Description of Work: Installed a new roof. I was very pleased with the work performed. All roofing materials were delivered a few days prior to the installation date and the team showed up on time early morning. I arrived home about 3:00 pm that afternoon and they were almost completed. I was very satisfied with their work and the new roof looks great! I would recommend Marshall Roofing to friends...

Description of Work: replaced my roof. it looks very nice. the salesperson showed me a booklet of several colors and styles to choose from. he stopped by to check on the work while the replacement was in progress and let me know there were a few sections of plywood that needed replacing. it's been a month or so since the work was done and we have had several heavy all day downpours since and no problems with leaks.

Description of Work: We had a vent stack that was leaking into the house. Marshall recapped and sealed the stack and replaced roof shingles. They nailed back down shingles that had come loose around the chimney, and they recauked all around the roof edge.

Description of Work: This was the second time we used Marshall Roofing for a new roof. We were happy with their service the first time but ended up having to get a new roof sooner than expected because of hail damage. We received quotes from another roofer but Marshall was significantly less expensive and since we had prior good experience, we used them again. And again, we were totally pleased. They were prompt, professional, did quality work, got in and out quickly and cleaned up all of the mess. We could not have asked for anything more. Would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: Marshall roofing started the job and upon mutual agreement halted the job till the spring to finish.....reason was i did not want to complete with inclement weather upon us. the organization is very professional and from the work completed to date, i am satisfied the company is first rate. more later in spring after they finish the full job. so far Marshall's has been very professional!!!!!!

Description of Work: Chris, the technician from Marshall, arrived on time and inspected my roof. He advised I needed to have 6 shingles replaced and at the same time he would caulk around the sky light frames. He also told me that other than the repairs needed my roof looked to be in reasonably good shape and would most likely last another 5-7 years before it needed to be replaced. Then, best of all, he told me he could perform the repairs "on the spot" explaining that he keeps on his truck 10 or so shingles each for the most frequently used types/colors of shingles used in the area. He then proceeded to perform the repairs in a very effective and efficient manner. Chris was professional, courteous and helpful. I would recommend Marshall roofing to anyone interested in having their roof repaired or replaced.

Description of Work: They replaced a couple shingles. They also inspected the roof and even did more than I expected them to do! We discovered our attic fan wasn't working, which they were able to replace at that time as well.

Description of Work: They did a great job repairing my roof after a tree fell through it during the derecho storm last fall. What really impressed me was the fact that, while I was prepared to replace the entire roof, they pointed out that half of the roof was still good for another ten years or so. This honesty really saved me a bundle, and they were very professional on the roof work. I'd call them again in a minute. The only issue I had was with the crew that replaced the damaged rain gutters. They said that they'd call to set up a time to complete that part of the job, since it was a different crew. However, they never called to schedule it, and they showed up at an extremely bad time, while we weren't home. When we arrived they were already well into it, so we didn't make them stop, but it was extremely poor timing. Had we been called to schedule the day, as we had been told, there was no way we would have agreed to have them do the work on this particular day. Overall, though, the quality of the work was very high, and the price was fair. They also did a great job of working with my insurance company.

Description of Work: Marshall Roofing put a new siding, gutters and a roof on our house. All had been damaged and the service was covered by insurance. However, the company's bid was significantly lower than the other contractor who put in a bid. Moreover, Marshall's did a better job in a shorter time than the other contractor. I have plenty of room for comparison because the other contractor performed the same services on 4-6 nearby homes. I would use Marshall Roofing again without hesitation.

Description of Work: We had some minor leakage after Sandy and needed someone to replace some missing shingles on our roof. We called some companies to have them come in for an estimate. It was a very busy time for roofers. One said they have a $1500 minimum, another said business is so good that they would only come for a replacement and tried to convince me that my 15 year old roof was probably too old and needs to be replaced (without seeing it!!). in the end, we got estimates from 3 companies. Description of Work: New roof. Was very pleased that they did not try to scam me, as did many other companies, with a bogus high-priced quote followed by a "deal". Instead, they gave me straightforward, honest pricing.

Description of Work: Even if one person has a bad review with a company I'm going to believe it. I took a chance with this company asked them to come out and give us an estimate for roofing repairs. The guy came out right away and did what was needed to for a quote. And that was the last time we heard from him. It's been over a month and we're still waiting to get something back from them. Either they are extremely unorganized or they don't know how to run a company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service.

Description of Work: Called based on glowing reviews. Called 2 p.m. on a Saturday not long after a storm tore off part of our roof. They said they didn't have anyone who could help that day, but promised someone would call on Monday. Nobody ever did. When I tried to call back on Tuesday, their phone kept giving me a busy signal. I guess they have more clients than they need at this point.

Description of Work: This past July I bought new siding and gutters from Marshall's Roofing and Siding. Previously they installed new windows throughout my townhouse and before that I got a brand new roof for my house. In every aspect of the jobs - all of the jobs - there was no way they could have improved. They did an outstanding job, from start to finish, from estimate to follow up. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Already my energy costs are going down, it's much quieter inside and I have zero leakage from gutters and windows. I wish I could remember who recommended them - a former neighbor I believe. But they were terrific. In every way.

Description of Work: My room was very discolored and worn... looking like it needed replacing. I called Annette for an estimate. She made an appt for Doug to visit within 48 hours. After review, Doug said I didn't need a roof but rather I had a good 5-8 years left on my roof and I actually had a black algae buildup that was making it look the way it was. I had also asked about my skylights being replaced. He said if I wasn't having trouble with them, he would not suggest it until I replace the roof. This is exactly the kind of contractor anyone should be looking for... prompt, professional and honest! They could have talked me into another roof and I would have done it. I will refer them to all my friends.

Description of Work: They did repair on our roof. I'm unsure as to specifics only because my husband used to handle all of the home repair projects. Now, I'm in charge of that, though. I do remember that they appeared to be very professional, very personable, and that they did a good job. They did my neighbor's roof, as well.

Description of Work: Looking for a carpenter for a simple, small job, I called Marshall, who listed "carpentry" as one of their specialties. They sent their carpenter, who came to give me an estimate on two small jobs: one to construct with mostly 2x4s a hanging structure for an art piece to be suspended above our deck's railing. I provided detailed drawings. When the estimate came, both my husband and I choked. The estimate was
