It went very well. I purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List. They were very busy with service calls through the Big Deal so at first it was a little challenging to schedule quickly. However, as this was part of a home inspection list for a home sale, the company was good about prioritizing the service call. They called multiple times to confirm the appointment before the actual day of service. The technician was friendly and efficient. The only hiccup was that he insisted on collecting payment at the end of the service. However, a call and an email to the company was all that it took to get a refund for the additional fee.

I hired NICE Home Services to install an injector pump in 3/2014. The pump was rarely used but had problems almost immediately after installation. NICE Home Services came back and "fixed" it two or three times, and eventually the pump died for good. It has now refused to take any responsibility to replace the faulty pump because it is past their warranty period. The problems with their warranty expiration excuse is that First, NICE HOME SERVICES CHOSE AND INSTALLED A CHEAP and SUBSTANDARD pump without consulting me first Second, Nice Home Services was called to fix the pump multiple times during the warranty period. They got it working temporarily, but it is indisputable that NICE HOME SERVICES FAILED TO IDENTIFY THE REAL PROBLEM - that the pump they had chosen was a faulty pump and should have been replaced when it was still under warranty. Third, when the pump finally died, NICE HOME SERVICES REFUSED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. They know they chose the substandard pump. They know they were called to fix the same problem and they did not really fix the problem. And now they want to charge me almost $900 to install the same substandard pump or pay over $1300 for a good pump. When I talked to the manager Freddie, he kept saying he wanted to make things right, but obviously that's all B.S. because NICE HOME SERVICES REFUSED TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT THEY HAD CREATED. The senior manager (perhaps the owner), Craig, is simply too cheap and irresponsible to do the right thing. To Freddie and Craig - I hope it is worth the few hundred dollars you saved to p*** off a customer who has paid you monthly for a service contract and hired you to do multiple plumbing and HVAC projects. NICE HOME SERVICES IS OVERPRICED and ADDS SIGNIFICANT MARKUP to the hardware they install. For the higher price, I though I could count on you to act with integrity. I was wrong. I will never hire you again. And to you potential customers out there - learn from my mistake or USE NICE HOME SERVICES AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

He could not tell if the drain was a "french" drain meaning it drains into the ground or if it was tied into the sewer. He said it was expensive to snake out the drain so we didn't do anything about it at the time. We didn't feel like we got a good value for the $100 for $50 deal since he didn't actually do anything for our problem.

