Technician was very knowledgeable and professional. Answered all questions and performed excellent work!

In one line: Does not seem so knowledgeable on the work they do. Pushy on additional services. Technician's report about the furnace: 10 year old, so almost reaching its life. Recommended 2 services for the Furnace. 1. Ignitor replacement 2. Cleanup of blower fan I wanted to get #1 done, but he did not have parts ready (I'm glad, it turned out I don't need it). Pushy on #2 and I did not want to spend ~ $300 on maintenance of a dying unit. Technician tried harder pushing again and again that it doesn't make sense not to get #2 work done, but I was not convinced. Later called in another HVAC technician to check on Ignitor, was told it looks fine and doesn't need replacement. 4 months almost since this maintenance is done, neither the ignitor, nor the HVAC died so far. Water heater guy came another day, did a decent job of checking all faucets and water outlets throughout the home. Wrote the report that water heater is at the end of life and shows leaks already. The leak was from a loosened humidifier pipes (that I figured out myself fixed myself later), but not the water heater. No signs of leaks so far and it is still working. Recommended replacement of the sump pump and I don't want to even put the quoted price over here. Unbelievably high. However this technician did not push on getting recommended services for additional price. Both the reports on Furnace and Water heater were proven to be incorrect as they are still working.

The install went pretty smooth but I am very dissatisfied with what I view as unethical/shady practices. The technician tried extremely hard to up sell and try to convince me to replace the heating system sighting corrosion and implying to my tenants that something would go wrong with the heating system. When I called the company for further clarification the receptionist said she'd get back to me but no response. I had another company come in for a second opinion and they advised that no replacement was needed and that the heating system is now working fine.

I signed up for the Maintenance plan that includes the plumbing, fireplace, and HVAC. The workman (Kenneth) who can out for my plumbing annual service was very knowledgeable and provided me with great information about my system. I was provided a quote on a new water heater and for my own "peace of mind", I decided to replace my old heater. The installation took a little longer than I expected but overall, everything worked out. I appreciate that he took the time to explain my system and answered any questions I had along the way. I would recommend the maintenance plan.

I bought an Angie's Deal $695 replacement hot water heater. I was especially impressed that the deal included a new cut-off valve and expansion tank as part of the deal. These two items are (I think) intentionally not listed in "deals" but are normally necessary and would be added to the cost by other providers. It was comforting to know that this cost was all inclusive. There were some initial communications issues in coming up with a date for the install. I provided the three dates as options and received an email indicating that I had been scheduled - but no date was listed. I responded to the email, but eventually ended up calling to confirm the date. I received several reminders as the date and hour approached. The install went smoothly and the tech did a good job of cleaning up the area where he worked.

They were expensive. I paid $400 and that was ridiculous! They were here for about half an hour. My tub still backs up somewhat and we have to use a plunger. I would never use them again. There were here on time but what good is that if the job isn't great.

Technician Daniel arrived on time. Took time to explain everything he was doing.

This was a big deal purchase and it was fine. They came out and did what I needed. They came out a couple of days after I ordered the deal. They were pretty quick to respond. This was the first time I used them. One technician came out to help me. He was wearing professional clothing. Everything was pretty much spot on. In this area I think the price is pretty competitive, but I was also paying for a special so I think they were gaining more business. It would have been more if it wasn't for the special. The cleaning, I thought the guy did phenomenal. He took the entire fireplace apart, cleaned everything and put it back together. The service was the only reason I would give it a B because when he serviced the fireplace he never actually modified the coupling which is the whole reason why the fireplace did not turn back on and the main reason I had them come out. After cleaning it, it was fine, but a few weeks later it did not turn back on and I had to do all the service myself. Otherwise it would be a perfect A. They were a nice company.

Prompt, professional and courteous. This is a rental home for us and they explained everything to me and made the repairs to our renter's and our satisfaction.

It went fine. Provider didn't have to do anything and only charged me for the visit.

Very friendly, explained what the problem was, and because it was minor and I provided the new batteries for the receiver unit, he didn't charge anything for repairing it.

The representative was clean and polite but there was such big a sales push and the price estimate was much higher than I imagined that I declined any work They continued to call even after my decision

Service was prompt, exceptionally thorough and professional. I was very impressed by the knowledge and attention to detail of the technition- he disassembled the unit, carefully tested for gas leaks, thoughly cleaned all components. provided new embers and gravel bed and tested the finished unit. He worked steadely and efficiently for over two hours. I could see that his emphasis was on providing a outstanding product, not rushing and taking shortcuts. I have complete confidence in Nice Home Services.

I had to remind the technician everything that needed to be performed during the inspection. Company tried to sell me a really expensive replacement unti for around $4,000. I tried for 3-4 weeks to get the paperwork from their work, spoke with several "supervisors" and technicians to get specifics of what they were recommending. I never got anything. I will never do business with this company again.

