

I purchased a $50 Angie's List Big Deal for this service. This company had a $150 flat rate for the service so they deducted my deal price from the bill. They misinformed me, but it was still a bargain. They came out within about a week after I purchased the Big Deal. The overall experience was excellent. I was supposed to get back with him about a backup sump pump.

They contacted me after I purchased the big deal. I had to push the appointment out far because I wanted the maintenance done at the end of the season. They were very flexible with the scheduling & they're coming today. So far I'm satisfied with their communication and responsiveness.

George checked the gas log and asked about the chimney. He was very helpful in explaining the nature of our gas log, how it operated, and things that can go wrong with it. He cleaned the burner and it relit. Very nice job, quick and thorough.

They were superb. I appreciate that he put a little things on his feet, he put a big hallett in front of the fireplace and then he took a part and applied wax and cleaned it and walk me through what he was doing and it looks brand new. Somebody had said that, I’ve read about they were trying to sell stuff, you know, and they didn’t like that. He didn’t do any of that, none of that, he did the work, I asked him about the company where were they and had a nice chat with them and then put it back together and then left. I just give them an A plus. In fact, he reminded me I have paid for it and it’s like you already paid for it and I’m like, oh yeah I forgot. My mind have paid him and then I have to go back and get it, you know what I mean, so I appreciate that.

These guys were very professional and the schedulers were very accommodating. I purchased this deal on a Friday and they contacted me saturday stating they could come Monday; but I didn't see the email until late at night and responded to that. I called them Monday morning to see if they could still come out and they said they could. They were professional from the get go. They called 20-30 mins in advance to say they would be arriving. When they arrived they put on the booties to keep from tracking in dirt. They took their time to find all the vents and explain everything along the way. If they ran into a problem, which they did with a couple vents, they let us know and explained what they could do. We recently purchased an older home and a lot of the vents had been painted over, making the job more difficult for them. One vent was glued on and they were able to remove it with our permission. No damage done. There are a lot of vents in my house and they did all but one and explained why they couldn't. The only thing they missed is screwing back on one return grill on the main floor (not a big deal), as I said, we have a lot of vents The showed the pictures of how dirty the vents were and did their best to clean up. I would definitely use this company again and am considering using them for regular system checkups.

The service went very well. They did a great job. I had the same work done before and paid more last time for a different company. They were on time.

They were excellent. I was very pleased with them. They did a much better job than what somebody had done the same job a few years ago. They were very thorough and I was very impressed by them and I am definite I would use them again. They seemed very knowledgeable, in particular, they seemed more knowledgeable than the people who installed an air purifier in my furnace system and it did not just work right although they did let me know that even though they installed it right the head guy said that they have put it in the wrong place. It should have been down lower. These 2 guys seemed particularly knowledgeable and did a very thorough job. They kind of went beyond what you would expect. They were polite and they asked for permission and they were careful about putting things on their shoes. They went out of their way not to interfere with what I was doing, not to make noise while I was working on with my paper work. They were just very accommodating, they did their work and it is their competence that struck me the most. They were just highly competent in what they were doing. Their price, it was a little more than what I paid earlier but it was well worth it.

They contact you to set the appointment up, so you don't have to put anything in your calendar. When they fixed our fireplace, they pretty much didn't stop until it was completed. They came out and cleaned it and said some parts are pretty old and I would get much better service if I replace those parts and they didn't charge for the second trip out to do that. We were really happy with them, so we ended up hiring them on an annual basis to do our furnace and the fireplace.

I purchased a $50 for $100 worth of plumbing Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was okay. They came out and did the job, but I did not think I got a great deal for such a small job. I was told the price of the Big Deal only covered the service call so there were additional charges, but I don't recall what they were.

Very well, very efficient. Showed up on time, was very informative.

I was expecting more. It is the first time i get my chimney inspected.

Rich came over and did all the work. He was really excellent, and helped us with a lot of issues around the house: some were not even included in his duty, but he was really experienced and so nice to point them out to us, and helped us to fix them for free. In particular, he identified several important safety issues: he noticed that our electric cables and water valves were touching, which no one else had noticed, and he even helped us to find and fix a gas leak outside the house. He dealt with each task and didn't leave until all the work was done. We are very grateful for all his hard work and good advice.

It seems great. He did a great job and he was on time. He gave us some good advice and we ended up getting some other services from him. We just have it installed by other company and we were not happy with them; we had some issues with opening because it was a two way fireplace so he came back and sealed up the side that was on the porch and worked on it.

Service was very professional. We will use their services in the future.

Nice home services checked out a gas fireplace that was no longer working. They made the fix required within the coupon rate that we purchased. They followed the services up with a call asking if we needed anything else and notifying us that we still had a $99 credit to use. During this call, I asked if the fireplace was safe to use without additional modification. The representative checked with the employee that completed the services and called me back to inform us the fireplace was good to use with no safety concerns. I would use again. Good service and follow-up.

Dominic and Nino, did an outstanding job. Not only did they arrive within my scheduled time, they were very clean and professional throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer every question that I had and asked me if I was satisfied with their work which I appreciated very much. I have another preventive maintenance projects to complete this spring and NICE is at the top of my list to call. I will also be letting my friends, family and colleagues know about their outstanding service.

We purchased a deal through Angie's List for 170.00 for the cleaning of all of our vents including the dryer vent. I am usually skeptical about purchasing deals but since we have used NICE on 2 other occasions for different reasons and liked their services, I jumped on the opportunity to get our vents cleaned by them with the Angie's List deal. They responded immediately (via email thru Angie's List) to our purchase to set up a date to perform the service, they were out within a week. Nino and Julian showed up on time and walked me through the process of what they would be doing, counted all the vents went straight to work, the process took no more than 3 hours from the time they arrived and left. Nino and Julian were very friendly, respectful and professional. Would highly recommend them to others.