Wow! Where do I begin with this supplier?! Let me first start by noting that I cam in contact with NICE Home Services, on May 29, 2015, because they were suggested, as top-notch reliable, by my home warranty company AND "a popular review site" (Hint, Hint). I figure the encounter would be seamless. I scheduled an appointment for both services (plumbing & HVAC) to be done on June 3, 2015 and was given a time window of 8AM - 12PM. Easy!!! This was the best part of my experience with this supplier. June 3rd arrived and what I expected to be fairly simple appointments did not go that way! Keeping in mind that I was provided with a time window, I did not worry about the whereabouts of the servicemen until 11AM approached. However, I still did not call NICE Home services to inquire until 12:03PM. It was then that I was informed that the HVAC technician was running behind and would "be there soon" and that the driver would call when when he was on the way. But, there was no mention about the plumber; I had to ask again. Then was told, they had no idea what was going on with the plumber and they research then call me back. Well, 12:30 rolled in and no call from NICE Home. The HVAC tech arrived about 1:30PM. Continue to keep in mind that the scheduled plumber has yet to arrive, nor has anyone called from NICE Home to provide an ETA. I called a total of five times before I was informed that the plumber was "experiencing an issue at another job and unable to make to me during the scheduled time frame". At close to 4PM, I received a call from the plumber stating that he was on his way and confirmed that it was okay to still come. Within 30 minutes of the plumber calling me, I finally received a call from NICE Home dispatch ('Elizabeth"). However, the call was to inform me that the plumber was no longer coming to my home and that they would need to reschedule, which they did for June 10th in order to "accommodate my schedule". RIDICULOUS!!!! If NICE Home was so respectful of their clients time, the plumber would have showed up on the first day, or they should have assigned another plumber. To be fair, I want to note that the HVAC technician who came to my home was very professional and appeared knowledgeable. He diagnosed my issue quickly and shared his findings with me ("Ma'am, you have no disconnect switch, a clogged condenser coil, a 'broken' compressor' and your system needs a full cleaning). The next issue occurred after the HVAC tech left my home. I was told that I needed to receive an authorization from my warranty company in order to complete the repair. Fine with me and totally understandable and reasonable. However, NICE Home did not send my work order recommendations over to the warranty company until Saturday, June 6, 2015. So, that's two full business days before my service requests findings were addressed. Because this upset me, I asked to confer with a manager. I was told that I would need to speak with the service manager, "Freddie". Though, he was unavailable and would call me back. I NEVER heard from "Freddie". June 10th arrived and the plumber showed up on time. The plumber was very pleasant and worked diligently to fix my issues. He answered all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about many different systems. The plumber seemed to remedy the issues. However, within an hour of him leaving, I discovered that one of my issues (a slow drain) was still present. I called NICE Home to see if they can have him, or another plumber, return to remedy the issue. I was told "NO! You must call back the warranty company and have them resubmit the work order." Totally ludicrous, in my opinion. Again, I asked to speak with the service manager, whom I was told is "Freddie". Again "Freddie" was unavailable and I was told that he would return my call. At this point, I was already over NICE Home and called the warranty company. I NEVER heard from "Freddie". On June 12th, I received another call from "Elizabeth" at NICE Home and was told that my HVAC parts had arrived and that she would schedule, one again, both the HVAC tech and the plumber to return on the same day - June 18th. She also offered my a $50 credit toward any future service with the company to apologize for the inconveniences. While $50 comes nowhere close to what my time is worth, per hour, I did appreciate the gesture. I also informed her that I was still waiting on a call from the service manager, "Freddie" and provided her with three telephone numbers and an email. She assured me that he would return my call. I NEVER heard from "Freddie". SMH On June 17th, I received two calls from NICE Home. Once call was from an automated system confirming my appointments for June 18th, 8AM - 12PM. The other call was from the supposed sales manager, "Elizabeth" offering me a discount on additional new services that had been quoted. I kindly told her that I would prefer to wait until my existing items were completed before I made a final decision about acquiring new items from NICE Home because of my unfavorable experiences. On June 18th, I received a call that NICE Home services had cancelled the plumbing service because of over booking and that I should contact the warranty company for a new provider! Now, I'm thinking that this company is absurd and a big joke! I simply asked of the HVAC person was still planning to show up. Yes! But, this guy, as experienced as he seemed, showed up 3 minutes after the time window. He "worked on" my unit for nearly four hours , which made me late for another appointment that is an hour away from my home, with the supposed parts to complete the repair. When he was ready to close out the job and walk me through the issues. He provided me with the EXACT SAME diagnosis as the first HVAC technician. I politely told him what the other tech told me and I thought he was coming to fix everything. Instead, he told me that he was there to "install a wire harness kit for the compressor" because that's what the previous technician reported. I was totally flabbergasted, as it had been well over 90 degrees, and the insinuation here was that I would have to wait again for the same diagnosis and recommendation to be sent over for repair authorization! Now, I have no problem waiting a day for any type of authorization, but the incompetence of the first technician to properly relay information that he verbally shared with me, yet again totally wasted my time. On June 19th, I called, NICE Home again, in order to discuss this item with the service manager, "Freddie" and I was placed on hold for 17 minutes, having a representative "Netiphia" check in to see if I still wanted to hold or if I wanted to leave a message. I told her that I would hold. However, I was disconnected! Not sure if it was intentional - not even doubting that as an option with this company - I called back. I believe that there was a "Sherry" or "Denise" that answered and I explained that I had been hold for "Freddy" and was disconnected. She placed me on hold for less than 2 minutes and came back to line noting that there were two callers ahead of me. I told her that I didn't care and would wait as I wanted to get to the bottom of all of the confusion. She placed me on hold again, less than a minutes, and came back to the line requesting my information for "Freddie" to call me back... Of course, I did not hear from "Freddie". I called back thirty minutes later, only to be informed by "Netiphia" that NICE Home had called my warranty company and refused to completed the work. She informed me that, I would need to contact the warranty company to have a new provider assigned. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NICE Home has the worst customer service of any vendor that I have ever encountered. They are not respectful with the time of customers nor are they organized well enough in manner to be rated as "top-notch" in any service industry. Having received excuse after excuse about current issues they are having internally and multiple apologies, I can say that this a company that I would not recommend to my worst enemy! Luck for NICE Home they are not a company that services commercial properties, as I would inform my colleagues in Facilities Management to NEVER use them for anything! Two weeks of dealing with this company, I still have the same issues!