The installer was very thorough and knowledgeable. Very professional. I have trouble when I set up an appointment for a specific four hour block of time and then when the reminder notice comes the times have changed. In the first scheduling we had to reschedule because the company moved the time from 8 to 12 to 10 to 2 and we had other commitments. With the rescheduled time, again it was from 8 to 12 and then they moved it to a five hour block from 10 to 3. Scheduling is difficult I know, but people should not be required to sit around waiting for the repair company like that.

Update: just because the company says "please accept a full refund" in their response below does not actually mean I recurved a refund! Those are just words. The cleaning part went fine, but the tune-up part did not. Our fireplace had for a while started taking longer than usual to fire up on very cold mornings, but it would eventually ignite. When the technician arrived, he verified the operation of the fireplace, took a picture of it burning, then turned it off and proceeded to disassemble and clean everything. When he was done, he did not verify function of the fireplace and like an idiot I did not think about making him do so. The next morning, the fireplace would not start at all. I contacted NICE and they scheduled another technician to come look at it 2 weeks later. He poked around under the fireplace for a while, almost electrocuted himself by shorting something out with a loud pop and puff of smoke, and after a little more testing and getting the system to ignite by jumping the ignition control circuit, said to fix it we would need to replace the Intermittent Pilot Ignition (IPI) module for $490. I looked into IPI modules and saw they cost about $90, so I asked if they would replace the IPI module with one I bought since my fireplace hadn't been totally broken till after my first appointment with them. They sent a third guy out -- on Christmas Eve day, bless him -- and he was not comfortable with the particular part number of the IPI module I bought. Even though the Honeywell documentation said it would work with my ignition system, the dash numbers on the byzantine part numbering system weren't 100% exact (although the voltage and mode of operation specifications were just what my fireplace required), the technician was not comfortable taking responsibility that it would work properly and not cause even more problems. So, my fireplace is cleaner than it was before I bought the service, but it does not make fire anymore, and I'm reluctant to give the same company almost $500 to make it work again. I wish I had just made the first technician stick around until he put it back in working order like it was when he got there.

When I called, I spoke with Elizabeth H. She made up a quote emailed to me. The evening before, the appointment I received an automated call stating to expect Fernando R. between 0800 and 1300 tomorrow. The next morning, I received another automated call promptly at 0800 telling me that Fernando R. would arrive in less than 30 minutes. I met Fernando at the door at 0830. Very Punctual! Fernando got right to work after he put on his booties (to protect my wood floors). He finished the installation in an hour and was extremely professional and very cordial. He hauled the old range away and stayed a few moments to ensure the new range worked. I paid Fernando via Check (PayPal or CC) would have made this a PREMIUM experience. I would recommend NICE as they were very professional and efficient!

Two men arrived - very kind, very professional and punctual. They correctly detected the problem and gave us an estimate of $470 to fix our 2 year old gas fireplace (that cost included replacing the remote as well). We paid about $980 for the entire fireplace so this seemed steep. My husband looked up the part from the place where we bought the fireplace. It cost only $47. When it came, we plugged it in and the fireplace worked. No need for a new remote and the part cost a fraction of the cost Nice was going to charge us. So although they knew their business, I felt gouged on the estimate which is why I gave them As in everything but an F in price and overall, a C.

I have called numerous vendors off of Angie's List for air duct cleaning. If this is a service you need, do not waste your time with Nice Home Services. Average price for truck mounted systems has been $350 and for non-truck mounted, between $175 and $199. Nice Home Services wants over $800 for non-truck mount!!!! Very overpriced! When I told the phone rep that the prices were too high, he tried to sell me a maintenance program that would include a duct inspection. ...I called because I need the service. Not a maintenance program to allow a tech in my house to tell me I need a cleaning service that is QUADRUPLE the price of the competitors.

The gentleman was very professional and very personable. Was prompt and performed the task that I had paid for. Very nice person.

The fireplace had never worked since being installed. The tech found the problem and quickly fixed cost effectively.

On October 30, 2015 Nice Home Services came to my property to give me an estimate for some work to be done. I informed them that I needed them to follow the Insurance company's itemized list of things covered. When I received the estimate it had mostly things that are not on the Insurance company's list. I called them the next day asking to have the estimate reflect the items covered by the insurance company. I called them other times and left messages. I called them on 3/30/2015 @ 4:26 pm and spoke with Anthony and I explained to him that I had not received a corrected estimate and he told me that he would send a corrected copy of the estimate on that day. I also told him to be sure to go by the Insurance company's list of items covered. Anthony told me that they will send a new estimate and to-date I have not received that estimate nor did I get any work done for the Special that I paid for in the amount of $150 for $250 of plumbing work. I feel that I should either get the work done for my money or a refund. Anna Frazier-Curry

The two-man team did a great job. They've been touched up paint the back of the fireplace. Once they were finished fireplace looked good as new. They also adjusted the pilot light and put in some new embers to complete the project.
