Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows

Everything went well from start to finish - just as scheduled. The guys that came out to work on the house were very hardworking, but did not mind stopping to answer questions or address any concerns I had during the 2 days they were on the job. The roof and new venting system look great, and they did a thorough job of cleaning up afterward as well. We are very satisfied and happy with everything.

Many roofers do not work on flat roofs of the type I have, so Marshall's roofing services seem to be comprehensive. My experiences with everyone in the company were really excellent, from the receptionist and scheduler who answers the phone, to the individuals who looked at my roof, proposed solutions, gave estimates, and made the repairs. It has been only a short time (about a month, maybe less), but my roof has not leaked in the last one or two heavy storms. Whenever I called to discuss scheduling, repairs, etc., the company representatives seemed to know about the job and it wasn't like starting all over again - in this way, I would say the service was personal, as well as professional.

Called several Angie's List companies. Two responded immediately - both came and did an estimate. Prices were comparable, but we felt more comfortable with Marshall's representative. Only glitch was that we scheduled for a Monday repair beginning at around 10 o'clock. The scheduler from Marshall's even called us on the Friday before to confirm. I took off work to be home for them. Monday rolled around and they were not there at 10 so I called. I was told that according to their schedule, work was to be done on Tuesday. I lost my temper and was put on hold to speak with a manager. Someone else came on the line and said that the work was scheduled for Friday. I really lost my temper then and insisted they get someone there on that day - or they can pay me for the time I took off work. Someone came out - but said that the work would have to wait until Tuesday - and that I didn't need to be there because they didn't need to go into the house for the repair. I called the owner and left a message to call me. He called that afternoon, he listened, apologized, and did the right thing as far as I was concerned. Problem solved - and I was a happy camper with the quality of the work performed. I would recommend that emails be sent to confirm date/time of service.

They did the proposal when I wasn't here. I didn't have to be here. They did follow up a couple of times.

He gave me a good estimate and kept it within that total. They were able to do the repair right away. They were able to email me back on the weekend and come out to my house to take care of the leak on the spot.

The quality of the work was very good, but the process of getting to the work was very bad. I was put off a number of times, they got the schedule mixed up and they didn't send people when they said they would. The reason I had stuck with them is because we had two heavy storms and all other roofers were booked up. Once they got here to do the work, the technician was very professional and did quality work. He even took care of a couple other things on the roof that I was not aware of.

They were wonderful! They were very prompt and very courteous. They certainly cleaned up after themselves. We were over all just very pleased. They price was reasonable for this kind of job.

Marshall did a great job. We needed some flexibility in accommodation for hours and dates and they worked with us. They were professional from my first phone call through project completion. Our neighbors were pleased with the experience as well.

Marshall showed up on time and repaired the dormer promptly. No nonsense. Nice to work with.

They scheduled a time to come out and inspect the job. They were on time and provided a detailed estimate for the work. They were about a week late starting the job but let us know in advance that there other work was delayed. They send out a regular scheduling notice that shows where you are on the list so there is no mystery about what is going on. They came and did the job in the time they said it would take. Lynn was our crew leaser and he and the guys work super hard. They kept the area clean while they were working and were very responsive when I asked them to remove a metal exhaust vent that was not used for anything and to spray paint another metal chinney a specific color. They were very professional and did a job that we were very happy with. The only problem I ran into was that in doing all the work, they didn't realize that there was no venting in the attic. I had a bit of trouble getting them to come look at and do the work initially but when I contacted Troy, the owner, he was all over it. He came out himself to check out the work and was not afraid to get dirty to make sure that the work was done to my complete satisfaction. The work came in on price which was good compared to bids from other reputable companies.

They did a very good job. They came when they said they could. It took them a while to come out but they finally came and did a very good job. I would recommend them and use them again.

I was very impressed because the owner of the company called me back on a Sunday night 20 minutes after I called. I was able to schedule someone to come by when it was convenient for me.

I got three roofers to give me bids and Marshall was very close to the highest bidder. The estimator, Doug McLeaf, was very prompt, I believe honest and extremely professional. He was the only bidder who climbed up into the attic to check and see if there was any rotting plywood on the roof that needed to be replaced. Very thorough. One bidder did not even get on my roof to give me an estimate. They showed up on time however, they took two days more then they said to complete the work. That said, they did a quality job and cleaned up very well.

I was out of the country for six years and the renters had not cleaned the gutters for almost 6 years. The roof was leaking and they did a great job fixing it. They came right on time.

It went well. The crew came one day later than originally scheduled for the two day job because of rain the day before. They called me and told me that of the rain delay. I was also warned up front that rain could delay the project. They provided two crews and finished the job on time in only one day. The men were all very pleasant and polite. The clean up went well. My neighbors used someone else and three years later are still finding nails in their yards. Marshall Roofing cleaned up much better both during and after the job was completed.

Very timely with the site visit, estimate, and start of work. Marshall did the roof and removed siding so another company could provide and install windows. The window installation by the other company did not go smoothly, adding a six week wait for Marshall to finish siding and gutter installation. Marshall was great about it and never complained; they coordinated everything with the window company to make sure things moved forward as quickly as possible. My husband knows residential construction and oversaw all aspects of the work. Some details of the Marshall work had to be redone, but after their project manager reviewed the work he agreed with my husband and they redid the work immediately and at no extra cost. The end result is lovely. One great aspect of Marshall is they do the work without requiring a deposit. They invoice after the project is complete and the client is completely satisfied. Their bid was the highest of three, but their recommended methods involved more material and labor leading (I believe) to a higher quality end-result, which is what we wanted. More on-site project management by someone at Marshall who is vested in maintaining their high quality image would have been helpful and eliminated the need for some aspects to be done twice.

The service was very good. The worker that came out was friendly and took care of business. He arrived promptly and finished on time. One issue I had was that their back office messed up the appointment time then after the work got done there was some confusion with the billing which took two months to get straightened out. The people who came out and did the work were great. It was just the back office that was lacking.

I was very satisfied with them. They came and did some emergency work for me in September of 2007. There was a leak in my roof. Since I had them replace my whole roof, they did not even charge me for the emergency service call. I was pleased with their service in responding to the initial call, so I was happy with having them replace the roof. They were very nice and prompt. They were friendly and professional as well. I would definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

I just called Marshall Roofing (7/7/08) to see about repairing or replacing a gutter system and doing some roof repair work. And I was told that they are "completely booked" through August for repairs. And they wouldn't even come out and give me an estimate. Very disappointing for a company that is rated so highly.

They did a very good job. The price was reasonable. They were on time and efficient. Their clean up was good. The sales people were very knowledge. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Called them on July 1, 2008 to get an estimate for a repair that was needed. They told me to call back in August unless I was going to do a roof replacement.

Except for the weather, project was only delayed one day from the estimated start date of project. The estimator, Doug McCleaf, was very thorough in explaining the work that was needed and what was going to be done during the job process; I really appreciated that since this was going to be an expensive repair for me. I also appreciated that it was not required for me to be present during the process; I had already taken a lot of days from work with some other home projects.

They were great, they were really awesome. I found them on the list and I was very pleased. They didn't require any sort of deposit, the payment was all taken after the fact. I would recommend them to all of my friends.

They came back and did a part of the job even before I expected.

The work was outstanding! The quality and pricing were great, and it was a wonderful experience overall. They were very professional.