Only one or two minor things were done. I don't really remember now. It was back in November 2014. The technician was supposed to email me a copy of the receipt which I never received. I was supposed to receive $250 worth of work for $150.00. The diagnostic took most of that $150. I received no where near $250 worth of services. I ended up calling a local plumber I had used in the past to do the job (at a lower cost and better service). I felt like this was a real rip off.
Description of Work: The plumber was supposed to do some general plumbing services. As i recall, he cleaned hair out of a sink drain (which wasn't that labor intensive) and attempted to fix a leaking tub faucet (which still leaked). There were other things which needed to be done but at the costs he was charging, no thanks. What he did was waste my time and money.

Service was scheduled for some time between 8-12 AM. At 1240 I received a call notifying me that the techinician was running behind schedule (well no kidding) and they would call me when he was on his way. By 415 PM I still had not received an update so I called them back. Yes, the technician was running behind and had to wait on a part at the current location and would I like to reschedule or still have the technician show up. I told them no I did not want to reschedule and I would still like him to come as I had now had to take the entire day off of work. The technician eventually showed up around 730 PM. George was great and he went above and beyond to make my fireplace look brand new. I felt badly for him as it was not his fault that he was still at work past 830 PM. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the intricacies of my fireplace. The actual workmanship was great but puncuality and communication from the office was terrible.

The provider was fantastic! For personal reasons, we needed the gas fireplace fixed sooner rather than later. The provider was very flexible in scheduling an appointment for us very quickly. The technician who came to the house was wonderful. A great personality, obviously knows what he's doing, and we believe he went above and beyond to ensure all components of the gas log insert was working correctly.

NICE Home Services came out to clean the fireplace, as it was operating intermittently, if at all. The assessment was that a "deep cleaning" was needed, as opposed to a regular cleaning. I found this disappointing, as the cost increase was significant (+ $300 or so), but I'm not the expert- I can only trust what the technician said. The bottom line is: I didn't want to pay the increased price, but the dated (probably 10 year old) fireplace looked, and functioned, great when the technician left my house. Again, a little pricey, but if I get a number of years from the fireplace going forward, it will prove worth it.

After all the difficulties, the owner of the company understood the problems and offered services for a new fireplace. At this point, we will wait and do more research before proceeding with an urgency based install.
Description of Work: Appointment was to service, clean and diagnose any problems. There was a faulty part that was ordered. Problem was the part cost $800. We agreed to the order. After the reinstall of existing unit, nothing worked. Before we at least had a little flame. In a week the new part arrived. the installer spent several hours working and then informed me i would need another even costlier part. At this point I asked to have the part removed and not charged for the part. We spent the rest of the winter without a functioning fireplace. While the original is 15 years old, we will eventually install something more modern.
