Every thing went very well from the first contact to the installation. There was a small hickup at the installation. Munkh had talked me into adding a backsplash. It turned out to be in the way of the faucet stopper lever and we decided after some disscusion to take the backsplash off. He had to now custom cut one side of the counter top, to fit to the wall on the side, he did not charge for the cut and gave me a discount on the backsplash. This was very generous of him and I was pleasently surprised. I will hire him again for future projects.

The price was much better than the other estimates we had received, the quality of their work was excellent, and quick, and in general there was zero hassle involved in working with Anga and his team. There were a couple minor issues with the install as we had existing tile backsplash, but Anga came by to mitigate those small issues the same day! The price included replacing the 2 sinks with ones we were able to pick out, as well as the plumbing to finish the job. All inclusive with no hidden costs. I was nervous as this was a major project for us, but Anga made the whole experience painless and have to say the result exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Anga and Merrifield to anyone with this type of project in mind.

Anga and his crew were great. His price was the best and he was quick to provide answers very quickly when questions arose. This was why we decided to select Merrifield over the other vendors. He allowed us to pick out our own slab at a local distributor and provided pricing information for each slab that we liked. He was very quick to respond, typically via text message, which was great for me as we had many questions throughout the process. The kitchen turned out great and he was quick to address any concerns we had throughout the project. The project was completed on time and on budget. We are very happy.

We received estimates from multiple people, nobody could reach Merrifield's price. Merrifield was always very punctual, polite and professional when they came to our home. They didn't use hard selling techniques, but instead allow us the space to think about what we wanted to do. Merrifield had a huge variety of samples on hand when they provided us with the estimate. After sifting through all the options, they left samples behind so we could see how the granite looked in different lighting. They are connected with multiple granite sellers, which was good news for us. We didn't like the available variety that was at one place, so they told us to check out another. If you've never purchased granite before, you will want to see the full slab - the samples are good for selecting colors, but you don't get the full appreciation of the granite until you see it in a slab. Merrifield has been very flexible with us. We had to reschedule twice due to work and they never pushed back or complained. When they arrived to put in the granite, they were not the fastest moving people, but each movement was very deliberate, which was a good thing. Come to find out the walls of our home are not square and due to the multiple angles of our counter top, the granite required some modifications. The largest challenge is that they had grind down some the front of one piece so that it would perfectly align with the adjoining piece. Unless you were here, you would never know what they had to do. The granite is beautiful and the install was very well done. The install took 10 hours! So be ready if you have some complex angles in your home. Also, there's no way to contain the dust that is created when they cut the hole for the stove top. They have to do it in place since the granite will break due to a lack of support. So just be prepared to do some dusting of the surrounding areas once they leave. They kept the mess to a minimum with their shop vac as well doing work outside where possible. If you decide to get a sink with one side bigger than the other to make sure you have them write this down on the order. Great job Merrifield. Thanks again.

We dealt with Munkh throughout the process and he was always very helpful and responsive despite some of the complications involved with ordering the island leg and skirt kit from a third party supplier myself. Munkh contracted out with a regular partner of his for all of the carpentry work and they were there for most of the week working hard long hours to finish everything up as quickly as possible. We are extremely happy with all of the results and would absolutely use and recommend Merrifield Granite at every opportunity. Merrifield's price came in significantly lower than any other company we spoke with and the quality of work did not disappoint.

Description of Work: I just had a small job of removing and reinstalling and cutting a piece of granite in my kitchen. When I tried to get a quote most companies would beat around the bush and not answer questions quickly. Or give me a price that was close to just replacing the granite. Merrifield was direct an easy to work with. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job! If they take small jobs this well I would be sure to trust them with the big ones.

Munkh was fantastic to work with. We were doing a complete kitchen remodel, and Merrifield was one of three bidders on our countertops and backsplash. Their prices were very competitive based on the bids we received. When looking for our granite, he directed to a number of distributors and was 100% engaged in helping us find the correct slab that we wanted. When there was an issue with the distributor, he even sent someone to the distributor that same day to ensure that we didn't lose our slab. Installation only took a matter of hours, and we're very pleased with the result. For the backsplash, there was a small hiccup, but Merrifield's response to the problem is truly what defines them as an "A" level service provider. Through a miscommunication, the tile was installed incorrectly and needed to be re-installed. Instead of having to go buy new tile, Munkh and his team came in, removed the drywall with the tile attached, and replaced the drywall. They then took the tile back to their shop where they removed the drywall/thinset/etc so that the tile could then be re-installed. All of this just so I wouldn't have to go purchase additional tile. The second installation went smoothly, and we couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. Merrifield did a fantastic job.

Description of Work: Had new granite countertops, new tile floor and molding put in. They are perfectionist, and as a result, took a little longer than anticipated. However, I'm glad they did because they made sure everything was perfect. They are very prompt and will always get back to you. The only problem we had, was our water shut off valve started to leak a few days after they completed the job. The shut-off valve was plastic and was in the house prior to there job. They still came out, charged me for a new shut off valve, but did not charge me for the labor. They wanted me to be happy, and they will make you happy too. Highly recommend this company.

He was on time, very courteous and explained the process in detail &gave me info re. their warranty. I had 3 other companies come in and give me estimates and they were $600 -$1,200 more than Merrifield. Due to other issues with the house we are putting off the granite counter tops for now, but as soon as we can budget it I am calling Merrifield Granite. Also- they are highly recommended by a relator I know who uses them for several properties he owns as well as his own house.

Merrifield came out, measured the counters and gave me an estimate. After I selected the particular slab at the wholesaler, they delivered and installed the countertop within 3 days. The job was well done and the installers were very professional. Two comments: 1) When answering the phone, it would help if Merrifield would say something along the lines of "Merrifield Granite, may I help you" and not just "Yes?" 2) When arranging for delivery, give a time and then stick to it. They only said that they would deliver on Monday and didn't give a time. When I asked for a time, they said "10:30" and showed up at 9:30. If I had had to go out on an errand, they would have been SOL.

I had a quick deadline and I needed within a week. They were direct; they didn't try to manipulate figures like some of the other companies. They gave me the best figure and they were still able to negotiate some side options as well. The great on price; for the price that came in it was right on exactly what I was looking for and they had better prices than everyone else that I spoke with in the area.

Anga did a great job of communicating with us throughout the process. He helped us pick the right color, and worked with us as we took our time to get what we wanted. The installation also went smoothly and the installers/plumber were also very professional. I referred them to my neighbor and they are also having a good experience so far. They are still working on it, but i expect a good recommendation coming out from there as well.

They were exceptional. They were quality workmanship. They were on time and meticulous in their work and cleanup. Monkh helped me select the stone at the distributor show room. We went to multiple show rooms. He really helped educate me in to what to look for the stone. I truly appreciated it! It would overwhelming to do on my own. Most of all, his estimate was extremely reasonable! I had multiple estimates by well-known firms and he was by the best! I would recommend him to friends.

I emailed Merrifield Granite and received a prompt response from Bruno. I was asked to submit photos of the counters to allow them to assess whether they could fix the damage. After Bruno saw the photos, he replied that they could do it and informed me that their minimum charge is $295 (of which $95 is paid up front) for 1.5 hours of labor. I scheduled an appointment and two technicians came out at the appointed time. The quality of the work performed was excellent as was the professionalism and courtesy of the technicians. I only gave a B rating on price because I believe that given the very short time they were at my home (less than 30 minutes), the $295 minimum charge seemed high. Despite the high minimum, however, I would work with them again because the quality of the work was very good. I can barely tell where the repairs were made!

We were extremely happy with Merrifield Granite and Marble. Our point of contact was Munk, and he was extremely professional and helpful throughout the process. Despite having difficult customers such as us, Munkh was patient and followed up on all our requests. My wife changed her mind on what granite to pick a number of times. At first she wanted the "Taj Mahal", so Munk called several stone yards to find the best deal for us. She then changed her mind two more times, going with the "Mother of Pearl" and the "Sea Pearl", and Munk always obliged. My wife was meticulous in performing stain and scratch tests on the granite sample pieces, but missed the opportunity with the last slab. Yet, we still went ahead and ordered the slab, we also asked Munk to supply us with a sample once the slab was delivered to his workshop. Unfortunately our stain and scratch test performed very poorly on the sample, and my wife was on the verge of tears. I called up Munk, and he said he'll try and get it exchanged with the "Taj Mahal". To our delight he was successful and was able to exchange the slab. He came out and took the measurements, asking us if anything will change to which we said "no". Well, as you might guess, the contractor had to change something, so we had to call him again. Munk didn't have any hesitation to come out again and re-measure our countertop space. Following the installation we had to shorten a cover panel, which exposed a small portion of the unfinished edge. Again, Munk had no problem to get his installers to come out again and finish the exposed edge so that it matched the other edge. We're grateful to Munk for the patience he has shown us.

We decided to go forward with the project and during the next week Munkh called me once to let me know that he had ordered the Silestone slabs and again to let me know that they arrived. We scheduled installation for a week later and his installers arrived on time. They were very professional and protected my new cabinets carefully so there wasn't a scratch anywhere. The countertop is seamed in one place and when the seam was finished, the installer asked me to feel the line to see if I was happy with it. The material naturally bows ever so slightly and one small part of the seam was slightly raised on one side. It was just a couple of millimeters and I thought it was fine. The installer said if I didn't mind the extra time, he would re-do it to see if he could get it smoother. He then went through the pretty involved process of scraping out the seam, removing the bonding material and re-bonding the seam. It came out perfectly and I really appreciated the extra work at no additional cost. The installer cleaned and sealed the countertop and gave us advice on how to care for it. During the installation, Munkh came in and closely examined the work. I am sure that an owner from one of the other countertop companies would never have come by to see the work. I thought that Munkh or the installers would ask for a payment check right there when installation was complete, but instead, I got an invoice by email a few days later. I appreciated that there was no pressure to pay them on the spot. I think that when Munkh planned our countertop he really thought about our project in detail. He suggested a piece of sidesplash in a spot where the cabinet panel on the side of the refrigerator meets the contertop. We are putting tile on our backsplash, but this was a spot where we can't put tile and my husband and I didn't think about the potential damage that could occur in this spot over time if it wasn't protected and neither did any of the other countertop companies that we talked with. Munkh emailed me about the extra piece, went ahead and cut it, brought it to my house, and told me if I didn't want it after all, there would be no charge. I think that is excellent customer service. You should know that my kitchen is just 10' X 12' and that I don't have a big, fancy house. I feel like I got the same treatment as someone spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars on their kitchen. Some things I learned in the process: go to one of the big showrooms to look at all the stone and man-made products and pick out what you want. Then get bids from smaller companies who aren't paying the cost of lots of employees, a big showroom, and a big inventory and passing that cost on to you. The smaller companies can get the same products as the big companies. Shop around and don't be afraid to let them all know that you are getting bids on the project. Ask who does their installation. It is best if they have their own installers or if they work with just a few installation crews again and again. Don't pay anyone anything up front. The company should be solid enough to be able to buy the product, install it, and invoice you when the work is complete. And don't work with anyone who won't come to your home to look at your specific project, take measurements, and explain everything to you, taking as much time as you need to feel comfortable with the project. I would use this company again and I would recommend them to anyone installing stone or solid surface countertops.
Description of Work: I am remodeling my kitchen and needed new countertops. I am new to my area and got some recommendations from contractors working on my house and stopped at some places I saw just driving around. I wanted a specific color Silestone product and knew that the cost of the actual product was likely to be the same and that any savings I would be able to get would be on the fabrication and installation portion of the services. I got bids from several countertop companies that ranged from $5300 to $7200. Unhappy with these prices, I took a chance and used an internet service that matches your project to area contractors who can do the work and the contractors who are interested call or email you. Munkh at Merrifield Granite and Marble was very persistent in contacting me and very polite and professional when we spoke on the phone. I emailed him a sketch of the kitchen plan and he estimated an exceptionally low price. I was skeptical that I could get the work done to my satisfaction at such a low price (would they be poorly skilled installers??) but agreed to have him come to my house to give me an estimate. At this point I would like to mention that some of the countertop companies I talked with wouldn't even come to my house to measure. They wanted to give me an estimate based entirely on the drawing. One company even wanted me to sign a contract that I would have them do the work BEFORE they came to my house to measure! Munkh arrived on time for our appointment and was very professional. He took his time, talked with us, and explained all aspects of the work. He used a very sophisticated laser device to measure for the countertop and worked hard to figure out how he could save us money by using the countertop slab material as efficiently as possible. He even looked into whether he could save us money by using remnants of the Silestone product that might be available in the area. In the end, there were no remnants big enough for the job, so the price you see was for all new material. Before he left our house he had our final estimate which was $1000 less than the lowest estimate we had received anywhere else. I asked him how he could price the work so low and he was very honest and told me that he worked a lot with contractors in the past and now wants to build the consumer end of his business. He also works from a small storefront and does not pay the rent nor carry a huge inventory of granite, marble, and quartz products that the big showrooms do. This all made sense. We were also happy to learn that he has his own crews of installers so the work is tightly controlled. Munkh also told us that we wouldn't have to pay for the work until it was complete and we were happy with it. There were no up front payments to cover the cost of materials that some contractors wanted.

When we contacted Merrifield Granite and Marble we negotiated directly with the owner Munkh Sereegotov. Munkh did not express any concerns about the top being in one piece and was very instrumental in helping us find the right granite. He directed us to the place where we could find it and once we identified the granite he immediately bought it. He came to take measurements one day and the countertop was fabricated and installed the next day. The whole process from the time that Munkh too measurements to the time that the installation was completed took approximately 26 hours. He did the job for less than half of the price that many had estimated. This contractor is one of the best that I have dealt with in the past 25 years, and Munkh is the most honest contarctor that I have ever dealt with. Out of 5 star I will give them 6... They are a first class act and do a first class job. They have my highest recommendation in every single category, including they top-notch quality of the job, but more importantly for the integrity, honesty and professionalism that was shown by Munkh during the whole process.
Description of Work: My project involved the fabrication and installation of a granite countertop in the master bathroom of my home. The countertop involved approximately 19-20 square feet to include two porcelain oval sinks and backsplash on 4 sides. The main challenge was that it was an "L" shape to 69" long and 52 inches wide and my wife and I wanted it to be in one piece. I contacted several contractors for estimates and some indicated that they would not do it in one piece because there was a high possibility of cracking as it had 2 sinks and it would be heavy and difficult to handle and installing the second level of the house. Some indicated that they would be willing to do it in one piece but the the price would be much higher. Some even estimated over $3,000. All the contractors indicated that they would not be able to do the job in less than one week.
